    Bumiaji region is well-known as it becomes the tourist destination area in Batu City. This area is largely covered by its constant (even below) 20oC temperature along the year in which makes it as the best place to plant horticultural plantation such as Crystal Guava. This plantation is done through careful treatment in applying both organic and inorganic fertilizer and the abundant dose of pesticide continually. These efforts, however, yield some drawbacks to the environment, especially for the soil itself. Thus, this study was aimed for discovering the amount of the heavy metal contained in the soil and Crystal Guava. This study used descriptive analytic method along with using Spectophotometer for testing the heavy metal. The elements of three heavy metal Fe, Cd, Cu in the soil concentration in 30 - 60 cm soil depth were higher than in 0 – 30 cm soil depth. The third content of heavy metals in the soil is included in the high category so that it is harmful to the environment and plants. The heavy metal content of Fe, Cd, Cu in the crystal varieties of guajava fruit in plants aged 5, 6 and 11 years has the results of heavy metal analysis that has exceeded the normal threshold of pollution guidelines

    Kentang merupakan salah satu sayuran yang memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap total produksi sayuran di Indonesia. Kendala yang menyebabkan kurang berhasilnya usaha petani kentang salah satunya adalah serangan penyakit layu bakteri. Sehingga perlu pengendalian dengan penggunaan agen hayati Trichoderma koningii. Trichoderma koningii mampu mengeluarkan senyawa kimia tertentu seperti antibiotik, toksin yang dapat menonaktifkan sekaligus mematikan mikroba patogen sehingga dapat mengurangi serangan bakteri. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari teknik aplikasi Trichoderma koningii dalam pengendalian penyakit Ralstonia solanacearum sehingga mampu menunjang pertumbuhan dari kentang.     Kentang merupakan salah satu sayuran yang memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap total produksi sayuran di Indonesia. Kendala yang menyebabkan kurang berhasilnya usaha petani kentang salah satunya adalah serangan penyakit layu bakteri. Sehingga perlu pengendalian dengan penggunaan agen hayati Trichoderma koningii. Trichoderma koningii mampu mengeluarkan senyawa kimia tertentu seperti antibiotik, toksin yang dapat menonaktifkan sekaligus mematikan mikroba patogen sehingga dapat mengurangi serangan bakteri. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari teknik aplikasi Trichoderma koningii dalam pengendalian penyakit Ralstonia solanacearum sehingga mampu menunjang pertumbuhan dari kentang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Screen House, Kabupaten Malang. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian ini yaitu Februari-Mei 2018. Metode penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan RAK dengan 10 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. P0= kontrol, P1= 1 mst dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii cair 5 ml.l-1, P2= 1 mst dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii serbuk 5 g polibag-1. P3= 1 mst dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii cair 10 ml.l-1, P4= 1 mst dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii serbuk 10 g polibag-1. P5= pada saat tanam dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii 5 ml.l-1. P6= pada saat tanam dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii serbuk 5 g polibag-1. P7= pada saat tanam dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii 10 ml.l-1. P8= pada saat tanam dengan dosis Trichoderma koningii serbuk 10 g polibag-1. P9= bakterisida 1 g.l-1. Pengamatan meliputi: tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah daun dan intensitas serangan penyakit. Data pengamatan yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji BNT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Trichoderma koningii sebelum tanam berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah daun, intensitas serangan penyakit. Pada perlakuan P4 menunjukkan perkembangan tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah daun yang paling tinggi, diikuti dengan perlakuan P9 dan P8. Sedangkan, untuk intensitas serangan penyakit yang paling rentan untuk terkena serangan penyakit yaitu pada perlakuan P0 diikuti dengan perlakuan P5 dan P1.     Bumiaji region is one of tourist destination in Batu city. This area has temperature around 20 that appropriate for horticulture product including crystal guava. One of cultivation treatment for this commodity is organic fertilizer adding. Another treatment for crystal guava commonly by inorganic fertilizer and pesticide application in high dose on long duration. It will be damage problem for environment especially for soil. Thus, this study was aimed for discovering the amount of the heavy metal Al and Pb contained in the soil and Crystal Guava. This study used descriptive analytic method along with using - Atomic Absorption Spectophotometer (AAS) for testing the heavy metal. The results of this study which concerned on the content of metal of metal Al in 0 – 30 cm and 30 - 60 cm soil depth showed that the highest metal essence was in 11 years, 6 years, 5 years exceeded the normal limits and entered the critical threshold of heavy metals. Both types of heavy metals namely Al (Aluminum) and Pb (Lead) both at the age of 11 years, 6 years and 5 years enter the stage beyond the normal threshold of heavy metals which should be in the crystal variety guava Keywords : Heavy metal βˆ™ Crystal guav
