De muntslag van de stad Roermond, 1486-1489

    No full text
In 1486, the city of Roermond was granted the permission to coin half stuivers. This privilege was already known to Van der Chijs (1853), but hitherto it was not known whether or not the city had actually used it. Based on published and unpublished archival data, we argue that the privilege has indeed been used and identify the mint master as well as the type (Van Gelder-Hoc 166).status: publishe
