Effect of TU-100 in NASH
Background : Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is associated with a higher risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and the importance of the gut–liver axis has been recognized in NASH-associated HCC. We investigated the effect of TU-100 on the intestinal microbiome and hepatocarcinogenesis in a NASH model. Methods : Seven-week-old Tsumura Suzuki obese diabetes mice, a model that shows the spontaneous onset of NASH and HCC, were used. They were divided into a TU-100 treated group and a control group. Mice were sacrificed at 24 and 48 weeks to evaluate hepatic steatosis, fibrosis, carcinogenesis, cytokine expression, and microbiome abundance. Results : At 24 weeks, the TU-100 group showed significantly lower expression of IL6, IL1B, and ACTA2 mRNA in the liver (P < 0.05). At 48 weeks, the TU-100 group showed significantly lower levels of serum alanine aminotransferase. The TU-100 group also showed a lower rate of NASH than the control group (28% vs 72% ; P = 0.1). Tumor diameter was significantly smaller in the TU-100 group compared with that in the control group (P < 0.05). Regarding the intestinal microbiome, the genera Blautia and Ruminococcus were increased in the TU-100 group (P < 0.05), whereas Dorea and Erysipelotrichaceae were decreased in the TU-100 group (P < 0.05). Conclusions : TU-100 regulates the intestinal microbiome and may suppress subsequent hepatocarcinogenesis in the NASH model

Presently special needs education is in the process of being changed to special support education, and the training of special support education coordinators has become an important issue. In 2006, Naruto University of Education established a field of study in the training for special support education coordinators. We conducted a nationwide survey on the training of coordinators with the aim of helping this field function smoothly. The subjects of the survey were the nationwide prefectural Board of Education and the Board of Education in the municipalities in Tokushima Prefecture. The total number of boards was 95. Fifteen questions were the surveyed items. The first 7 questions were items that asked about the present conditions of coordinator training in each prefecture or municipality. The last 8 questions were items that asked about their needs which Naruto University of Education should address. The main results were the following. In coordinator education, strong needs exist in heightening the "ability to coordinate and adjust" and the "ability to guide teachers, parents, and children" rather than in obtaining a teaching license. Furthermore, it became evident that our university is expected to play a role as a specialized organization involved in the training for special support education and to be a resource of the society which makes regional contributions

Although professors try to keep classrooms quiet, some students keep on chatting with each other. Both professors and students deeply worry about a noisy circumstance. Professors in the nursing care department have already noticed that the circumstance of classes have been deteriorating year by year. Some professors fear that some students would never study even if they attend classes. Therefore the department conducted a survey concerning chat in classes, distributing questionnaire to each student during classes. The survey reveals interesting tendencies among students. Firstly, there are some hard core students that always chat and destroy circumstances of classes. Secondly, most students wish to listen to lessons quietly, however they cannot keep to be quiet against their wish. Thirdly, their interest to accomplishment of study and to other students affect their wish to be quiet. Some proposals are made upon these fact-findings
未来の保育者としての総合的人間力を高める表現教育の開発 平成29(2017)~令和元(2019)年度和洋女子大学教育振興支援助成報告
本稿では、本学こども発達学科(学類)で、平成29(2017)~令和元(2019)年度に和洋女子大学教育振興支援助成を受けて実施した取組課題「未来の保育者としての総合的人間力を高める表現教育の開発」について報告した。3年間で「自分を表現する」「他者の表現に応答する」「協同を通した創造的表現力を育成する」というテーマを設定し、外部講師を招いたワークショップを中心に実践的な表現教育を行った。学生自らが表現することだけでなく、表現教育に関する知識・技術を構造化したり、自律性を高めたりすることを目指した

All students in the nursing care department must take the general graduate examination. The result does not afect students\u27 acquisition of the national license now. However, it is expected that each student must pass the examination to get the license in the future. We, professors in the nursing care department, educate and encourage them through various opportunities to become good care workers. The goal of passing the examination becomes more diicult year after year as a whole, for the acknowledged level of students lowers year after year. However, the knowledge of nursing care is critically important in providing appropriate nursing care. Therefore all the professors of the department determined to educate all the students in order to pass the examination. It is a hard object for the professors to attain. We must improve our teaching skills through our faculty development activities. Last year we had many special lessons for our students to prepare the examination. The number of passing the examination improved amazingly last year, compared to the previous year. We will continue to improve our teaching skills to attain our goal, to make sure all the students pass the examinat ion
