Cardiac depression is one of the most common psychological reactions of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).This study aimed to determine the prevalence of cardiac depression and its related factors among patients with ACS. Thiscross-sectional study was conducted during 2016 in patients with ACS who were admitted to hospitals affiliated to theMazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. In the present study, 407 patients completed the Cardiac DepressionScale (CDS) within two months (March - June). The data were analyzed by a chi-square test and a general linear modelmultivariate analysis. According to the results, the mean cardiac depression score in patients with ACS was 109.00 ± 16.49(CI95: 107.39 to 110.60). Among the participants, 37 (9.1%), 72 (17.7%), and 298 (73.2%) patients had mild, moderate, and severe levels of depression, respectively. Although the two-way ANOVA was not significant, but there was a differencebetween cardiac depression score of a type of ACS. Given the high prevalence of cardiac depression among these patients,it is necessary to develop measures for routine screening in cardiac treatment units

BackgroundThe present review study provides specific evidence to assess the impact of distraction techniques and hypnosis on the pain of bone marrow aspiration in children.Materials and MethodsThis review study aimed to determine the effects of distraction techniques and hypnosis on the controlling pain of bone marrow aspiration in children. Internal databases (SID, Magiran, IranMedex and Irandoc), and international databases (Google-Scholar, Medline, PubMed, Elsevier, ProQuest, Springer and Web of Science), were searched by using the Mesh key words including "cancer", "bone marrow", "aspiration", "distraction", "hypnosis", "pain", "children" and "pediatric", with no time limit since the foundation of these databases until December 2016.ResultsIn overall review of the articles, based on the issues expressed, the effect of most of various distraction interventions and hypnosis on the pain severity of children under the bone marrow aspiration procedure was significant and positive (

This study aimed to determine the factor structure of the spiritual well-being among a sample of the Iranian veterans. In this methodological research, 211 male veterans of Iran–Iraq warfare completed the Paloutzian and Ellison spiritual well-being scale. Maximum likelihood (ML) with oblique rotation was used to assess domain structure of the spiritual well-being. The construct validity of the scale was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), convergent validity, and discriminant validity. Reliability was evaluated with Cronbach’s alpha, Theta (h), and McDonald Omega (X) coefficients, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), and construct reliability (CR). Results of ML and CFA suggested three factors which were labeled ‘‘relationship with God,’’ ‘‘belief in fate and destiny,’’ and ‘‘life optimism.’’ The ICC, coefficients of the internal consistency, and CR were[.7 for the factors of the scale. Convergent validity and discriminant validity did not fulfill the requirements. The Persian version of spiritual well-being scale demonstrated suitable validity and reliability among the veterans of Iran–Iraq warfare
