Medical student’s activity is one of the strained types of labor in emotional aspects. This affects the level of their mental and physical health. In this study, we conducted a comparative analysis of the educational stress of first and second year medical students. The sample included all russian-speaking students. The academic stress, stressresistance, level of anxiety and depression were studie

Academic stress negatively affects the students’ mental state, leading to lower academic performance, reduction in the level of professional training, and success in the future. This study aims to investigate the medical and psychological status of senior students in medical and pedagogical department

Treatment in a psychiatric hospital is accompanied by a restriction of independence, violation of privacy, coercion, which causes displeasure of patients. The aim of the study was to verify the scale of everyday problems, violations of privacy and coercion in a psychiatric hospital to develop recommendations for the organization of a therapeutic environment. The study included 191 patients in a psychiatric hospital. Anonymous questionnaire was used. Statistical processing of the database was carried out by nonparametric method

The academic load in medical institutes is 2 times higher than in other universities, and the training itself is emotionally stressful, which affects the students’ health. A continuous sample of 1045 medical students from 1 to 6 year of education was examined: 724 local (Russian) and 321 foreign students (India). Depression was more common among Russian (28.7%) than foreign students (17.8%

A search for the dimuon decay of the Standard Model Higgs boson with the ATLAS detector

    Get PDF
A search for the dimuon decay of the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson is performed using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) collected with the ATLAS detector in Run 2 pp collisions at root s = 13 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. The observed (expected) significance over the background-only hypothesis for a Higgs boson with a mass of 125.09 GeV is 2.0 sigma (1.7 sigma). The observed upper limit on the cross section times branching ratio for pp -> H -> mu mu is 2.2 times the SM prediction at 95% confidence level, while the expected limit on a H -> mu mu signal assuming the absence (presence) of a SM signal is 1.1(2.0). The best-fit value of the signal strength parameter, defined as the ratio of the observed signal yield to the one expected in the SM, is mu = 1.2 +/- 0.6. (C) 2020 The Author(s).
