    Abstract.In this article, various approaches to the consolidation of notion of “corruption offence” areconsidered with the help of a comparative legal analysis of the content of criminal legislation of Russia and CIS member states. Researchers found that in order to achieve this goal, national legislators use the two following methods: 1) to fix the definition of “corruption offence” in criminal law; 2) to establish a closed list of such unlawful acts. By taking into account the importance of the concept under consideration in the fight against corruption, a conclusion was made about the prospect of its fixing in the criminal laws of all CIS member states.Keywords: criminal legislation, corruption, corruption offence, criminal law, law

    Committing a Crime while Intoxicated: The Basis of Liability and Legal Regulation

    Alcohol and drugs have been known for a long time, and their purpose has changed in the course of history. Being part of the global culture, they have come down to us. With the development of mankind, drugs were limited. This article attempts to analyzes the concept and types of intoxication. The authors also take into consideration the basis of criminal liability for committing a crime while intoxicated, as well as the role of intoxication in criminal law. This research was based on a dialectical approach to the disclosure of legal phenomena and processes using general scientific (systematic and logical methods, analysis and synthesis) and specific scientific methods. In the end, It can be concluded that the state of intoxication can be included in the main corpus delict, used as a qualifying attribute, as well as circumstances aggravating liability. It is indicated that considering intoxication as an aggravating circumstance requires a connection between crime and intoxication

    Overcrowding in prisons is a common problem that affects many countries. It is difficult to define this term because there is no single internationally accepted standard. This article presents a comparative study of international standards for the activities of doctors in penitentiary institutions as an integral part of international standards of penitentiary activity. The authors investigated the methods and the degree of their impact on the penitentiary legislation of the Russian Federation and other CIS countries. The conclusion is drawn about the positive role of such standards in improving the national penitentiary legislation in order to increase the level of medical care for prisoners
