Pengaruh Suplementasi Hidrolisat Bulu Ayam dan Mineral Organik terhadap Kecernaan Zat Makanan, Pertambahan Bobot Badan, dan Efisiensi Ransum Kambing Peranakan Etawah Jantan
The objective of research were to evaluate the effect of supplementation of hydrolyzed of feather meal, organic macro mineral (Ca and Mg-Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid /PUFA) and organic micro mineral (Zn, Cu, Cr, and Se-lysinat) to improve nutrient digestibility, daily gain and rations efficiency of male Etawah cross goats. The research were used 20 male Etawah cross goats. Random block design were used this research was used, with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were arranged : R0= 40 % of forage + 60% concentrates; R1= R0 + 3% of hydrolyzed of feather meal ; R2= R1 + organic macro mineral (Ca and Mg -PUFA); R3 = R2+ organic micro mineral (Zn,Cu, Cr, and Se-lysinat). The results showed that mixing treatment of hydrolyzed feathers meal, organic macro and micro mineral (Ca and Mg-Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid /PUFA and Zn, Cu, Cr, and Se-lysinat)/R3 had significantly effect of increasing organic digestibility, digestible energy, daily gain and rations efficiency of male Etawah cross goats
Organoleptik Wafer dengan Berbagai Komposisi Limbah Pertanian di Desa Bandar Baru Kecamatan Sukau Kabupaten Lampung Barat
The purpose of this study was to determine texture, color, aroma, and palatability wafers with various agricultural waste compotition. The experimental design used in this research is completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and four replications. Wafer agricultural waste consists of three treatments and four replications, namely A: sweet potato 8% + potato 3% + cauliflower leaf chicory 5% + China cabbage 10%+ carrots 50% +labusiam 5% + tomato 15.99% + molasses 3 % + salt 0.01%; B: sweet potato 15% + potato 5% + leaf cauliflower chicory 10% + China cabbage 15% + carrot 40% + labusiam 6% + tomato 5.99% + molasses 3% + salt 0.01%; C: sweet potato 20% + potato 7% + cauliflower leaf chicory 15% + China cabbage 20% + carrot 23% +labusiam 8% + tomato 3.99% + molasses 3% + salt 0.01%. The results of this study indicate that the wafer with a variety of agricultural waste composition was highly significant (P <0.01) on the color and texture of the resulting wafer, wafer agricultural waste significant (P <0.05) on the scent wafers produced. Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Limbah Agroindustri Sebagai Pakan Ternak Melalui Suplementasi Kalsium Dan Magnesium Organik : Pengaruhnya Terhadap Vfa Dan Amonia Cairan Rumen
This research aimed to determine the effects of Ca and Mg organic supplementation in agroindustrialby products based diets on VFA and Ammonia (NH3) concentration in goat rumen fluid.The research was conducted in October 2012 in the pen of Department of Animal Husbandry,Agriculture Faculty University of Lampung. Analysis of feed and rumen fluid samples performedat the Laboratory of Nutrition and Feed Science, Department of Animal Husbandry. This studyused a randomized block design which is consist of three treatments and three replications. Bodyweight as replicates and treatments used are R0 = Basal Rations (100%), R1 = Basal Rations(99,46%) + Ca Organic 0.50% + Mg Organic 0.04%, R2 = Basal Ration (98,92%) + Ca Organic1.00% + Mg Organic 0.08%. Analysis of variance is used to determine the effect of treatment,followed by least significant test at 5% significance level and or 1%. The results of this studyindicate that supplementation of organic minerals Ca and Mg was not significantly (P> 0.05) affectthe VFA and Ammonia (NH3) of goat rumen fluid
Potensi Pengembangan Peternakan Sapi Potong di Kecamatan Tanjung Bintang Kabupaten Lampung Selatan
This study was conducted in February 2015 at Tanjung Bintang District South Lampung Regency. This study aimed to determine development of beef cattle potency by environment, natural resources, human resources, technology, and formulate strategies development of beef cattle to apply in Tanjung Bintang District. Interview farmer as much as 50 people from five village: Jati Baru, Jati Indah, Budilestari, Srikaton and Trimulyo. This study used survey method and than descriptive and SWOT analysis. The result of this study showed that Tanjung Bintang District have good environment potency and natural resources but has the human resources potency and input technology adverse in development of beef cattle. Alternative strategy can be implemented in Tanjung Bintang District is improving farmer knowledge in beef cattle farming specially innovative feed processing technology input through counseling and training feed processing and capital aid to increase business of beff cattle
Pengaruh Penambahan Berbagai Jenis Sumber Karbohidrat pada Silase Limbah Sayuran terhadap Kualitas Fisik dan Tingkat Palatabilitas Silase
Vegetable waste in the traditional market can be used as feed. Nevertheless, the shortcomings from vegetable waste is have a high level of water content. Vegetables waste can be processed to be silage with addition accelerators that is rice brain, cassava flour, molasses. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of several sources of carbohydrate of the physical quality of silage and silage palatability level vegetable waste, knowing the source of carbohydrate that have the best effect on the physical quality and level of palatability of silage vegetable waste. This research is completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatment additional source of carbohydrates (rice bran, cassava flour, molasses and silage without the addition of accelerator) and 3 repetitions. Data was analyzed by Analysis of Varians and continued with Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) 0,01 or 0,05. The results showed the addition of various sources of carbohydrate significantly (P <0.05) on the texture and highly significant (P <0.01) on the color and flavour of vegetable waste silage. Treatment with the addition of cassava flour is the best treatment that affects texture and color silage, Whereas treatment with the addition of molasses is the best treatment that affects the flavour and palatability of silage
Pengaruh Penambahan Berbagai Starter pada Pembuatan Silase Ransum terhadap Kadar Serat Kasar, Lemak Kasar, Kadar Air, dan Bahan Ekstrak tanpa Nitrogen Silase
The aim of this research are to find: 1) the effects of addition of various kind levels of starter to crude fiber, crude fat, moisture content, extract material without nitrogen, in silage feed, 2) one of the best starter in increasing the nutrient content in silage feed. The research was conducted in December 2014 – Februari 2015 at Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung and in the Laboratory of Nutrition and Feed Livestock, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The number of microbes was analyzed in Balai Veteriner Lampung. The method in this research used completely randomized design. The treatments was consisted of basal ration (R0), basal diet + stater EM4 (R1), basal diet + EM4 starter culture (R2), and the basal diet + starter rumen fluid (R3). The results showed that the addition of various kind levels of starter indicated significant effect (P0.05) to crude fiber and BETN of silage.
