    The article presents the analysis of quality of life of adolescents from Udmurtiya, undergoing prophylaxis of tuberculosis. Author used PedsQL 4.0 questionnaire. 50 adolescents and equal quantity of parents took part in the study. It was shown that the prophylaxis of tuberculosis was performed in adolescents from families with low education level and with low earnings of parents.     FIBER REINFORCED SAND BACKFILL FOR UNDERGROUND PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS

    Crosswalk is an essential element of the transport system of any city. A priority assignment in any such crossing is to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Underground pedestrian crossings are much safer than crossings at another level, but they lose in attraction when it comes to cost. The cost of the construction of an underground pedestrian crossing often leads to project abandonment. The cost of construction can be reduced through the use of flexible corrugated metal structures instead of ordinary concrete structures. The stress-strain state of the structural shells need to be known to facilitate their rational design. The stress-strain state of flexible corrugated metal shells largely depends on the strength and deformation characteristics of the surrounding soil. Therefore, improving the characteristics of backfill soil is an urgent task in reducing the cost of construction for such tunnels. One way to improve the strength and deformation characteristics of soils is the use of reinforcement. Currently, there are a large number of reinforcement schemes and also associated reinforcing materials. One of the most prospective methods of soil reinforcement is the use of fibre filaments. Fibre reinforced soils have significantly higher strength and deformation characteristics in comparison with unreinforced soils. Numerical modelling of a tunnel shell made out of a corrugated metal structure was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of using fibre reinforced sand. Ordinary sand and sand reinforced with polypropylene fibres have been used as soil backfill. The calculation results for a pedestrian tunnel structure involving different strength and deformation characteristics of the backfill soil are presented in this article

    Anatomy and topography of the greater palatine foramen and the greater palatine canal and their significance in clinical practice

    The results of morphology and topography of the greater palatine foramen and the greater palatine canal, and their practical application in clinical practice are presented. A systematic literature search was performed using PubMed, eLibrary, and HAC databases. Effective anesthesia in dentistry can be achieved using local anesthesia methods. The success of anesthesia in the posterolateral parts of the upper jaw depends on an accurate knowledge of the anatomy of this area. The review of the anatomy and morphology of the greater palatine foramen and the greater palatine canal as the target point for conducting analgesia, the anatomical structure of the neurovascular bundle passing in the greater palatine canal, the thickness of the mucous membrane of the palate in its various sections. Techniques of regional anesthesia through the greater palatine canal are considered. It is noted that when carrying out this type of anesthesia, it is necessary to take into account the length, shape of the greater palatine canal, the angle of inclination of the needle to the injection point, (taking into account individual characteristics and under the control of conebeam computed tomography). As a result of the analysis, it was found that the choice of a certain type of surgical intervention depends on the clinical situation. However, to date, neither in domestic nor in foreign literature there is no single point of view about the anatomy and morphology of the greater palatine foramen and the greater palatine canal, which emphasizes the extreme urgency of further research of these anatomical formations

    The activity of adapted milk formula Β«Nestogen 1Β» was investigated on healthy children of first six months of life, including patients with functional disorders of gastrointestinal tract. Β«Nestogen 1Β» was used as supplementary feeding or prime feeding in absence of breast milk. The increase of body weight and growth in children with these types of feeding was similar to age specific norm. Comfortable digestion provides abatement of intestinal colic, normalization of stool frequency and characteristics. Co program index improved and optimal intestinal micribiocenose restored in four weeks.     Background. In 2020, the pandemic caused by novel coronavirus infection has become one of the most critical global health challenges during the past century. The lack of a vaccine, as the most effective way to control the novel infection, has prompted the development of a large number of preventive products by the scientific community. We have developed a candidate vaccine (EpiVacCorona) against novel coronavirus infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 that is based on chemically synthesized peptides conjugated to a carrier protein and adsorbed on aluminum hydroxide and studied the specific activity of the developed vaccine. Aims study of the immunogenicity and protectivity of the peptide candidate vaccine EpiVacCorona. Methods. The work was performed using standard molecular biological, virological and histological methods. Results. It was demonstrated that EpiVacCorona, when administered twice, spaced 14 days apart, to hamsters, ferrets, and non-human primates (african green monkeys, rhesus macaques) at a dose of 260 g, which is equal to one inoculation dose for humans, induces virus-specific antibodies in 100% of the animals. Experiments in hamsters showed this vaccine to be associated with the dose-dependent immunogenicity. The vaccine was shown to accelerate the elimination of the virus from the upper respiratory tract in ferrets and prevent the development of pneumonia in hamsters and non-human primates following a respiratory challenge with novel coronavirus. Conclusions. The results of a preclinical specific activity study indicate that the use of EpiVacCorona has the potential for human vaccination.ОбоснованиС.
