Decision Making is the most important element for every organization. It can raise a firm to the market leader or can fall a market leader to disappear.  Therefore it is important to know, what factors have strong influence over decision making. This paper finds out the factors which have a great impact over the suitability of decision making. These are individual experience, intelligence, information availability and organizational capabilities. The research is based on questionnaire survey from telecommunication organization in Pakistan. The data was analyzed through SPSS tools for getting results. Broad recommendations are made decision making. The research is equally applicable to all type of organizations irrespective of their type and products. Keywords: Intelligence (I), Individual Experience (IE), Availability of Information (AOI), Organizational Capabilities, Decision Making (DM) and Strategically Suitable Decision making (SSDM)

Security of Information plays an important role in the progress of any organization. This research finds out that Information Security can be achieved through proper Knowledge Management in organizations especially in Telecommunication Sector. Not only the literature supports the theme of the research but it was also proved by the analysis and results of the respondents responses. Knowledge Management was found to have positive and significant influence over Security of Information. A framework was also developed for studying the relationship among Knowledge Management, Security of Information, Information Governance, Information Risk Management and Safety to Organizational Knowledge; which was tested through correlation and regression. Though the research was carried out in Telecommunication Sector organizations, yet it is equally valuable for and implementable in any other sector. Keywords: Knowledge Management (KM), Information Governance (IG), Information Risk Management (IRM), Safety to Organizational Knowledge (SOK)

The aim of this research is to find out the relationship of Project Scope, Top Management Support, Skilled and Competent Project Team and Project Manager’s Leadership Qualities with Information Technologies Projects. It is widely reported from IT industry that many IT projects fail, this research is going to find out the elements which might be responsible for the failure. The research is based on empirical survey, based on questionnaire. The result shows that there are no relationships between Top Management Support with Information Technologies Projects. All of the other variables have significant relationships with IT Projects. The research results can be used by IT sector organizations and by management in order to decrease the chances of IT projects failure. Keywords: Project Scope (PS), Top Management Support (TMS), Skilled & Competent Project Team (SCPT), Project Manager’s Leadership Qualities (PMLQ) and Information Technologies Projects (ITP)

Impact of Risk and Ethics on Adoption of Mobile Banking in Pakistan

Mobile banking is information based one of the newly introduced digital banking services in Pakistan. The objective of this research was to analyze the impact of risk and ethics on consumer behavior towards adoption of mobile banking in Pakistan. This research was totally based on primary data, which was collected during the field survey through questionnaire from 500 students of private and public universities of Pothohar region (District Islamabad/Rawalpindi). The correlation and regression analysis was calculated by using SPSS software. The correlation results showed that there is insignificant relationship with Ethic, and significant relationship was found with Risk. The regression results showed thatR square = 0.621, which stated that the independent variables (Risk and ethis) have 62%  effect on dependent variable Mobile banking adoption and the model can predict the research results. So, ethic is main hurdle for mobile banking adoption. The findings are helpful for managers to reorganize their business plans to capture maximum latentbusinesses. This research is undertaken to address the critical issue of the high failure rate in IT Projects. The study is focused on the IT Projects in the Telecom Sector. The main reasons for the failure of the IT Projects are studied and then the corresponding success factors analyzed. After in depth study and analysis certain Critical Success Factors for the success of IT Projects in the Telecom Sector are proposed. A theoretical framework model has been developed to test the effect of the various variables on the successful completion of IT Projects in the Telecom Industry. The results and findings from the research will greatly benefit the Telecom industry in successfully completing their IT Projects and deploying their IT infrastructure. Performance Evaluation of Real Time Traffic in LTE Networks

    Get PDF
Long-Term Evolution, commonly known as 4G LTE, is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals. TCP protocol plays a significant role in LTE network. Congestion control algorithm is an integral module of TCP that directly determines the performance of the protocol in IP Network. Many TCP variants like TCP-Vegas, TCP-Tahoe, TCP-Reno, TCP-NewReno, TCP-SACK, and TCP-FACK have been proposed for high bandwidth real time services in LTE network [1]. These TCP variants can be used to improve quality of service parameters i.e., throughput, average delay and lost packet in LTE network [2]. Since LTE systems has high-data-rate, low-latency and packet-optimized radio access technology therefore these parameters directly affect the traffic. In this paper, complete LTE Network is simulated using the OPNET simulator to evaluate network performance in real time [3]. The simulated LTE network is tested for each type of TCP protocol and the result is monitored for throughput, end to end delay, http and FTP traffic, re-transmission response time and packets drop etc and the results are plotted. At the end, it is concluded that TCP New Reno has outperformed in terms of throughput, re-transmission rate and http uplink and downlink traffic. In medium size network, the performance of Reno is satisfactory. Similarly changes in mobility rate enhance the performance of TCP Reno in other congestion control algorithms. On the other hand, TCP Cubic is found to be the worst performer for throughput, re-transmission rate and http traffic parameters. Keywords: LTE, QoS, EUTRAN, TCP, http, Opne

Increasing Performance through Assessed Training (A Human Recourse Management Strategy)

This research finds out the way of increasing employee’s performance through training. There are many organizations which give their workers training but do not get any enhancement in their performance. Performances of a worker are directly correlated with his/her capabilities and know how to do the job. This study develops a strategy for improving the capabilities of workers which leads to increase their performance. The research proposes that just after an organization want to increase the performance of its workers, it must find out the area where they have weaknesses. After finding out the weaknesses, organizations have to assess how that weakness should be made solved. In the third stage they have to give specific training their weaknesses. This will enhance the capabilities of workers and their performance will be increased. Keywords: Weakness, Weakness needs Assessments, Training and Performanc

Leading Edge or Bleeding Edge: Designing a Framework for the Adoption of AI Technology in an Educational Organization

    No full text
Adopting Artificial Intelligent Technology in an Educational Organization is often problematic due to many internal and external environmental reasons, and often fails to attain the desired goals. This study aims to design a framework for adopting AI technology in the education sector. Most of the research focuses on the acceptance of a particular technology and ignores the study of what else is needed for a technology acceptance. The framework in this study provides a step-by-step process of the Technological Transformation of an organization never designed before. We recommend that before making any technological changes in an organization, generally and in the educational organization particularly, the processes must be followed for the successful and meaningful adoption of AI technology
