Detecting the emerging areas becomes interest by the fast development of social networks. As the information exchanged in social networks post include not only the text but also images, URLs and video therefore conventional-term-frequency-based approaches may not be appropriate in this context. Emergence of areas is focused by social aspects of these networks. To detect the emergence of new areas from the hundreds of users based on the responds in social network posts. A probability model is proposed for mentioning behavior of social networks by the number of mentions per post and the occurrence of users taking place in the mentions. The basic assumption is that a new emerging topic is something people feel like discussing, stating or forwarding the data further to their friends. In the proposed system the link anomaly model is combined with word based and text based approach. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15039

Automatic classification of brain images has a censorious act in calm down the burden of manual characterize and developing power of brain tumor diagnosis. In this paper, Stanchion Vector Machine (SVM) method has been employed to perform classification of brain tumor images into their variety and grades. Chiefly the target is on four brain tumor categories-Normal, Glioma, Meningioma, Metastasis and the four grades of Astrocytomas, which is a conventional section of Glioma. We consult segmentation of glioma tumors, which have a large deviation in size, pattern and appearance inheritance. In this paper images are enlarged and normalized to same range in a pre-functioning stride. The enlarged images are then segmented positioned on their intensities applying 3D super-voxels. This effort analyze the SVM classifier applying variance statistical feature set the final analysis shows that for brain tumor categories and grades classification. The analyses are repeated for variance SVM categories, kernel categories and gamma points of kernel section. Analysis on the misclassification is implemented for each feature set applying specificity and sensitivity measures. At the end of this effort, we inferred that the Statistical feature Extraction(SFE) method is classifying the brain tumor categories satisfactorily but comparatively lacks in tumor grade classification. The health of the baby must be guarded from the time of conception. Every birth must be considered as a medical emergency. Neonatal morbidity and mortality is directly related to the birth weight and gestational maturity of the newborn. There is no indicator in human biology which tells us so much about the past events and future trajectory of life as the weight of infant at birth. The study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of information education communication package on knowledge regarding home care management of high risk newborn among mothers. The hypothesis formulated was that there was no significant relationship between the information education communication package and the level of the knowledge regarding home care management of high risk newborn among mothers. The review of literature had included the studies which provides a strong foundation for the study including the basis for conceptual framework and the formation of tool. The research design used in this study was pre experimental one group pre test post test design. It was carried out with 50 samples who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples. A self administered tool was given to the mothers to assess the pre test level of knowledge. Information education communication package was given to the mothers for a period of 30 minutes. The post test was assessed after three days by using the same tool. The analysis revealed that the pre test mean score was 11.42 with the standard deviation of 2.14 and the post test mean score was 24.67 and with the standard deviation of 2.22 and the students paired “t’ test value was 27.20 which showed as significant at p ≤ 0.001 level. Thus the analysis revealed that there was an increase in post test level of knowledge, and also it indicates the effectiveness of information education communication package on knowledge regarding home care management of high risk newborn among mothers. So null hypothesis was rejected and research hypothesis was accepted for this study

HVS Based Enhanced Medical Image Fusion

    Get PDF
ABSTRACT. Medical image fusion will help the physicians to extract the features visible in images by different modalities. In this paper, a novel discrete wavelet transform (DWT) based technique for medical image fusion is presented. Firstly, the medical images to be fused are extracted .Secondly conversion into grayscale is carried out before decomposition by the DWT. Then by considering the characteristics of human visual system (HVS) and the physical meaning of the wavelet coefficients, new different fusion schemes are performed on low frequency and high frequency bands separately, i.e. Visibility Based Scheme for the low frequency coefficients and Variance Based Scheme for the high frequency coefficients are applied. Finally, the fused image is constructed by the inverse discrete wavelet transform (IDWT) with all the combined coefficients

Examining the Association of Second Grade Children\u27s Sleep and Screen Time Recommendations

Background: Adequate sleep is essential for various health outcomes (e.g., obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease). However, sleep time is threatened by the increased opportunities for unsupervised screen time available to children of all ages. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends that elementary-aged children sleep between 9-12 hours per night. Further, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children\u27s recreational screen time be limited to less than two hours per day. Excess screen use can delay bedtime and lead to less restful sleep. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between adhering to screentime guidelines (/day) and the likelihood of meeting sleep guidelines (9-12 hours/day) in 2nd-grade children. Methods: This study utilized two waves (2015-2016 and 2019-2020) of 2nd graders\u27 parent-reported weighted survey data from the Texas School Physical Activity and Nutrition (SPAN) cross-sectional survey. Results: The final analytic sample included (n=3,193) individuals (53% female, 62% Hispanic) across two years of data collection. 65% of parents/guardians reported their children met the sleep guidelines, while 33% of parents/guardians reported their children meeting the screentime guideline. After controlling for BMI, race/ethnicity, school disadvantage, education, sex, and year of collection, parents who reported their children met the screentime guideline had 1.53 greater odds of meeting sleep guidelines compared to children whose parent/guardians reported their children did not meet the screentime guidelines OR (1.53 95%CI = 1.18, 1.99). In stratified analyses, we found that the associations between meeting sleep and screen time guidelines were primarily true for White children. A higher proportion of white children were more likely to meet both sleep time and screen time recommendations compared to black and Hispanic children, while Black and Hispanic children were as likely to meet screen time guidelines as White children; both groups had significantly lower odds of meeting sleep guidelines compared to White children OR 0.32 (95%CI = 0.18, 0.58) and OR 0.49 (95%CI = 0.29, 0.83) respectively. Discussion: Children\u27s ability to meet the recommended sleep guidelines is associated with screentime guideline adherence. Further exploration is needed to understand racial/ethnic differences in guideline adherence for screentime and sleep. Interventions targeting sleep characteristics (e.g., duration, quality, and timing) should consider concomitantly targeting screentime adherence in elementary-aged children
