Classical q-deformed dynamics
On the basis of the quantum q-oscillator algebra in the framework of quantum
groups and non-commutative q-differential calculus, we investigate a possible
q-deformation of the classical Poisson bracket in order to extend a generalized
q-deformed dynamics in the classical regime. In this framework, classical
q-deformed kinetic equations, Kramers and Fokker-Planck equations, are also
studied.

Deformed quantum statistics in two-dimensions
It is known from the early work of May in 1964 that ideal Bose gas do not
exhibit condensation phenomenon in two dimensions. On the other hand, it is
also known that the thermostatistics arising from q-deformed oscillator algebra
has no connection with the spatial dimensions of the system. Our recent work
concerns the study of important thermodynamic functions such as the entropy,
occupation number, internal energy and specific heat in ordinary three spatial
dimensions, where we established that such thermostatistics is developed by
consistently replacing the ordinary thermodynamic derivatives by the Jackson
derivatives. The thermostatistics of q-deformed bosons and fermions in two
spatial dimensions is an unresolved question and that is the subject of this
investigation. We study the principal thermodynamic functions of both bosons
and fermions in the two dimensional q-deformed formalism and we find that,
different from the standard case, the specific heat of q-boson and q-fermion
ideal gas, at fixed temperature and number of particle, are no longer
identical.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figure
Linear Stability of Double Diffusive Convection of Hadley-prats Flow with Viscous Dissipation in a Porous Media
Linear stability analysis of double diffusive convection in a horizontal fluid saturated porous layer has been carried out. Effects of viscous dissipation, horizontal mass flow are taken into account. Combined effects of horizontal mass flow, viscous dissipation may cause instability in the fluid system. To carry out linear stability analysis, disturbances are the form of longitudinal rolls, transverse rolls have been considered. In order to solve eigenvalue problem numerically, Runge-Kutta and shooting methods have been employed for the case of longitudinal rolls. Chebyshev-Tau method has been used for the case of transverse rolls. Critical wave number a(C), critical vertical thermal Rayleigh number Ra-C are evaluated for assigned values of flow governing parameters. For the onset of convection, physical explanation is given
Performance and Comparative Analysis of the Two Contrary Approaches for Detecting Near Duplicate Web Documents in Web Crawling
Recent years have witnessed the drastic development of World Wide Web (WWW). Information is being accessible at the finger tip anytime anywhere through the massive web repository. The performance and reliability of web engines thus face huge problems due to the presence of enormous amount of web data. The voluminous amount of web documents has resulted in problems for search engines leading to the fact that the search results are of less relevance to the user. In addition to this, the presence of duplicate and near-duplicate web documents has created an additional overhead for the search engines critically affecting their performance. The demand for integrating data from heterogeneous sources leads to the problem of near-duplicate web pages. The detection of near duplicate documents within a collection has recently become an area of great interest. In this research, we have presented an efficient approach for the detection of near duplicate web pages in web crawling which uses keywords and the distance measure. Besides that, G.S. Manku et al.’s fingerprint based approach proposed in 2007 was considered as one of the “state-of-the-art" algorithms for finding near-duplicate web pages. Then we have implemented both the approaches and conducted an extensive comparative study between our similarity score based approach and G.S. Manku et al.’s fingerprint based approach. We have analyzed our results in terms of time complexity, space complexity, Memory usage and the confusion matrix parameters. After taking into account the above mentioned performance factors for the two approaches, the comparison study clearly portrays our approach the better (less complex) of the two based on the factors considered.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v2i6.1746
Cubic Spline and Their Application
In this dissertation, we describe Cubic Splines and their applications. In particular Cubic Splines are
discussed in detail with their applications in the Interpolation,Solutions of Initial Value Problems
and Solutions of Boundary Value Problems. These are easy to implement on a computer. Several
numerical examples have been solved to demonstrate the applicability of Cubic Splines. In the case of
Boundary Value Problems, computational results are presented for constant coefficients, variable coefficients of homogeneous,non-homogeneous linear two point Boundary Value Problems. Computational results have been taken for different step sixes and these results are compared with exact solutions. It is observed from the computational results that the Cubic Spline approximate the exact solution

Transformations of q-boson and q-fermion algebras
We investigate the algebras satisfied by q-deformed boson and fermion
oscillators, in particular the transformations of the algebra from one form to
another. Based on a specific algebra proposed in recent literature, we show
that the algebra of deformed fermions can be transformed to that of undeformed
standard fermions. Furthermore we also show that the algebra of q-deformed
fermions can be transformed to that of undeformed standard bosons.Comment: 7 pages, RevTe
Pressure induced electronic topological transition in Sb2S3
Pressure induced electronic topological transitions in the wide band gap
semiconductor Sb2S3 (Eg = 1.7-1.8 eV) with similar crystal symmetry (SG: Pnma)
to its illustrious analog, Sb2Se3, has been studied using Raman spectroscopy,
resistivity and the available literature on the x-ray diffraction studies. In
this report, the vibrational and the transport properties of Sb2S3 have been
studied up to 22 GPa and 11 GPa, respectively. We observed the softening of
phonon modes Ag(2), Ag(3) and B2g and a sharp anomaly in their line widths at 4
GPa. The resistivity studies also shows an anomaly around this pressure. The
changes in resistivity as well as Raman line widths can be ascribed to the
changes in the topology of the Fermi surface which induces the electron-phonon
and the strong phonon-phonon coupling, indicating a clear evidence of the
electronic topological transition (ETT) in Sb2S3. The pressure dependence of
a/c ratio plot obtained from the literature showed a minimum at ~ 5 GPa, which
is consistent with our high pressure Raman and resistivity results. Finally, we
give the plausible reasons for the non-existence of a non-trivial topological
state in Sb2S3 at high pressures.Comment: 24 pages, 6 Figures, 2 tables submitted for publicatio
Spin-phonon coupling in multiferroic RCrO (R-Y, Lu, Gd, Eu, Sm): A Raman study
Raman study on a select few orthochromites, RCrO (R = Y, Lu, Gd, Eu and
Sm) shows that the phonon behavior at TN in compounds with magnetic R-ion (Gd
and Sm) is remarkably different from that of non-magnetic R-ion (Y, Lu and Eu).
While anomalies in most of the observed phonon frequencies in all these
compounds may result from the distortion of CrO octahedra due to size
effect and magnetostriction arising from Cr-ordering, the anomalous behavior of
their linewidths observed at TN for the compounds with only magnetic R-ion
suggests spin-phonon coupling. The presence of spin-phonon coupling and the
anomalies in the low frequency modes related to R-ion motion in orthochromites
(R = Gd and Sm) support the suggestion that the coupling between 4f-3d moments
play important role in inducing switchable electric polarization.Comment: 6 pages (two column format), 7 figures; The updated version of the
