    Effect Of Zeolite Addition In The Diet On Logmann Brown Egg Quality In The Second Production

    Egg shape of second phase production (40- 70 weeks age) of layer bigger than egg shape of one phase production, but egg shell less thickly so than more perishable. On the other side 3.5-4% Ca in the diet only 50% can be absorbed in the intestinal. Ca absorption and Ca retention can be raised by supplementary zeolite in the diet. This experiment was conducted to observe the effect of supplying zeolite in the diet of 192 lohmann brown layer on the egg quality of second phase production. Different feeding treatment was carried out four each group. Layer in treatment 1 were fed control diet; treatment 2, a control diet + zeolite 1.5%; treatment 3, a control diet + zeolite 3%; and treatment 4, a control diet + zeolite 4%. 96 eggs sampel from layer experiment kept on 15 days. The result showed that supplementary zeolite in the diet was significantly ( P ā‰¤ 0.05) increased the thickness of egg shell, significantly (Pā‰¤0.05) decreased of egg weight, significantly (Pā‰¤ 0.05) decreased air cell, significantly (Pā‰¤0.05) increased Haugh Unit (HU) score, and significantly (Pā‰¤ 0.05) decreased pH albumen of egg in the second phase production

    Buah jambu biji mempunyai kandungan vitamin C dan beta karoten yang berkhasiat sebagai antioksidan dan dapat meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh. Salah satu pemanfaatan buah jambu biji adalah dengan mengolahnya menjadi sari buah. Pilot plant UPT. B2PTTG-LIPI Subang merupakan salah satu model pengolahan buah jambu biji menjadi sari buah. Dalam pengoperasiannya dibutuhkan penerapan HACCP untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan keamanan produk sari buah. Oleh karena itu dilakukan kajian HACPP. Kajian HACCP dilakukan menggunakan Panduan Penyusunan Rencana HACCP dengan proses penyusunannya mengikuti 7 prinsip sistem HACCP yang direkomendasikan oleh Standar Nasional Indonesia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa yang ditetapkan sebagai CCP adalah proses sortasi dan pencucian (untuk menghilangkan bahaya pada bahan baku jambu biji), proses sterilisasi dan pengisian merupakan CCPuntuk produk jadi (sari buah jambu biji). Keseluruhan CCP ini harus mendapatkan pengawasan optimal antara lain: penanganan bahan baku, kontrol kebersihan operator, penggunaan air yang sesuai dengan persyaratan, dan memastikan kecukupan panas saat sterilisasi sari buah. Dalam pelaksanaannya, proses veriļ¬ kasi sangat penting untuk dilakukan agar dapat mengetahui efektiļ¬ tas penerapan HACCP.     Faktor-Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Perilaku Pencarian Pelayanan Kesehatan (Health Seeking Behavior) Pada Santri Di Pondok Pesantren Al Bisyri Tinjomoyo Semarang

    Islamic boarding school has a classic problem that students health problems and problems of the disease. A disease that is often suffered by the students at the boarding school, among others, scabies and diarrhea. Poor quality of life of students in boarding school due to students having a simple behavior and lack of facilities in the boarding school, especially health care facilities. This is why the students are less concerned about finding treatment when they feel sick. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors associated with health seeking behavior on students at islamic boarding schools Al Bisyri Tinjomoyo Semarang. This research used analytic survey with cross sectional study. The population of all students of both men and women living in the islamic boarding school Al Bisyri are 73 students and the number of samples taken as many as 73 students using total population method. This study using univariate, bivariate with chi square test and multivariate analysis. The results showed that students who behave good health seeking behavior by 58.9%. Students are early teens (47,9%), female (58,9%), junior high school (80,8%), came from outside the city of Semarang (86,3%) and have lived in the islamic boarding school for 1-3 years (71,2%). Chi-square test results showed that the variables associated with health seeking behavior: access to health care (p-value = 0.032), the perception of pain (p-value = 0.013) and the need for health care (p-value = 0.007). Multivariate analysis showed that students who need health care the larger 4 to 5 times to commit health seeking behavior better than students who do not need health care. From this research, it needs the support of kiai, ustadz and administrator boarding against health seeking behavior students in the form of directives given to the students as a lecture or when students learn in order to change the mindset of students against health seeking behavior
