The possibilities of the method are analyzed, in particular, the energy potential of detecting the minimum passing frequency - the cut-off frequency - using both classical impulse radio signals and linear-frequency - modulated radiation. The physical prerequisites for the implementation of the method and the mode structure of transionograms are discussed, including the presence of large-scale electron density inhomogeneities.207-21
