Results from NEMO 3
The NEMO 3 experiment is located in the Modane Underground Laboratory and has
been taking data since 2003 with seven isotopes. It is searching for the double
beta decay process with two or zero neutrinos emitted in the final state.
Precision measurements of the half-life of the isotopes due to two neutrino
double beta decay have been performed and new results for 96Zr, 48Ca and 150Nd
are presented here. Measurements of this process are important for reducing the
uncertainties on the nuclear matrix elements. No evidence for zero neutrino
double beta decay has been found and a 90% Confidence Level lower limit on the
half-life of this process is derived. From this an upper limit can be set on
the effective Majorana neutrino mass using the most recent nuclear matrix
elements calculations.Comment: 4 pages, 6 figures, a paper submitted to the proceedings for the

Effects of architectural issues on a km3 scale detector
Simulation results showing the comparison between the performance of
different km3 detector geometries are reported. Effective neutrino areas and
angular resolutions are reported for three different geometries based on
NEMO-towers and strings. The results show that the NEMO-tower based detector
has the best performance concerning both the effective area and the angular
resolution isotropyComment: to be published on VVVNT2 proceedings (Catania, Italy, November 8-11,

Limits on different majoron decay modes of 100Mo and 82Se for neutrinoless double beta decays in the NEMO-3 experiment
The NEMO-3 tracking detector is located in the Fréjus Underground Laboratory. It was designed to study double beta decay in a number of different isotopes. Presented here are the experimental half-life limits on the double beta decay process for the isotopes 100Mo and 82Se for different majoron emission modes and limits on the effective neutrino–majoron coupling constants. In particular, new limits on “ordinary” majoron (spectral index 1) decay of 100Mo (T1/2>2.7×1022 yr) and 82Se (T1/2>1.5×1022 yr) have been obtained. Corresponding bounds on the majoron–neutrino coupling constant are gee<(0.4–1.8)×10−4 and <(0.66–1.9)×10−4
How did the prudentes work on the Breviarium Alaricanum ? The example of the laws on Jews
11 p.To understand the authors of the Breviarium Alaricanum (sixth century in Aquitaine), their object, their logic, and their methods, there is no alternative but to make an internal study of the work itself. Thus, we proceed to an internal analysis of the code, focusing on those laws that concern the Jews. In the selection of the sources of Roman law and their organization in the Breviary, the prudentes operated some significant choices. This is even more apparent in the rewriting and commentaries. This work reflects the issues which existed in the Jewish western communities in that time, which the compilers knew they were still dealt with in tribunals.
INVESTIGATING LINGUISTIC PERFORMANCE OF DEVAYAN CHILDREN SPEAKERS TOWARD THEIR INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE
ABSTRACTName : Nemo OrizaStudent No : 1306102020072Study Program : English EducationTitle : Investigating Linguistic Performance of Devayan Children Speakers Toward Their Indigenous LanguageKeywords: Linguistic Performance, Linguistic Competence, DevayanThe objective of this research is to find out how the linguistic performance of Devayan children speaker toward their indigenous language employed by Chomsky (2006). The subject of this research was 15 children age from 9-11 who lived in Awe Seubal, a village in Simeulue Island. A case study method was undertaken by conducting tests, interviewing them, and observing their activities in order to attain the needed data in this study. The result of instruments showed that most of the children maintain a good performance toward their indigenous language by keep using it in daily activities, speak with it correctly, and to choose Devayan than Bahasa while playing among them. Meanwhile, some of parents and neighbors using Bahasa to communicate with the children come as a problem to the existence of the language. In conclusion, the use linguistic performance of Devayan children speakers toward their indigenous language are considerably as good as a native should be
Challenges in endangered language lexicography
International audienceWhen it comes to endangered minority languages, lexicography is faced with specific limits and challenges. Based on our field lexicography experience and on the writing of a Palikur (Arawakan, French Guyana) dictionary, this paper aims to present some of the shortcomings of dictionary production, and what should and could be done to address the specific challenges which have to be met. First of all, we shall discuss several frequent limits (of) small language dictionaries, namely: i) the absence/scarcity of available corpora; ii) the use of an onomasiological approach for word collection, through a kind of enlarged Swadesh list methodology; iii) the consequent reduction of dictionaries to mere lexical lists; iv) the consequent risk of minoring the lexical specificities of a language by using pre-determinate lists of things or notions to be named. Secondly, we shall advocate for an approach to field lexicography centred on the collection of the most rapidly vanishing parts of the vocabulary, and insist on the strategies which can be used in order to do so, defending the necessity to overcome the lexicographer’s absence of expertise in many fields of knowledge by promoting multidisciplinary field work. This issue will be illustrated by the example of the “biolexicon” (plants, insects, etc.) in Palikur. Finally, we shall tackle word translation issues, and the risk to produce either hyperonymic lexicographical descriptions or precise (but unusable for the reader) equivalents. We shall show how these constraints should lead to a semi-encyclopaedic lexicographical approach
