THE IMPACT OF STORYTELLING ON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ ORAL PERFORMANCE
This paper examines the impact of storytelling on high school students’ oral performance and their attitudes towards this instruction. Using an experimental mixed methods design, pretests, posttests, and interviews were undertaken with thirty six students in the pilot class of academic years 2017-2018. The findings of the study indicate that these participating students were in favor of learning with storytelling rather than other ways. The quantitative analysis reveals that students in the experimental group outperformed those in the control group, suggesting that storytelling instruction was useful to high school students using the pilot textbooks. The impact of inquiry-based laboratories on improving pre-service teachers’ experimental competency
In the study we are presenting, the effects of inquiry-based laboratories on the experimental competency of pre-service physics teachers have been analyzed. An experimental quantitative analysis method, the static-group pretest-posttest design, has been utilized. A total of 32 pre-service physics teachers participated in the experimental group. To observe the experimental competency level development of pre-service physics teachers, Physics Lab Inventory of Critical thinking (PLIC) test and experimental competency test were used (Walsh et al., 2019). The PLIC is a standardized assessment instrument to determine the degree to which students develop these skills through instructional laboratories. The PLIC test is composed of four scales (evaluating models, evaluating methods, suggesting following-ups and normalized score) and these scales aim to test a part of experimental competencies.
Inquiry-based laboratory (IBL) is understood as an organization method in which learners use experiments to acquire knowledge and form personal competency in different openness levels. IBL is considered as an inquiry-based learning method in the experimental module to develop student engagement (Smallhorn et al., 2015). IBL approaches are more student-involved and develop the scientific process skills (Kolkhorst et al., 2001). IBL attracts the active participation of students for experimental modules. Students prefer to study IBL over traditional laboratory (Parappilly et al., 2013). IBL practices enable the learners who take part in the process to improve students' scientific process skills of pre-service science teachers (Yakar & Baykara, 2012). Therefore, in this study, we have used IBL in the General Physics Laboratory to develop students' experimental competency.
Data obtained from data collection tools were evaluated using a variety of analysis methods available in SPSS 20. For the resolution of data and illustrating whether there was a meaningful difference between pretest and posttest scores, the PLIC test, experimental competency test, and paired Samples t-Test were used. In sum, the first result evaluated the effectiveness of IBL for the General Physics Laboratory course. IBL enhanced pre-service teachers' experimental competency. The second result is the development level of pre-service teachers’ behavioral indicators in the experimental competency framework. There were 14.63% pre-service teachers who achieved at behavioral level 3 and 85.37% pre-service teachers who achieved behavioral level 2. The most developed behavioral indicators of them were 1.3 Determine the purpose of the experiment and 2.1 Determine the experiment instruments to be used; and the least was 2.7 Suggest ideas for improving equipment laboratory.

INFLUENCE OF GROWING MEDIA AND VARIETIES ON GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF MOKARA IN TAM KY, QUANG NAM PROVINCE
Abstract: Mokara Orchid is a trigeneric hybrid between the Ascocentrum, Vanda and Arachnis Orchids and was created in Singapore in 1969. Mokara is now popularly grown in Vietnam; however, research on variety or growing medium for Mokara orchid in Quang Nam has not been reported yet. The objective of this study is to identify adapted Moraka varieties and suitable growing media for the cultivation of Mokara orchids under the local conditions. The experiment was conducted from June 2016 to December 2017 at Truong Xuan Ward, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam province using a subplot design, where the growing medium is the main plot and Mokara orchid varietyis the split-plot. The experiment includes three Mokara varieties belonging to genus Mokara with 3 colors: yellow, lime, and pink spotand four growing media with different ratios of peanut shell, charcoal, and coir. The results show that the growing media significantly affect the plant height and flower yield, but they do not affect the leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, root number, and flower quality of the Mokara varieties. The varieties affect the growth and development, flower quality, and yield of Mokara. Using the same media, the pink spot Mokara variety gains the best growth and development, and the yellow Mokara variety provides the highest yield. These Mokara varieties gain the best flower quality. The growing medium with 50% coir and 50% peanut shell can be used to plant yellow Mokara (or pink spot Mokara) under the local conditions.Keywords: Mokara orchid varieties, growing medium, coir, peanut shell, yellow Mokara, pink spot Mokar
Monetary policy and bank liquidity creation: does bank size matter?
