    WHY DO ENTREPRENEURS LEAVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP? EXPLORATORY STUDY FROM LAHORE, PAKISTAN

    The purpose of this study was to find out the factors that are responsible for entrepreneurs to quit entrepreneurship and join the job industry. This qualitative study was designed to fulfill the objectives via interviewing ex-entrepreneurs and getting first-hand information from business owners themselves who had faced the problem in their business tenure. Interviewing the respondents brought out a number of factors that had ultimately forced them to wind up their businesses. These factors were then carved out broadly categorized as internal or external factors which led to either managerial or financial reasons. Conducting this research was a tedious task as people are not willing to share their previous or unpleasant memories furthermore.  They were hesitant to share a part of their personal life experience. Due to limited resources and time the research was conducted in the city of Lahore which and therefore limited in its scope. Nevertheless, this study has produced credible information which can be useful for future entrepreneurs.     MEASURING THE PERCEIVED EFFECTIVENESS OF ONLINE RECRUITMENT SYSTEM

    This research aimed to examine the perceptions regarding the effectiveness of online recruitment in Pakistan by using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Mixed-method research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative analyses. 30 HR mangers were interviewed and 170 HR personnel provided data via questionnaires. For qualitative data analysis Gioia, Corley, and Hamilton (2013) methodology was used, while quantitative data was analyzed using multiple regression. The results revealed that online recruitment facilitates organizations in terms of reaching wider applicants with less expenses and time consumption. Most importantly, HR managers and team members’ behavioral intentions are affected by key factors, including usefulness, technology self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, and attitude towards using websites.&nbsp

    Exploring Knowledge Acquisition and Sharing Strategies: A Qualitative Study from Pakistan Football Industry

    Purpose: This study has explored the knowledge acquisition and sharing processes operative in the football industry of Sialkot, Pakistan. This study has focused on how these firms could adopt new means of technologically advanced football processes. Knowledge acquisition, dissemination, and conversion have remained unexplored in the football production processes. Study design: The qualitative research methodology was used, and the grounded theory approach was applied. Using semi-structured interviews, data were collected from 15 informants, including CEOs, managers, and owners. Purposive sampling was used to select the informants. This was a cross-sectional study with an inductive approach. Gioia (2013) methodology was used to analyze the data in grounded theory. Findings: Data structure developed from the interviews produced three aggregate dimensions, namely strategic position, knowledge acquisition & strategic fit, and knowledge sharing. Data analysis reveals that football producing firms have invented state of the art technology and upgraded their operations according to the changing production requirements. These firms have earned a competitive advantage based on their dynamic capabilities, research & development, innovation and rich history of football production
