    Bioclimatics in Architectural Decisions of Residential Buildings of Average Floor

    В данной статье рассмотрена проблема адаптивности жилого здания к окружающей его среде в климатических условиях города Екатеринбурга. Проанализированы факторы, влияющие на формирование архитектурных решений биоклиматических жилых зданий. На основании данного анализа определены основные принципы формирования биоклиматического жилья. А также, на основании научного исследования, приведены предложения по применению некоторых архитектурно-планировочных решений и инновационных технологий в проектировании современного жилья в данных условиях.This article discusses the problem of adaptability of a residential building to its environment in the climatic conditions of the city of Ekaterinburg. The factors influencing the formation of architectural solutions of bioclimatic residential buildings are analyzed. Based on this analysis, the basic principles for the formation of bioclimatic housing have been determined. And also, on the basis of scientific research, there are proposals for the application of some architectural and planning solutions and innovative technologies in the design of modern housing in these conditions

    Gd2O3, SiO2-Gd2O3 and SiO2-MnO2 nanoparticles as potential MRI contrast agents

    Gd2O3, SiO2-Gd2O3 and SiO2-MnO2 nanoparticles were produced by the method of pulsed electron evaporation of oxide targets with condensation of the vapors in a vacuum. These materials are considered as probable contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The Gd2O3 nanoparticles exhibit a rather high r1 and r2 relaxivities. These results point to the potential of using nanocrystals for MRI diagnosis. The mesoporous nanostructures SiO2-Gd2O3 and SiO2-MnO2 could be considered as multimodal theranostic agents. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd

    Competing ideologies of Russia's civil society

    Many analysts and public opinion makers in the West conflate the notions of Russia’s non-systemic liberal opposition and the country’s civil society. Indeed, despite garnering the support of a minority of Russia’s population, non-systemic liberal opposition represents a well-organized civic group with a clearly articulated agenda and the ability to take action. Yet, does Russia’s civil society end there? A closer look at the country’s politics shows that Russia has a substantial conservative-traditionalist faction that has also developed agenda for action and formulated opinions. This group is anti-liberal rather than illiberal ideologically and pro-strong state/pro a geopolitically independent Russia rather than pro-Kremlin politically. The interaction between liberal and conservative civic groups represents the battle of meanings, ideas, and ethics, and ultimately determines the future trajectory of Russia’s evolution. Thus, the analysis of Russia’s civil society must represent a rather more nuanced picture than a mere study of the liberal non-systemic opposition. This article will examine the complexity of Russia’s civil society scene with reference to the interplay between the liberal opposition and conservative majority factions. The paper will argue that such complexity stems from ideological value pluralism that falls far beyond the boundaries of the liberal consensus, often skewing our understanding of political practice in Russia

    Surface defect detection by the local measured magnetic noises

    Continuity defect detection opportunity in ferromagnetic materials was researched by intensity changing of Barkhausen noises locally measured with help of compact transducer. It is shown the scattering fields of surface and internal defects have significantly influence with transducer signal. Obtained results can be used for designing of compact scanning defectoscopes.Исследована возможность обнаружения дефектов сплошности в ферромагнитных объектах по изменению интенсивности магнитных шумов Баркгаузена, локально измеряемых с помощью малогабаритного преобразователя. Показано, что поля рассеяния поверхностных и внутренних дефектов оказывают значительное влияние на сигнал преобразователя. Полученные результаты могут быть использованы для разработки малогабаритных сканирующих дефектоскопов.Работа выполнена по программе “Диагностика” и при поддержке проекта фундаментальных научных исследований УрО РАН № 15-17-2-5
