Exact solutions for a universal set of quantum gates on a family of iso-spectral spin chains

We find exact solutions for a universal set of quantum gates on a scalable candidate for quantum computers, namely an array of two level systems. The gates are constructed by a combination of dynamical and geometrical (non-Abelian) phases. Previously these gates have been constructed mostly on non-scalable systems and by numerical searches among the loops in the manifold of control parameters of the Hamiltonian.Comment: 1 figure, Latex, 8 pages, Accepted for publication in Physical Review

In this research, morphological and histomorphometrical structure of testis of 20 silver male carp fish were studied in two classes or groups. Group1 was composed of 10 fish with average (±SD) weight of 1.247+0.656kg and average(±SD) length of 43.675+1.414cm with about 2 years age, Group2 was composed of 10 fish with average(±SD) weight of 5.716+0.519kg and average(±SD) length of 81.5+1.643cm. Average (±SD) weight of testis were 2.34+1.47gr and 83.33+25.81gr with average (±SD) GSI of 0.187+0.224 and 1.457+4.974 in groups 1 and 2 respectively. Samples from testis were taken by maximum thickness of 0.5cm and after fixation in bouin , s fixative and 5-6µm thickness section were made routine paraffin embedding method and stained by Hematoxylin-Eosin and PAS staining. The microscopic results showed that the silver carp testis was lobular and cystic type in two groups. In group 1, there was no spermatozoon activity and PGCs were only germ cells in the cysts. But in group2, the numbers of PGCs were decreased significantly and spermatogenic cells were seen in different phases including spermatogonia, primary and secondary spermatocysts, early and late spermatid, and spermatozoa which each one was located in a separated cyst. There was no significant difference in nucleus diameter of PGCs in testis of group1 (6.97+0.438µ) and group (6.13+0.438µ). In group2, the nucleolus diameter of spermatogonia was 2.97+0.112µm, primary spermatocyt 3.59+0.107µ, early spermatid 1.59+0.761µ, late spermatid 1.24+0.132µ, spermatozoa 1.16+0.054µ, and the length of spermatozoia 17.412+1.946µ. The interesting finding was immature testis in fish of group 1 with average weigh (1.247+0.656kg) and average length (43.675+1.414cm) in about 2 years age and mature testis in fish of group 2 with average weight of (5.716+0.519kg) and average length of (81.5+1.643cm) with about 4 years age in Khuzestan climate conditions

Seasonal changes of the thyroid gland structure and hormones secretion was examined in yellowfin seabream (Acanthopagrus latus) in the northwest of Persian Gulf (Musa creek). Thyroid gland composed of follicles scattered around the ventral aorta, near the gills. Follicular cells varied according to secretion of the gland during warm and cold seasons. Thyroid hormones (Triidothyronine [T3] and Thyroxine [T4]) were detected in the fish serum in levels ranged from 4.09-1.30 ng/mL for T3 and from 1.10-0.21 ng/mL for (T4) in the warm and cold seasons, respectively. The results showed that the height of thyroid epithelium and plasma concentration of thyroid hormones (thyroid activity) in A. latus increased significantly during spring and summer. The peak of these factors occurred in midsummer (August). Then, the thyroid activity decreased significantly during autumn and early winter from October to December according to decrease of temperature. T3 and T4 increased significantly from January to April

To study viability and activity of isolated common carp, Cyprinus carpio, ovarian follicular cells (granulosa and theca cells), 17-α-Hydroxy progesterone (17α-OHP) and 17β-Estradiol (E2) levels were estimated in the culture media of cultivated carp ovarian follicular cells, using radioimmunoassay (RIA). Oocytes were isolated from the ovaries of female carp. Interstitial tissue was manually removed in order to obtain single oocytes surrounded only by the follicular envelope. Such a preparation was trypsinized at room temperature. Follicular cell suspension contained both cells and cell clumps. It was the mixture of theca (T) and granulosa (G) cells. The cells were grown as monolayer in 24-well microplates in M199 medium supplemented with FBS. Culture media were analyzed for estrogen and progesterone content by appropriate radioimmunoassay. Trypsinization of ovarian follicles resulted in the formation of the cell suspension which contained a mixture of G and T cells. The follicular cells attached to glass and grew well during culture period. E2 was the main steroid hormone secreted by cultivated cells. Estrogen secretion increased by 415.52 ± 25 pg/ml at the first 3 days up to 530.25 ± 55.8 pg/ml on day 5 and it didn't change significantly until the end of the experiment. 17α-OHP secretion, however, gradually increased from 23.84 ± 8.2 pg/ml at the beginning of culture up to 35.76 ± 5.4 pg/ml at the end of cultivating. As the result of the present study the fish follicular cells grown in tissue culture were steroidogenically active cells as expressed by the secretion of E2 and P4 and the E2 was a dominant hormone secreted by isolated follicular cells, which it correlated closely with vitellogenes stage

