On discreteness of subgroups of quaternionic hyperbolic isometries
Let denote the -dimensional quaternionic
hyperbolic space. The linear group acts by the isometries of
. A subgroup of is called
\emph{Zariski dense} if it does not fix a point on and neither it preserves a totally
geodesic subspace of . We prove that a Zariski dense
subgroup of is discrete if for every loxodromic element
the two generator subgroup is
discrete, where the generator is certain fixed element
not necessarily from .Comment: Reformatted, adding new result, and removing some. Removed parts will

Paroxysmal Visual Phenomenon: A Rare and Confusing Manifestation of Occipital Neurocysticercosis in Children
We report a child with occipital inflammatory granuloma of neurocysticercosis who presented with paroxysmal visual phenomenon and discuss its differentiation from migraine aura. Occipital seizures due to neurocysticercosis must be considered in the differential diagnosis of visual hallucinations in children in endemic areas
Integrity Estimation Model: Fault Perspective
An integrity estimation model for object oriented design fault perspective has been proposed in this paper. Integrity has been recognized as a major factor to software security, an importance is being drawn to measure integrity early in development life cycle. No such model has been available in the literature that estimates security of object oriented design by taking fault parameters into consideration. A suit of design metrics useful in measuring integrity of software has been recognized. It becomes more significant in the case of object oriented design fault perspective. In this study a metrics based Integrity Estimation Model (IEMOODF) for object oriented design has been developed and justifying the correlation with the help of experimental tryouts. Finally the developed model ?Integrity Estimation Model? is empirically validated and contextual importance of the study shows the high correlation for proposed model acceptance
CLINICAL EVALUATION OF AYURVEDIC FORMULATION OF COLICARMIN PLUS SYRUP ON COLIC, GRIPING PAIN, INDIGESTION, NAUSEA, VOMITING, AND OTHER DIGESTIVE DISORDERS IN PAEDIATRICS AND GERIATRICS PATIENTS.
ABSTRACTObjective: An open label study to assess the effect of colicarmin plus syrup on colic and griping pain, indigestion, nausea and vomiting in children, and geriatric patients. Methods: (a) A study was conducted on 75 number of patients to evaluate the effect of colicarmin plus syrup on colic and griping pain, indigestion, nausea and vomiting in children, and adults, (b) mostly these children were selected from different classes of families, (c) all the patients were checkedon the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd week after starting the therapeutic dose.Dosage schedule: (a) Children: 1 Teaspoonful thrice a day after meals, (b) adults: 2 Teaspoonful twice to thrice a day after meals. Results: (a) Colic and griping pain: In the total duration of treatment, no of patients recovering were 23-on 1st week, 4-on 2 week, overall result is 93.54%, (b) indigestion: In the total duration of treatment, no of patients recovering were 26-on 1stnd week, and 3-on 3 week, 3-on 2 week, and 1-on3rd week, the overall result is 93.75%, (c) nausea and vomiting: In the total duration of treatment, no of patients recovering were 8-on 1 week, 2-on2nd week, and 1-on 3rd week, the overall result is 91.33%.Conclusion: Based on the study, we can conclude that colicarmin plus syrup is an Ayurvedic formulation with benefits such as digestive, carminative, anthelmintic, antiflatulent, antispasmodic, and devoid of side effects. Keywords: Digestive, Carminative, Anthelmintic, Antiflatulent and Antispasmodic.ndstr
Design and Simulation of Soft Switching Boost Converter for Photovoltaic System
India is among leading power producing countries but still we have an unreliable and inefficient electrical infrastructure. Photovoltaic power generation can be helpful to meet the requirements of electricity demand. In order to increase efficiency of PV system a soft-switching boost converter is adopted, which consists of an auxiliary resonant circuit having an auxiliary switch, two diodes with a resonant capacitor and a resonant inductor. This model of converter can supply 60 W to load. Since hard switching generates losses during turn on and turns off but in the proposed converter circuit Zero Voltage Switching operation is performed by resonant capacitor at turn-off condition and Zero Current Switching operation by resonant inductor at turn-on. The chosen converter reduces switching loss as well as voltage and current stress across the devices due to this the efficiency of converter increases. As designed converter is operated at high frequency, so small size of inductors and capacitors are required, this reduces size of converter. Incremental Conductance algorithm is used to achieve maximum power from PV module .The proposed converter and inverter circuit are simulated in Psim9.0 with PV and Maximum Power Point Tracking and theoretical analysis is verifie
Quantum-enhanced super-sensitivity of Mach-Zehnder interferometer using squeezed Kerr state
We study the phase super-sensitivity of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI)
with the squeezed Kerr and coherent states as the inputs. We discuss the lower
bound in phase sensitivity by considering the quantum Fisher information (QFI)
and corresponding quantum Cramer-Rao bound (QCRB). With the help of single
intensity detection (SID), intensity difference detection (IDD) and homodyne
detection (HD) schemes, we find that our scheme gives better sensitivity in
both the lossless as well as in lossy conditions as compared to the combination
of well-known results of inputs as coherent plus vacuum, coherent plus squeezed
vacuum and double coherent state as the inputs. Because of the possibility of
generation of squeezed Kerr state (SKS) with the present available quantum
optical techniques, we expect that SKS may be an alternative nonclassical
resource for the improvement in the phase super-sensitivity of the MZI under
realistic scenario.Comment: Comments are welcome
Pancytopenia in Indian Children: A Clinicohematological Analysis
Objective: To determine the etiological profile of pancytopenia in pediatric patients in India. Material and methods: Medical records review of a 5-year period between 1st September 1997 and 31st August 2002. Clinical and hematological data of all patients with pancytopenia (hemoglobin [Hb] ≤10 g/dL, TLC ≤4 × 109/L, platelet count ≤150 × 109/L) at presentation were analyzed. Patients on cytotoxic chemotherapy, those developing pancytopenia during hospital stay, patients referred from other centers with hematological malignancies and neonates were excluded. Results: Forty-two children (mean age 8.26 years, range 8.5 months to 13 years, M:F : 1:0.8) were included. Megaloblastic anemia, aplastic anemia and infections were commonest causes, being responsible for 25%, 19.6% and 32.1% of the cases, respectively. Bone-marrow aspiration (BMA) was helpful in reaching a definitive diagnosis in 92.8% of those in whom sufficient marrow tissue was retrieved for analysis. Aplastic anemia was the commonest reason for failure of BMA in providing a diagnosis. Conclusions: Majority (almost 60%) of the causes of pancytopenia among pediatric patients in this region are easily treatable. There is a need to be aware of such conditions and appropriate investigative modalities should be undertaken for the same
Tuberculous Aortic Root Abscess in a child: A case report
Although tuberculous aortitis is fairly common in adults, tuberculous mycotic aneurysm of aorta is rare withinvolvement of aortic root being very uncommon. The diagnosis depends on a combination of clinical criteria, including persistent fever and bacteraemia and echocardiographic confirmation. Because of the rarity of aorticroot abscess in children, there is no consensus on a treatment strategy. We describe a 10-year-old male whopresented with fever, abdominal pain and headache, and was found to have disseminated tuberculosis and aorticroot abscess with mycotic aneurysm. Due to the presence of evidence of tuberculosis elsewhere in the body(multiple tuberculomas in brain, granulomas in liver, lichen scrofulosorum over abdomen), therapy with antituberculousdrugs was started to which the patient responded partially, but later died suddenly at home
