The effect of education of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (C.P.R) on knowledge of nursing staff and C.P.R team members in a hospital in Kerman province
Approximately half of the cardiac arrest mortality occurred in hospitals and nurses are one of the key persons in acceptance duty. For proper performing resuscitation nurses have to have theoretical knowledge and practical skill. Literature review shows knowledge as well as skill deficiency among nurses in this topic. To investigate the effect of CPR education by booklets and brushers on knowledge of Emergency staffs and members of CPR team in one Kerman province hospital at2008. In this quasi-experimental study، to assess CPR knowledge a questionnaire consists of 15 items was used. After confirming the validity and reliability، it was distributed among participants (CPR team and emergency ward staffs). After pretest، booklets and brushers (according to the new protocol of CPR for each part of subject) were distributed among participants. Post test was done after 8 days and data were analyzed by SPSS17. According to the results، after education، knowledge scores of staff about CPR was significantly more than that of before education (P<0.001). Mean of knowledge scores of ICU and CCU nurses in both pre test and post test were higher than that of others (P<0.001). It can be concluded that education، even if it would be inexpensive and brief، has positive effect on improvement of nurses’ knowledge. This study highlights the role of education in development of competency and confident of nurses in the topic of CPR

Assessment of career choice trend among entrance 2007 to 2009 Kerman University of Medical Science nursing students by jobpersonality Holland's theory
Introduction: Assessment of effective factors in selection of career by nursing students is one of approaches to identify and conduct talent volunteers to nursing and reinforcement and staff development in this profession. In many researches has investigated nursing career choice effective factors, but hasn't said any trend for better or worse nursing career choice. Objective: Assessment of career choice trend among entrance 2007 to 2009 Kerman University of Medical Science nursing students by job-personality Holland's theory Method: All of Kerman University of Medical Science nursing students in 2010 (about 250 persons) had invited to participate in this survey and fill questionnaire developed by investigator. Data had analyzed by SPSS17 Results: Compare of career choice effective factors among nursing students entrance 2007 to 2009 showed meaningful statistical differences in professional domain (P<0.05) so freshman students evaluate these high. There was no meaningful statistical difference in other domains. Conclusion: Trend of attract nursing students who like it and select this career whit cognition and because its professional characters that goes to improve, spontaneously is valuable finding, moreover show improvement of nursing educational system income. This reminds necessity of educational program performance and proper management in usage of this professional ability to development of nursing services in any dimension.

Assessment of critical thinking skill among senior student nurses
Introduction: Critical thinking skill is one of the components of clinical decision making and criteria for clinical competency of nursing professionals and students and also valuable factor to develop nursing professional autonomy. In attention to unsuitable results of prior researches and importance of critical thinking ability in nursing and effect of culture on it، further studies about critical thinking skill ability in nursing students are needed. Objective: This study was carried out to determine of critical thinking skills ability among senior nursing students in Sabzevar University of medical science. Method: This research is a descriptive study. 35 subjects were selected by simple sampling from senior nursing students (7th & 8th semester). Data were collected by questionnaire in two parts: demographic variables and B form California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST). After approval ethical and explain necessity of survey، questionnaires distributed among Sabzevar University of medical science nursing students. The data were analyzed by SPSS17. Results: Average of critical thinking skills score was 10. 49±2. 60 with maximum 15 and minimum 5. Also، all participants (100%) had poor critical thinking skills. There were significant differences between variant domains of critical thinking skills (p<0.001). There were no significant statistical relationship among prior semesters average scores and critical thinking skills scores (r=0.02) and students age and critical thinking skills scores(r= 0.06). Conclusion: Critical thinking ability in all participants was weak and no one achieve to minimum critical thinking score. Hence we must train students with high critical thinking skills ability in twentieth century and this topic must be put in colleges’ curriculum
