In our prevalent and deprived agrarian sector, sufficient credit provision is a serious problem to implant technological advancements and achieve technical efficiency, moreover to hire efficient inputs to improve and rise agriculture output/income collectively and alleviate poverty eventually. In the middle of embroiled informal credit sector and recent increase in banking services in last decade shrink the attention to intend the formal sector’s optimum potential. In this perspective, this study is going to explore the relationship of agriculture credit on agriculture output. We analyzes the role of institutional credit on agricultural production using the time series data for the period of 1970 to 2008 and to give suggestions and recommendations about the promotion of institutional credit in agriculture sector of Pakistan. Cobb-Douglas production function is estimated using simple OLS, and all the variables are transformed to per cultivated hectare. Results show that agricultural credit, availability of water, cropping intensity and agricultural labor force has significant positive impact on agricultural production. The study recommend that institutional credit should be provided by the concerned organizations in order to boost agricultural output. The credit provision should be made to ensure the contribution of agriculture sector in economic development of the economy. Keywords: Agricultural Production, Institutional credit, Pakista

Measuring the Impact of Total Revenue, Total Labor Force and Oil Prices on Economic Growth of Pakistan

    Get PDF
This study establishes the empirical relationship between GDP and total revenue, total labor force and oil prices. Numerous studies concluded profound impact of these variables on GDP of Pakistan as well as other economies. In this study, all the sources of revenue generating including tax and non-tax revenue and financial aid and grants are included. In total labor force, both male and female labor force are included. The impact of oil prices on GDP is also included in the model. This study is conducted to measure the impact and significance of these variables on GDP of Pakistan for years 1970-2012 using time-series data. Regression analysis results shows significant concluded coefficients. Unit root test verified the stationarity of the data. The results of co-integration test show long run association between the GDP and the independent variables. The empirical results conclude positive impact of total revenue, total labor force and negative impact of oil prices on GDP of Pakistan

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TYPES OF REWARDS AND JOB SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYEES: EVIDENCE FROM KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWAH

The main objectives of this research study were to gauge theprevailing level of job satisfaction amongst employees. Furthermore to find an association among the levels of rewards (task significance, task involvement, task autonomy, organizational rewards, social rewards) and job satisfaction of employee’s doing jobs in private sector organizations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwah. 240 employees of five private sector universities and eight private sector banks participated in this study. A Cronbach’s Alpha, Multiple Regression and Pearson Correlation are used to test the proposed hypothesis. The findings reveal that there exists significant and positiveassociation between job satisfaction and rewards (task involvement, task autonomy and task significance). The results show that job satisfaction is insignificantly associated with organizational rewards and social rewards. The findings of this research and their implication for future research are also discussed

Impact of Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction in Higher Education Institutions

Relationships have diverse categories and have different significances and implications. Among different connections existing in this word, there is a very influencing connection that survives between a SURVQUAL model and its importance in service providing sector. This study is carried out on nearly 200 students of Gomal University DIKhan of Pakistan to find out Impact of service quality on customer satisfaction in education sector. We have two variables in this research dependent and independent in dependent there is the customer satisfaction while in independent there is responsiveness, reliability, assurance, Empathy, tangibility The Pearson correlation and regression was applied on data, and results exposed a positive and a significant relationship between the variables. This study found is significant relationship between the tangibility and assurance as the sample population of the study considers them important for improvement of service quality in universities. Hence, it is not only the bookish knowledge to which the students of the education institutions pay attention, rather there are also other factors on which student take more care before making a decision for enrolment in any university

Congenital prepubic sinus: An aborted dorsal urethral duplication or a cloacal remnant?

Background: Congenital Prepubic Sinus (CPS) is an uncommon urogenital anomaly characterized by a blind tract between the skin over the pubis to anterior of the urinary bladder, Urethra or umbilicus. We report four such cases to emphasize varied clinical presentation and embryological conundrum. Methods: Following Ethical Review Committee (ERC) approval, medical records of pediatric patients (\u3c16 \u3eyears) presenting with CPS (identified through operating room records and Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) between 1994 and 2018 were reviewed for demographics, clinical presentation, investigations including histopathology, management and outcome. Results: Four cases of CPS, 3 females and 1 male, age range 9 months to 13 years were managed over 25-years. Clinical presentation includes a discharging sinus and recurrent episodes of cellulitis and abscess formation in pubic area and labia majora. Urological investigations were mostly normal. Insertion of lacrimal probe or plastic sheath of intravenous cannula through the sinus opening was useful to determine the course of sinus and aid its excision. Histology of excised sinus highlights the possible embryological origin. Concluions: CPS is a rare anomaly with varied clinical presentation. It seems CPS is an aborted urethral duplication (Stephen Type 3) or a Cloacal remnant. Complete excision of the tract in the reported cases was curative

Isolated ligamentum flavum ossification in primary hypoparathyroidism

    Get PDF
Basckground: The ligamenta flava can undergo ossification and calcification resulting in myelopathy. Only seven cases of ligamentumflavum ossification in association with hypoparathyroidism have been reported, most of which had concurrent osseous changes in other spinal ligaments. Here, we report a patient with hypoparathyroidism who presented ith ligamentum flavum ossification causing both cervical and thoracic myelopathy. Case description: A 43-year-old male presented with backache, urinary retention, and lower limb weakness for the last few days. Magnetic resonance imaging scan showed ossification of the ligamentum flavum in the cervical and thoracic regions, with severe spinal stenosis. Following spinal decompressive surgery, the patient made a complete recovery. Primary hypoparathyroidism was found to be the underlying cause for ligamentum flavum ossification. Conclusion: Ossification of ligamentum flavum secondary to hypoparathyroidism should be considered as a possible cause of myelopathy in all patients presenting with symptoms of spinal cord compression
