The Relationship Between the Enterprise Resource Planning System and Maintenance Planning System: An Empirical Study
This studys objective is to investigate the interaction between an enterprises ERP system and its maintenance planning system. The primary data were collected using a structured questionnaire in a descriptive and analytical cross- sectional survey. To accomplish the goal of this study, data collection was conducted by giving a questionnaire to a selected group of top managers, supervisors, and engineers at Lafarge Cement Jordan. The findings indicate that an ERP systems (workforce, information) component has a favorable and statistically significant link with equipment availability. The findings indicate that the (Spares Tools & Materials, Outsourcing,) component of an ERP system has insignificant effect on equipment availability. The outcome of the other model indicated that an ERP systems (Spares Tools & Materials, Outsourcing, and Workforce) components have a positive and substantial link with workforce utilization. The findings indicate that the (Information) component of an ERP system has a negligible effect on workforce utilization. A future research target for the characteristics is to expand on the present attributes by incorporating maintenance activities for vendor-supplied patches and designing and implementing a comprehensive set of paperless maintenance forms for managing and recording all maintenance operations

Integration of Supply Chains and Operational Performance: The Moderating Effects of Knowledge Management
Supply chain integration (SCI) is a strategic process management technique that may be used to boost an organizations performance and thereby gain a competitive edge. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate both the direct effect of (SCI) on manufacturing firms operational performance and the moderating effect of knowledge management (KM) on the relationship between supplier integration (SI), customer integration (CI), internal integration (II), and operational performance (OP). The study analyzed survey data from 277 Jordanian manufacturing and industrial businesses using the PLS–Structural Equation method. According to the data, (CI), (II), and (SI) are all positively and significantly associated with operational success. (CI), (II), and (SI) all have a strong and beneficial moderate relationship with (OP). There is, however, no connection between (KM) and (OP). Furthermore, further research may be conducted to assess the applicability of the findings from this study to other populations of varied sizes in other countries. A long-term study that tracks the growth of different measures might provide further insight on the relationship between SCI and OP
Interpretive structural modelling of risk sources in a virtual organisation
International audienceSpeedier network decision making together with shorter time to bring items to market together with lower network operating costs all result from enhanced knowledge sharing. In addition re-use of enterprise and network knowledge resulting from improved capture means that any risk of repeating earlier project work is limited, repetition of past mistakes is reduced. Decisions are made with greater awareness of any risks involved and therefore there is likely to be a reduction in costs arising from faulty decisions and failed collaborations. While there are many advantages attaching to the use of virtual organizations (VOs) there are also challenges, including risks that have become apparent through undertaking a review of the literature. In total 13 sources of risk were found stemming from the network related risks in a VO, where the emphasis of the study was placed,. This paper contains a thorough study that will identify these threats as well as gaining a sound understanding of them by examining them one by one as they have been identified by the literature and previous studies. Subsequently, their relative importance will be analysed through the use of Structural Modeling (ISM) using information gathered in a questionnaire
