This reseach aimed to find the formula for rubber membrane filter press as substitution of imported ones. The treatment were kaolin (45, 50, 53, and coconut shell charcoal as a filler. The results showed that rubber membrane filter press-M3 had better chemical and physical properties than imported rubber membrane filter press. Test results for the rubber membrane filter press-M3 showed hardness value 126 shore A; tensile strength 173 kg/cm2 ; tensile strength of 200% with a value of 51 kg/cm2; elongation at break of 869%, tear resistance 119 kg/cm2 ; gravity of 1.992 g/cm2 and abrasion resistance DIN 210.6 mm2. The test results of rubber membrane filter press (M3) shows the development of the formula, kaolin derived from Bangka Island and coconut shell charcoal is added as a filler in rubber formula membrane filter press to improve the physical properties and gives a tendency to increase the bond between the rubber membrane-forming molecules filter press

Analyzing the Influence of Rain Frequency Infiltration Rate and Infiltration Capacity in Common Soil Type (Laboratory Testing Study With Rainfall Simulator). Infiltration is the flow of water into the ground through the soil surface. This process is a very important part of the hydrological cycle and in the process of transferring rain into the flow of water in the soil before reaching the river. Infiltration (infiltration rate and capacity) is influenced by various variables, including soil type, slope inclination, density and type of vegetation, soil moisture content, and rainfall intensity. This study aims to determine the effect of rainfall frequency on the infiltration rate and infiltration capacity on common soil types. This research is a type of laboratory experimental research, using rainfall simulator tool. The soil used in this study is common soil type. Furthermore, artificial rain was provided with intensity I5, I15, and I25 and performed infiltration rate reading on the Drain Rainfall Simulator. The rate and capacity of infiltration in common soils increase proportionally to the increased intensity of rainfall, the higher the intensity of rainfall the higher the infiltration occurring at the same level of rain frequency. The rate and capacity of infiltration in common soils decrease proportionally to the increasing frequency of rain, the more the frequency of rain the smaller the infiltration occurring at the same level of rainfall intensit

The objective of this research was to study the effect of fillers such as carbon black, caolin, and calcium carbonates on the physic-mechanical properties of rubber product (rubber waves). The design formula of this research was five formulas (A; B; C; D; and E), that designs as follows natural rubber (92; 90; 88; 84; and 80) phr; chlorprene rubber (4; 5; 6; 8; and 10); carbon black (50; 49; 48; 47; and 46) phr; caoline (10; 8; 6; 4; and 2) phr; and calcium carbonate (2; 4; 6; 8; and 10) phr respectively for each formulas. The natural and synthetics were masticated using two roll mill and then vulcanized according to the standard procedures. The best formula for rubber wave product is formula B that has properties as follows: specific gravity 1.206; hardness 71 shore A; abrasion resistance 190 mm3; 300% modulus 7.9 MPa; tensile strength 12.8 MPa; compression set 9.51%; and ozone resistance no crack

This reseach aims to stady the process of delignification lignin from oil palm empty fruit bunches for each treatment with 500 g weight with a solution of NaOH at concentration 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8%. Delignification process takes place at temperatures of steam sterilization bay autoclve for 50 minutes, 75 minutes, 100 minutes, and 125 minutes. Delignification results of oil palm empty fruit bunches are washed with water pH 6 t0 6.5. After being washed drained on gauze for 60 minutes. The performed the first stage fermentation with Trichoderma viride fungus 20% w/w of oil palm empty fruit bunches witha time of 2 days, 4 days, 6 days and 8 days. The second stage fermentation with Aspergillus Niger 20% w/w with a time of 2 days, 4 days, 6 days and 8 days. The resulting glucose was tested based on SNI 01-2892-1992. The test results indicate delignification of palm empity fruit bunches with 8% NaOH solution in conjunction with the sterilization process for 100 minutes to reduce levels of lignin from 22.158% to 2,361%. Gradual hydrolysis of cellulose from oil palm empty bunches fruit bunches with Trichoderma viride fermentation time of 2 days during the first stage followed by a second phase hydrolysys with Aspergillus Niger for 6 days to produce glucose 1.251 mg/L

The objective of research was to study the mechanical properties of solid tyre which was made by using local fillers namely silica extracted from quart sand, coal fly ash, kaolin as well as used cooking oil as softener. Solid tyre were made through mastication, vulcanization, and molding. The Solid tyre comprising 5 (five) formulas namely Formula A, B, C, D, and formula E. The mechanical properties of the solid tyre of each treatment were compared with the mechanical properties of the solid tyre originating from imports (F*). Testing of mechanical properties for each treatment were made 3 (three) replications. Test result showed that the mechanical properties of formula B was comparable to the imported solid tyre in term of hardness 76 shore A; Tensile strength of 133.91 kg / cm2; Modulus 200% was 23.64; Elongation at break 562%; Tear strength 64.88 kg.c-1; Specific gravity 1.23; Abrassion resistance (DIN) 108.25 mm3; Compression set at 25% defl, 70oC, 22h was 73,43; Ozone resistance (50 pphm 20% strain 24 h 40oC) was no crack; and tensile strength after aging (70oC, 24 h) 120.18 kg / cm2
