THE UTILISATION OF CONCENTRATION PROFILE SIMULATION TO PREDICT LITHIUM-ION CELL PERFORMANCE
This paper presents the lithium-ion concentration profile
simulation in the cathode for the half cell to predict the
performance of the lithium-ion cell. The mathematical
model is utilized in order to identify the lithium-ion cell
system in the solution phase. Then the model is used to
describe the discharge behavior of the rechargeable cell
based on the simulated concentration profile. For this
work, the cathode is the positive electrode employing
LiMn2O4 as the active material. In addition, the
numerical technique namely Finite Difference Method is
used to solve the material balance equation of lithiumion
cell. This method is compared to other methods to
identify the concentration profile. Nevertheless, the
solutions in this paper merely focus on the concentration
profile of lithium-ion in the cathode under galvanostatic
discharge in the half cell
Safety and Efficacy of nab-Paclitaxel in the Treatment of Patients with Breast Cancer
Taxanes are highly active chemotherapeutic agents in the treatment of early-stage and metastatic breast cancer. Novel formulations have been developed to improve efficacy and decrease toxicity associated with these cytotoxic agents. nab-paclitaxel is a solvent free, albumin-bound 130-nanometer particle formulation of paclitaxel (Abraxane®, Abraxis Bioscience), which was developed to avoid toxicities of the Cremophor vehicle used in solvent-based paclitaxel. In a phase III clinical trial, nab-paclitaxel demonstrated higher response rates, better safety and side-effect profile compared to conventional paclitaxel, and improved survival in patients receiving it as second line therapy. Higher doses can be administered over a shorter infusion time without the need for special infusion sets or pre-medications. It is now approved in the US for treatment of breast cancer after failure of combination chemotherapy for metastatic disease or relapse within 6 months of adjuvant therapy, where prior therapy included an anthracycline. Recently, several phase II studies have suggested a role for nab-paclitaxel as a single agent and in combination with other agents for first-line treatment of metastatic breast cancer

Analisis trend bagi pesalah muda yang telah menjalani hukuman perintah khidmat masyarakat Di Malaysia
This article attempts to present the trend among young offenders undergone Community Service Order (CSO) in Malaysia. An archival time series analysis approach was applied to identify the ethnicity, gender, type of crime and the total number of young offenders undergone CSO across Malaysia from 2009 until 2015. Relevant information was gathered after obtaining official statistic from the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia. In sum, a total number of 13,896 cases were reported in six-year duration throughout Malaysia. The highest number of cases were recorded in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (545 cases). Moreover, an overall number of 2,989 young offenders have successfully undergone CSO from 2009 until 2015. The resultant data also indicated that majority of male young offenders undergone CSO are Malays in ethnicity (67.79%) and most of them have involved in property-related crime (47%). As an overall impact, the study provided implications to the concerned parties and key personnel such as welfare officers, criminal justice authorities and policies makers to reinforce the implementation of a community-based approach to recuperate young offenders who have involved in criminal activities
Faktor berisiko yang menyumbang kepada masalah residivisme : satu tinjauan sorotan literature
Recidivism refers to a proportion of offenders who commit repetitive offenses. In general,
recidivism studies are crucial in tracking the outcomes of post-release among individuals who
have committed a crime. Hence, this article is prepared to review the risk factors contributing
to recidivism. All the relevant information related to recidivism was gathered from various
well-established databases such as Elsevier, Sage, and Google Scholar. On the whole, the risk
factors contributing to recidivism include psychopathic personality, employment opportunities,
education level, history of drug abuse, duration of incarceration, acceptance of community
members, and high-risk areas. As an overall impact, this review is expected to provide an in-depth understanding of the key characteristic of repeat offenders thus some effective crime
prevention strategies can be developed in reducing the recidivism rate