The objective of this study was to investigate effects of partial replacement of starch with neutral detergent soluble fiber with or without roasted canola seed as a fat source, and possible interactions on apparent digestibility and growth performance of growing lambs. For this purpose, 24 male lambs were used in a completely randomized design with a 2×2 factorial arrangement of treatments. Dietary treatments were 1- starch from barley, 2- starch from barley with roasted canola seed, 3- soluble fiber from beet pulp, and 4- soluble fiber from beet pulp with roasted canola seed. The experimental period was 84 days and forage:concentrate ratio was 10:90 for all diets. Treatments had no significant effect on the dry matter intake, feed conversion ratio, apparent digestibility of protein and organic matter (p>0.05). High starch diets compared with high soluble fiber diets caused a significant decrease in the digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, ADF and NDF (p<0.01). Canola seed addition to the diets significantly decreased ADF and NDF digestibility (p<0.01). The carbohydrate source by canola seed interaction was significant for weight gain and rumen pH (p<0.01) indicating that addition of canola seed to high starch diet increased weight gain and rumen pH more dramatically in comparison with soluble fiber diet (p<0.01). It is concluded that addition of canola seed to high starch diet had favorable effects on growth performance and rumen pH but because of its negative effect on fiber digestibility and its different response depend on carbohydrate source, more research is needed for conclusion

On the role of anaxonic local neurons in the crossover to continuously varying exponents for avalanche activity

Local anaxonic neurons with graded potential release are important ingredients of nervous systems, present in the olfactory bulb system of mammalians, in the human visual system, as well as in arthropods and nematodes. We develop a neuronal network model including both axonic and anaxonic neurons and monitor the activity tuned by the following parameters: The decay length of the graded potential in local neurons, the fraction of local neurons, the largest eigenvalue of the adjacency matrix and the range of connections of the local neurons. Tuning the fraction of local neurons, we derive the phase diagram including two transition lines: A critical line separating subcritical and supercritical regions, characterized by power law distributions of avalanche sizes and durations, and a bifurcation line. We find that the overall behavior of the system is controlled by a parameter tuning the relevance of local neuron transmission with respect to the axonal one. The statistical properties of spontaneous activity are affected by local neurons at large fractions and in the condition that the graded potential transmission dominates the axonal one. In this case the scaling properties of spontaneous activity exhibit continuously varying exponents, rather than the mean field branching model universality class

Concepts and Dimensions in Continuous Midwifery Care Models Based on the Experiences and Expectations of Stakeholders: A Meta-Synthesis

Context: Pregnant women’s have access to different models of care especially to those who provide continuous care and this is one of the recommendations of the world health organization (WHO) for promoting maternal health. Moreover, to provide adequate services in care models, the experiences and perceptions of mothers, providers of prenatal care, and other stakeholders should be taken into consideration. Objectives: A systematic meta-synthesis was carried out to inquire into the findings of some qualitative studies aimed to explore the concept and dimensions of continuous midwifery care including experiences, perspectives and perceptions of engaged people. Data Sources: This study was the first step of an action research designed to develop a midwifery model of care. Qualitative research articles published between 2005 and 2015 on experiences, attitudes, expectations and opinions of stakeholders in models of midwifery care were collected from Google scholar, Elsevier, and PubMed databases. Study Selection: Following the various stages of the scrutiny of the abstracts and contents of the collected articles, five faculty members finally selected 21 qualitative research articles as eligible for inclusion in the meta-synthesis. Results: The findings of meta-synthesis showed that continuous midwifery care for pregnantwomenas a highly important process revolves around at least five basic themes: continuity of care, compliance with needs satisfaction levels, regulation of care environment, and the philosophy of providing continuous care. Conclusions: Given the importance of access to healthcare as a right for pregnant women and given the key role of continuous midwifery care in health promotion and maternal satisfaction, it is suggested based on the results of the study that rigorous local and national research in this area to be carried out so that adequate models of continuous midwifery care can be designed and implemented based on the findings
