The article deals with the essence and structure of the concept of  “emotional empathy”. The components of “emotional empathy” in the psychological and pedagogical literature are analyzed. The greater focus is placed on the importance of emotional empathy formation in the context of the professional competence of the nurse.У статті розглянуто сутність та структуру поняття «емоційний інтелект».
