Monitoring the Activity of Industrial Facilities Using Satellite Images of the Heat IR Range

The results of the development and testing of the methodology for automated processing of satellite images of medium spatial resolution in the heat and short-wave IR range are presented. For the specified test areas, digital maps of the Earth’s surface temperature were obtained for the territories where oil refineries and chemical plants are concentrated. A comparative analysis of the results of automated recognition of heat radiation sources showed a fairly high degree of correlation between the results of processing images of the heat IR range and the results of processing images of the short-wave IR range. We also compared the results of automated recognition of heat radiation sources based on images of the same territory taken from different satellites at different times. The results of testing the proposed methodology confirmed the possibility and high efficiency of using night images from the Terra satellite (ASTER survey instrument) and from the Landsat-8 satellite (TIRS survey instrument) to monitor the production activity of large industrial facilities that are sources of heat radiation. #CSOC1120 © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG

Satellite imagery of lengthy territories with complex configuration with the account of attitude and positioning errors

    No full text
A method for monitoring attitude and positioning errors when taking satellite imagery of lengthy territories with complex configuration using an ultra-high spatial resolution optical-electronic scanner is described in the article. The results of modeling the system of automatic satellite attitude program control during the process of imagery are presented. Given these results, the impact of attitude and positioning errors during satellite imagery was estimated on the coverage percentage of the territory to be imaged

The study presents the results of creating simulated satellite imagery of lengthy territories with complex configuration using data from satellites with optical-electronic scanners of ultrahigh spatial resolution. The article attempts to clarify the feasibility of one-orbit imagery of a given lengthy object, taking into account the existing limitations on the values of pointing angles and satellite angular velocities based on the results of modeling the system of automatic satellite attitude program control during the process of imagery

Creation of integrated system for feeding management activities automation in beef breeding

    No full text
The practical aspects of creating a hardware-software complex for digital information technology implementation in beef breeding feeding management system are considered. Based on systematic analysis of fattening enterprises current state in Kazakhstan, the areas most prepared for automation in the activities of feeding management in beef breeding were identified. The basic information processes are structured to ensure the adoption of optimal management decisions to comply with the technological regulations for keeping animals on the feedlot. The architecture of information infrastructure and integration of its hardware and software components are proposed, taking into account the current state of IT-solutions market. The material and technical base of the processes for feeding management activities automating was selected taking into account the current state of IT-solutions market and integration requirements, its software integration was implemented. Some methodological approaches to solving problems of software engineering are substantiated, implementation of which contributes to the achievement of practical results of increasing the management activities efficiency of personnel at the operational level

Comparative Safety and Efficacy of Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion with the Watchman Device and Amplatzer Cardiac Plug: Results of the Russian National Registry

Purpose. This multicenter, prospective registry evaluated the comparative safety and efficacy of left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) using the Watchman device (WD) and the Amplatzer Cardiac Plug (ACP) in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) in real-world clinical practice in Russia. Methods. The study included data from 200 consecutive NVAF patients (66.8±7.8 years, 44.5% female, median CHA2DS2VASc 4, median HAS-BLED 3) who had undergone LAAO implantation using WD (n=108) or ACP (n=92) from September 2015 to December 2017 in 5 medical centers in Russia. The primary safety endpoint was the procedure-related major adverse events, and the primary efficacy endpoint was the composite of thromboembolic events, device thrombosis, hemorrhagic events, and unexplained death during the 12-month follow-up. Results. Successful LAAO was performed in all 92 (100%) patients with ACP and 105 (97.2%) with WD (p=0.053). At 12 months, primary safety endpoint occurred in 6.5% of patients in the ACP group with no events in the WD group (6.5% vs. 0%, p=0.008). During the 12-month follow-up, the primary efficacy endpoint has occurred in 8.3% of patients in the WD group (n=9) and 1.1% of patients in the ACP group (n=1) (p=0.016). Conclusions. In this multicenter prospective registry, LAA closure with the WD was associated with significantly higher thromboembolic events rate in NVAF patients. Patients, receiving the ACP, had more procedure-related major adverse events. However, further multicenter studies are necessary to evaluate these findings