This paper investigates the effect of monetary policy on liquidity creation of commercial banks and if the effect is conditional on bank size. The paper uses a dataset covering 23 Vietnamese commercial banks during the period 2007–2017 collected from various sources including State Bank of Vietnam, International Monetary Fund, SNL Financial database (provided by SNL Company), Vietnam General Statistic Office and banks’ annual reports. Different econometric techniques are employed to analyse the data. Obtained results indicate that a contractionary monetary policy could lead to a decrease in bank liquidity creation. This result is less pronounced with larger banks. In particular, among three monetary policy instruments employed in Vietnam, an increase in the base rate is significantly associated with a contraction in bank liquidity creation; open market operations may have a marginal impact while required reserve ratio is ineffective because of its unchanged value throughout the period of the study. This paper is among the first, providing an insight into each monetary policy instrument's role in influencing bank liquidity creation in the context of an emerging economy
Encouraging the Startup Spirit of Students: Implications and Solutions
Starting a business by the establishment of a new business or a new business project plays an important role in the economic development of each country. Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of students at universities is the basis for contributing to the success of start-up countries. This study provides empirical evidence of factors affecting student entrepreneurship based on survey data of a sample of 321 students. The study results clarify the factors affecting the initial entrepreneurial intention of students, and are an important foundation for starting-up in the future. Since then, the findings from regression analysis are the basis to imply some solutions from the school and the Government to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of young people. Applying calcium fluoride and silica particles: A solution to improve color homogeneity of pc-WLEDS
This article focuses on enhancing the lighting efficiency of pc-WLEDs, a new and advanced lighting solution that has received lots of attention. To adapt to the demand of modern lighting, the lighting performance of pc-WLEDs must be improved, especially the color homogeneity and luminous flux, two of the most important quality indicators of pc-WLEDs. Through experiments, this article proposes using the scattering enhancement particles (SEPs) such as CaF2 and SiO2 with yellow phosphor Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ in pc-WLEDs configuration. The pc-WLEDs model is created by using the LightTools program and set at 8500 K correlated color temperature, while the experimental results yielded from this simulation will be verified by Mie-scattering theory. The information from this article reveals the scattering coefficients of SEPs at 455 nm and 595 nm wavelengths. Moreover, it is confirmed that the employment of CaF2 is effective in promoting the color but may damage the luminous efficiency if the concentration is too high while the SEP material, SiO2, exhibits high luminous efficiency at all concentration
Influence of silica resource from rice husk on structure of HZSM-5 zeolite
HZSM-5 zeolites were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal treament using silica from rice husk and glasses water. The samples were characterized by XRD, IR, SEM, TEM, BET and 27Al-NMR methods. Characterization results revealed that HZSM-5 material synthesized from rice husk silica has crystallinity and acidity as high as HZSM-5 sample synthesized from glasses water. HZSM-5 material synthesized from rice husk silica not only has the conventional pores system as shown structure of HZSM-5 sample synthesized from glasses water, but also has mesoporous system with kinetic diameter in range of 10-50 nm. This multi-porous system is expected to increase significantly the catalytic activity of synthesized material in the reactions with the present of large molecules . CHOOSE REMEMBERSHIP REMEDIES TO IMPROVE THE HAPPINESS OF FEMALE OFFICERS AND OFFICERS UNIVERSITY OF FITNESS AND SPORTS DA NANG, VIETNAM
Happiness has long been a veritable area of scientific research in most industrialized countries. Using the method of synthesis of documents and interview method, the study investigates the current state of happiness of 30 female officers and employees of Danang University of Physical Education and Sports using the author's happiness scale. Michael Argyle and Peter Hills (2002) have shown: 30.0% less are happy; 43.33% are happy on average; 26.67% are moderately happy; the most important factor in happiness is health. Subject-selected measures that can increase happiness are finding moments with loved ones in the family; practising more positive thinking; accepting the reality of the situation; join arts and sports clubs
RECONSTRUCTION OF DIVACANCY IN ZIGZAG-BUCKLED SILICENE NANORIBBONS
In this study, we use a tight binding model to investigate structural and electronic changes in zigzag-buckled silicene nanoribbons (ZBSiNRs) with two vacancies at different positions. We divide the defects into two categories based on a difference in geometric properties. The results show that the first- and second-order interaction parameters of two atoms of the same type play an important role in the electronic properties of this material. Vacancies near the edge have a stronger effect than those near the center of the ribbons. We further show that each type of divacancy will give a different result under the influence of a perpendicular electric field. This is a favorable condition for controlling the conductive state of materials in future applications in the semiconductor and thermoelectric industries
