Visible-light mediated oxidative ring expansion of anellated cyclopropanes to fused endoperoxides with antimalarial activity

A visible light mediated ring expansion of readily available carbo- and heterocyclic anellated cyclopropanes by molecular oxygen at ambient pressure has been developed.
