    Gallicisms in the Russian language: Theory and practice of language contact study

    © Medwell Journals, 2016.The present study deals with studies and analyzes the lexical innovations of French origin in the Russian language on materials of fiction, opinion journalism as well as etymological, defining and foreign dictionaries under well-defined criteria of foreign word extraction. Various investigations dedicated to the study of language contacts offer variety of criteria describing the functioning of foreign vocabulary in the Russian lexical system as the result of interaction of various manifestation of language contacts. On the basis of analysis of different approaches to the assimilation typologies and considering also numerous general and specific characteristics of lexical neologisms assimilation in modern Russian (graphic-phonetic, morphological and semantic), the authors offer a clear and complete image of current trends the reception and adaptation of foreign language vocabulary of French origin in the Russian language of the recent period, describing its basic laws and models as well as the types of possible deviations at all language levels

    Screening of cucumber varieties and hybrids for selection of downy mildew resistance sources

    Cucumber downy mildew (causative agent – Pseudoperonospora cubensis Rostowz) is one of the most harmful diseases of cucumbers in Kazakhstan. High variability of the fungus leading to the emergence of new aggressive pathotypes and consequently to loss of resistance by some crop cultivars causes ever-growing harmfulness of P. cubensis. The goal of the research is to carry out immunological evaluation of cucumber varieties and hybrids from 18 countries to Kazakhstanean population of the fungus and to assess their resistance against the background of artificial inoculation as well as to find stable sources of crop resistance to the disease. Eighty cucumber cultivars from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, India, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Moldova, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, France, Israel, China, Taiwan and South Korea were tested for their resistance to the downy mildew in the field. Synthetic population of the cucumber downy mildew agent was used for inoculation. The studies in 2015–2016 resulted in the detection of 29 (36.2 %) cucumber varieties and hybrids that demonstrated a high rate of field resistance to the pathogen. Nine (11.2 %) varieties and hybrids appeared to be resistant, three (3.8 %) were moderately resistant, three (3.8 %) were susceptible, and 36 (45.0 %) cultivars of different origin appeared to be highly susceptible. Resistant cultivars were rather frequent among materials from Kazakhstan and Netherlands. Adoption and cultivation of resistant cucumber varieties will allow reducing application of chemical protection means, producing ecologically safe farm produce and avoiding pollution of ecosystems

    In this paper we describe the process of creating software for R.Barro economic model. The goal of the paper is the analysis of existing languages and platforms and selections of them as means for developing advanced software for modeling economic processes, and also the construction of algorithms and programs using traditional and modern methods of software development. Prototyping was selected as an approach for the development, it allows us to obtain in a short time the product, which is available for testing and further improvement in order to meet the requirements. The paper describes the version of the program that meets the recommended requirements, shows the schematic diagram of this program and describes its main functions

    Chediak-Higashi syndrome is a rare immunodeficiency condition with generalized cellular dysfunction, with an autosomal recessive type of inheritance. Mostly young children suffer, death caused by infections or malignant neoplasms often occurs before they reach the age of 10 years. We describe a case of infectious mononucleosis caused by Epstein-Barr virus in a 3-year—old boy against the background of a rare hereditary Chediak-Higashi syndrome with the development of hemophagocytic syndrome.Синдром Чедиака-Хигаси — редкое иммунодефицитное состояние с генерализованной клеточной дисфункцией, с аутосомно-рецессивным типом наследования. Страдают в основном дети раннего возраста. Смерть, причиной которой становятся инфекции или злокачественные новообразования, часто наступает до достижения ими возраста 10 лет. Мы описываем случай течения инфекционного мононуклеоза, вызванного вирусом Эпштейна-Барр у мальчика 3-х лет на фоне редкого наследственного синдрома Чедиака-Хигаси с развитием гемофагоцитарного синдрома
