On the linguistic situation of the Tatar diaspora in the USA

The present article explores the linguistic situation among emigrant Tatars by the example of the Turko-Tatar diaspora in the USA. The cultural and educational work of the Turko-Tatar diaspora contributes to the preservation of the native language, national traditions outside the country as the culture, the language and the religion have played an integral part in preserving the national and cultural image, the lifestyle of the immigrant in a foreign land, in a foreign culture. The language is deemed as the cornerstone of the spiritual culture, a means of cultural cross-fertilization and self-identification. The Tatar diaspora in the USA retains a collective memory of the country of origin as well as striving for self-identification. They possess an enduring identification with the country of origin along with a sense of group unity based on it in order to preserve and develop their language and culture in a foreign environment. The study has confirmed our hypothesis that the linguistic consciousness of the Tatar in America has several features that distinguish it from the linguistic consciousness of Tatars in Tatarstan. At the same time, general views of both groups to certain values can be traced in the linguistic thinking

The linguistic characteristics of Tatar paroemiae

This scientific article examines the linguistic (lexical and grammatical) characteristics of Tatar paroemiae, which are a prized source for studying linguistic level interrelations. Paroemiae incorporate unique lexical forms, rich grammatical material and types of syntactic constructions, speech patterns, and word combinations, which are not registered in written monuments. This explains the topicality of thorough linguistic research into Tatar paroemiae. The linguistic study of the language of Tatar paroemiae provides valuable material for typological generalizations, which enable us to identify the general and the specific in the structural-semantic organization of paroemiological units, which are manifested in specific lingual constructions

Paremiological fund of the Tatar people in the ethno-linguistic aspect

The scientific article is devoted to the research of the language of proverbs of the Tatar people, who carry chronologically deep and diverse information about the ethnos. The learning of a proverbs language deepens the theory of linguistics and ethnolinguistics, stimulates historical and typological interpretation of the age-old folk literature. The relevance of this research is due firstly to the great importance of the learning of the proverbs language in addressing of problem as well of history and ethnography of the Tatar people as of the standard language and its regularities of formation, secondly to the scantly knowledge of the proverbs language in the Tatar linguistics

Application of neural networks for the diagnosis of depth sucker rod pumps

© Research India Publications. One of the most common methods of artificial oil extraction is the use of depth sucker rod pumps. An effective way to diagnose the state of deep pumping equipment is to measure changes of load on the rod of a pumping unit and the analysis of a dynamometer. This method allows you to monitor the status of a depth sucker rod pump without its lifting to the surface. The drawing up of a conclusion according to the dynamometer - is the most important stage of the whole study, as on the basis of it the nature of an underground repair is determined. Considering the high cost of hoisting operations, an incorrectly assigned repair or untimely assigned repair is a very expensive one. Neural networks are often used in the problems of pattern recognition. We propose a block diagram of an automated fault detection system for a depth sucker rod pump and the algorithm of its operation. In order to test the possibility of neural network use the software was developed based with perceptron and Hamming neural networ use. The programs based on neural networks successfully coped with the task of pattern recognition. The use of an automated system based on neural networks will allow us to respond promptly to the changes in the underground equipment operation, and to take timely decisions on repair or its replacement and, therefore, to improve the efficiency of oil production process

Features of the language of tatars living in China

This study is focused on linguistic (phonetic, lexical and grammatical) features of speech of the Tatar diaspora living in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (People's Republic of China). The language of the Tatars living in this area has undergone certain changes due to its interactions with the contacting Turkic (Uyghur and Kazakh) languages. Due to the historical events, this language has been evolving in isolation from the modern Tatar-speaking population in the Chinese-speaking environment. For this very reason, archaic elements typical of the Old Tatar language have been preserved in it. On the other hand, the close territorial contacts, as well as national and cultural ties with the Uyghurs and Kazakhs have been establishing good conditions for penetration of Chinese words into the language of Tatars living in China. Studying the lexical and grammatical features of the language of the Tatar diaspora in the People's Republic of China plays a significant role for solving individual problems related to the history and dialectology of the Modern Tatar and other Turkic languages (in particular, Uyghur and Kazakh ones). © IDOSI Publications, 2013
