    Professional Competencies of Medical Education Administrators from Faculty Viewpoint: A Qualitative Study

    Background: Educational administration is aimed to facilitate and protect the education and learning. Appropriate response to the threats and opportunities of the present era necessitates the educational administrators to be competent enough in this regard. Objective: This qualitative study was conducted to find out the opinions of faculties about the needed competencies of medical education administrators in 2009-2010. Methods: In-depth interviews with 10 faculty members and three focus group discussions with 6 faculties in each session held. Findings: Proposed ideas were sorted into 20 categories and 110 competencies as knowledge and information management, leadership, budgeting and fiscal management, innovation and entrepreneurship, human resource management, quality management, educational planning, international relations, students services, educational administration in health fields, social and public relations, virtual education, knowledge about laws and regulations, change and crises management, cultural affairs, physical resources, personal traits, educational administration in clinical settings, medical ethics, and political issues. Conclusion: University administration necessitates competencies to ensure proper conduct of the scientific and executive affairs.     Examining the presentation of the model of promoting the interaction between school and family in the prevention of social misbehavior of adolescents (from the point of view of teachers and principals of schools in Tehran)

    Background and purpose: School factors such as its staff, which include teachers, administrators, supervisors, educational coaches, office managers and even servants, etc. in the school, can leave an impact on children and teenagers; Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate and present the model of improving the interaction between school and family in preventing the misbehavior of social teenagers (from the point of view of teachers and administrators of schools in Tehran). Research method: the current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of the nature and method of collecting information; And it is specifically based on structural equation modeling. The research data has been used using a questionnaire made by the researcher. The statistical population of the research is all principals and teachers of secondary schools in Panj city of Tehran. Cochran's formula was used to determine the sample size. According to the statistical population and according to Cochran's formula, 346 people were selected as a sample. The sampling method was a one-stage cluster random method and simple random. Findings: The results showed that in order to explain the data and check the fit of the model, the value of R2 for endogenous latent variables, as well as the variability value of the indicators of an endogenous structure, was used from the red criterion, and the obtained value was equal to 0.450. To fit the overall model, the GoF criterion method was used, the value obtained was equal to 0.57, which shows the strong fit of the model. Conclusion: The results showed that when parents participate in their child's education, the students' attitudes, behaviors and academic status are strengthened and it makes teenagers stay away from abnormal social behaviors. According to these results, it is suggested to the education organization to allocate enough funds and resources for the activities of teenagers in the school and try to help in the interaction of families and teenagers with the school by creating additional classes and a good educational environment.

    Investigating the Current and Desirable State of Business Education for Students: A Case Study of High School Students in the Education Department of Hormozgan Province

    The primary aim of the research conducted in this study was to compare the existing condition of business education for high school students in the branches of theoretical and technical-vocational studies in the Education Department of Hormozgan Province with the desired state. In order to achieve this objective, a quantitative research design was employed, specifically utilizing a descriptive survey method. The statistical population encompassed both male and female high school students who were pursuing studies in the aforementioned branches within the Education Department of Hormozgan Province. To gather the necessary data, a questionnaire was administered as the research instrument. The data obtained from the survey were subsequently analyzed using the one-sample t-test statistical approach. The outcomes of the analysis revealed a notable discrepancy between the current state of business education for students and the desired state. Furthermore, the findings prompted an exploration of strategies to prioritize students' education in the field of business within the school setting, encompassing both theoretical and technical-vocational branches. Additionally, practical recommendations for enhancing the quality of business education for students were provided
