    In this research, a new derivative of quinoline, namely 5-bromo-6,7-dihydroxyl-1-methyl-3-sulfoquinole (QOH) as well as two complexes of Ni(II) and Pd(II) with this ligand [M(QOH-1H)2] were synthesized. The molecular formulas and structures of the complexes were determined using a combination of IR, EDX, ESI MS and 1H NMR spectra. Additionally, the structure of the palladium complex was assigned by a combination with quantum chemical calculations using the method of density functional theory which is implemented in Gaussian 09 program package. The results show that this is a square planar complex, in which the QOH ligand coordinates with the center ion Pd(II) via the O atom of its –OH phenol groups and the OH groups have trans configuration.     This paper presents the effect of metal promoters (M = Ce, Cr, Mn  and Zr) on the catalytic performance of 15%Co/0.05M-SBA-15 catalysts for the Fischer- Tropsch synthesis. The results showed that the promoters were on SBA-15 influenced on the contribution of Co particles (shape, size, dispersion) on the walls of M-SBA-15 materials. These changes not only increased CO conversion but also significantly increased the liquid product C5+ selectivity. Catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, TEM, UV-vis, H2-TPR, TPD-NH3, ICP. The catalytic performances of catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis were tested in a fixed bed reactor. The liquid product was analyzed by GC-MS to calculate hydrocarbon selectivity

    A Study on Energy Benchmark for Hotel Buildings in Da Nang

    Hotel buildings have been developing very rapidly in tourism cities, especially in Danang. To effectively manage energy consumption of this type of buildings, it is necessary to establish an energy benchmark, moving towards energy labeling corresponding to buildings' energy efficiency. This study proposes a method to establish an energy benchmark by conducting a survey and analysis of real-world data of 55 hotels in Danang. The results show that the higher the rating (star-rating) of a hotel, is, the more energy it consumes; with an average of 87,4 kWh/m2.year or 8628,6 kWh/bedroom/year. This study also proposes an energy-efficiency-based rating scale for hotel buildings, including 7 grades from A to G. The results of the study demonstrate potential applications in hotel building management, design, construction and renovation of this building type
