    The Oxford Handbook of Compounding surveys a variety of theoretical and descriptive issues, presenting overviews of compounding in a number of frameworks and sketches of compounding in a number of languages. Much of the book deals with Germanic nounā€“noun compounding. I take up some of the theoretical questions raised surrounding such constructions, in particular, the notion of attributive modification in noun-headed compounds. I focus on two issues. The first is the semantic relation between the head noun and its nominal modifier. Several authors repeat the argument that there is a small(-ish) fixed number of general semantic relations in nounā€“noun compounds (ā€˜Lees's solutionā€™), but I argue that the correct way to look at such compounds is what I call ā€˜Downing's solutionā€™, in which we assume that the relation is specified pragmatically, and hence could be any relation at all. The second issue is the way that adjectives modify nouns inside compounds. Although there are languages in which compounded adjectives modify just as they do in phrases (Chukchee, Arleplog Swedish), in general the adjective has a classifier role and not that of a compositional attributive modifier. The authors analyzed the nature and content of the competitive educational services offered criteria for the competitiveness of educational institutions in terms of the value-oriented approach. The authors examined the effect of the institutional environment of education at institute of education and justify the link between the institutional environment of education and competitiveness of educational institutions and educational services. Improving the Russian education system, the institutional environment of education and competitiveness of educational services of Russian universities is only possible on the basis of a deep and comprehensive study of the described relationship

Question of the research: how to develop the small motor development of children 3-4 years old? The methods used in the study are literature analysis, pedagogical observation and pedagogical trial activity. The first part of the work analyzes the peculiarities of the upbringing and development, the possibilities of promoting the development of small finger muscles and the involvement of games in the study process of children 3-4 years old. The second part of qualification work contains of tasks and criteria for the development of children's small finger muscles made by author. The approbation of tasks is described and the obtained results are analyzed. The qualification paper is devised on 54 pages, with included 18 images, 8 tables, in work is used 21 books and internet sources. Darba mērÄ·is bija raksturot mÄ«ksto plānveida nomaiņu kontaktlēcu gaismas izkliedi, kad kontaktlēcas ir jaunas un pie kontaktlēcu termiņa beigām. PētÄ«jumā piedalÄ«jās 20 dalÄ«bnieki. Tika noteikts acÄ« noklÄ«duŔās gaismas daudzuma atŔķirÄ«bas jaunajām un lietotām kontaktlēcām. Kā arÄ« papildus tika salÄ«dzināts kontaktlēcu Lotrafilcon B un Comfilcon A materiālu atŔķirÄ«ba. IegÅ«tie rezultāti bija bÅ«tiski atŔķirÄ«gi jauno un lietoto kontaktlēcu gadÄ«jumā, tomēr abu atŔķirÄ«go kontaktlēcu materiālu vērtÄ«bas nebija ietekmējoÅ”ie faktori acÄ« noklÄ«duŔās gaismas daudzumam.Master's thesis has been written in Latvian on 43 pages. The purpose of thesis was to characterise light refraction of soft monthly contact lenses when contact lenses are new and at the end of their lifespan. 20 participants took part in the study. The difference of the amount of stray light was determined in new and old contact lens. Additionally, the differences between materials Lotrafilcon B and Comfilcon A. The obtained results were significantly different in new and old contact lenses, but the differences in material properties and the power of contact lenses were determined not to be a consequential factor in the amount of stray light

Balstoties uz maÄ£istra darba ietvaros apkopoto informāciju autore sniegusi savu vērtējumu telpiskās attÄ«stÄ«bas plānoÅ”anas izglÄ«tÄ«bas sistēmas uzlaboÅ”anai Latvijā.In this Master's thesis, the author has been reviewed an existing spatial planning process in Latvia. In this thesis author has analysed international experience in education of spatial planning and its system Latvia. Evaluated and analysed opinions of graduates about the contribution of education to the labour market, as well as evaluated and analysed employers views on the existing spatial planning educational system in Latvia. Based on the information collected in this master's thesis, the author has provided its own assessment for improvement of educational system of spatial development planning in Latvia

    Brightness perception for the volumetric display

    Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstÄ«ts latvieÅ”u valodā uz 32 lappusēm. Tas satur 9 attēlus, 3 tabulas, 51 atsauci uz literatÅ«ras avotiem. Darba mērÄ·is bija raksturot gaiÅ”uma uztveri redzes stimuliem uz dažādām volumetriskā ekrāna plaknēm. PētÄ«jumā piedalÄ«jās 15 dalÄ«bnieki vecumā no 20 lÄ«dz 25 gadiem. Redzes stimuli tika demonstrēti uz diviem ekrāniem ā€“ volumetriskā ekrāna un Ŕķidro kristālu ekrāna. Psihofizikālā testa laikā tika noteikta vismazākā atŔķirÄ«ba abu redzes stimulu gaismas intensitātē, pie kuras dalÄ«bnieki uzskatÄ«ja stimulus par vienādi gaiÅ”iem uz abiem ekrāniem. IegÅ«tie rezultāti bÅ«tiski atŔķīrās indivÄ«du starpā, tomēr vidējās gaiÅ”uma uztveres sliekŔņa vērtÄ«bas nebija atŔķirÄ«gas, kad vienāda spožuma redzes stimuli bija demonstrēti uz dažādām volumetriskā ekrāna plaknēm.Bachelor's thesis has been written in Latvian on 32 pages. It contains 9 pictures, 3 tables and 51 references to literature sources. The purpose of the thesis was to characterize the light perception of achromatic impulses on different planes of volumetric screen. 15 participants took part in the experiment, their ages ranged from 20 to 25 years old. Visual stimuli were presented on two displays ā€“ the volumetric display and the liquid crystal display. During the psychophysical test, the minimal difference between brightness of visual stimuli, which participants recognized as equally bright on both displays, was determined. The obtained results showed that the threshold differed significantly among individuals. However, the average threshold of brightness perception did not differ when the equal luminance visual stimuli were demonstrated on different planes of volumetric display

IedzÄ«votāju Ä£eogrāfiskā mobilitāte ir iedzÄ«votāju pārvietoÅ”anās telpā un laikā. Mobilitāte ir viens no faktoriem, kas raksturo teritorijas attÄ«stÄ«bu un labklājÄ«bas lÄ«meni. Bakalaura darbā tiek aplÅ«kota Olaines novada iedzÄ«votāju Ä£eogrāfiskā mobilitāte un tās formas ā€“ migrācija un svārstmigrācija. Darba mērÄ·is ir izvērtēt svārstmigrāciju un tās ietekmi Olaines novadā. Geographic mobility of population is the movement of residents in space and time. Mobility is one of the factors that characterize the development of territory and prosperity. In this Bachelor work are examined Olaine district population geographical mobility and its forms - migration and commuting. The aim of this work is to evaluate commuting and its impact in Olaine district. Bachelor's work used a varied range of sources, including literature, scientific literature on mobility and its forms, Olaine municipality, the Central Statistical Bureau data on the socio-economic processes in Olaine district, and by author created poll results. The work consists of introduction, materials and methods, 4 chapters, conclusions, bibliography and appendices.
