    Abstract: The temperature is one of the most important factors in the traditional fermentation. Wireless temperature monitoring system is used for real-time monitoring on the three lignite fermentation heap temperature of YUNNAN GREENTECH CO., LTD. in this experiment, lignite humic acid content, organic matter content and PH are tracked and detected. It reflect directly internal temperature changes of the fermentation heap through three-dimensional structure of the fermentation heap temperature mapping, especially of every lignite layers at certain point. More fermentation heap monitoring points, other indicators of organic fertilizer assessment besides humic acid content, organic matter content and PH can be selected to be monitored in further study. A more scientific and comprehensive lignite fermentation law can be explored to guide production practices better, and improve production quality and yield

    A modified method for constructing experimental rat periodontitis model

    Background: Periodontitis is a prevalent disease caused teeth lost. The present rat models inducing periodontitis with thread ligature and metal steel ligature have some disadvantages.Methods: We modified the existing rat ligature periodontitis model by fixing the thread ligature on the metal steel ligature passed through the gap between the first and second molars of rats with detailed modeling steps and illustrations. We research the pathological process of the periodontitis induced by the modified model, and briefly compared the modified model with the thread ligature model and the metal steel ligature model.Result: Our experimental results showed that there was an aggravation in inflammatory infiltration and alveolar bone resorption in modeling area within 14 days of initial induction. After that, the inflammatory infiltration was reduced. And no significant increase in alveolar bone destruction appeared. The modified model was more reliable compared to the thread ligature model, and had greater ability of bacterial aggregation compared to the metal steel ligature model.Conclusion: The modified method covered pathological process of the periodontitis, and showed sufficient efficiency and reliability in inducing rat periodontitis

    Online monitoring instantaneous 2D temperature distributions in a furnace using acoustic tomography based on frequency division multiplexing

    The online and accurate capture of dynamic changes in furnace temperature distribution is crucial for production efficiency improvement and international environmental policy compliance in power plants. To achieve this, a measurement system with a reliable online reconstruction capability and high temporal resolution is necessary. This paper presents a novel technique that can improve the temporal resolution of the currently existing acoustic tomography (AT) system using frequency division multiplexing (FDM). This method allows for concurrent transmissions of acoustic signals in several different frequency bands instead of a sequential manner, which leads to more efficient channel utilization and allows all acoustic signals to be acquired at the same time, so that a better temporal uniformity of multipath acoustic signals can be realized. Theoretical analysis and experiments have been conducted to verify the effectiveness of this technique. The results prove that the proposed method can significantly improve the temporal resolution of the AT system while maintaining the accuracy and robustness of the reconstruction

    A stability and spatial-resolution enhanced laser absorption spectroscopy tomographic sensor for complex combustion flame diagnosis

    A novel stable laser absorption spectroscopy (LAS) tomographic sensor with enhanced stability and spatial resolution is developed and applied to complex combustion flame diagnosis. The sensor reduces the need for laser collimation and alignment even in extremely harsh environments and improves the stability of the received laser signal. Furthermore, a new miniaturized laser emission module was designed to achieve multi-degree of freedom adjustment. The full optical paths can be sampled by 8 receivers, with such arrangement, the equipment cost can be greatly reduced, at the same time, the spatial resolution is improved. In fact, 100 emitted laser paths are realized in a limited space of 200mmĂ—200 mm with the highest spatial resolution of 1.67mmĂ—1.67 mm. The stability and penetrating spatial resolution of the LAS tomographic sensor were validated by both simulation and field experiments on the afterburner flames. Tests under two representative experiment states, i.e., the main combustion and the afterburner operation states, were conducted. Results show that the error under the main combustion state was about 4.32% and, 5.38% at the afterburner operation state. It has been proven that this proposed sensor can provide better tomographic measurements for combustion diagnosis, as an effective tool for improving performances of afterburners

    Systematic analysis and case series of the diagnosis and management of trichilemmal carcinoma

    BackgroundTrichilemmal carcinoma (TLC) is a rare malignant cutaneous adnexal neoplasm, with no relatively comprehensive research.ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to perform an updated statistical analysis so as to better understand TLC’s epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment.MethodsThe diagnosis and treatment of three TLC cases in our department were summarized. Then, all TLC cases published in the literature were retrieved for a comprehensive analysis, followed by the analysis of global trends and regional distribution, demographic characteristics, clinical features, pathogenesis, histopathological features, and treatment and prognosis of TLC.ResultsOf the 231 cases, the incidence of TLC has shown an upward trend recently, especially in China, in Asia. The susceptible population is men aged 60–80 and women over 80, and the most prone location is head and neck. The phenotype of TLC is not always typical and may be misdiagnosed because of the coexistence of other diseases. There is a linear relationship between the diameter and its duration or thickness. UV, locally present skin lesions, trauma, scarring, organ transplantation, and genetic disorders may trigger the occurrence of TLC. Periodic acid–Schiff staining and CD34, but not Epithelial Membrane Antigen (EMA), were helpful in the diagnosis of TLC. Although effective, surgical excision and Mohs micrographic surgery need further improvement to reduce recurrence of TLC. Carcinoma history is an independent risk factor for TLC recurrence.LimitationsThe limitation of this study is the lack of randomized controlled trial on TLC treatment and recurrence.ConclusionTLC has the possibility of invasive growth and recurrence, especially in patients with longer duration and carcinoma history

    Prevalence and prognosis of molecularly defined familial hypercholesterolemia in patients with acute coronary syndrome

    BackgroundFamilial hypercholesterolemia (FH) can elevate serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels, which can promote the progression of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). However, the effect of FH on the prognosis of ACS remains unclear.MethodsIn this prospective cohort study, 223 patients with ACS having LDL-C ≥ 135.3 mg/dL (3.5 mmol/L) were enrolled and screened for FH using a multiple-gene FH panel. The diagnosis of FH was defined according to the ACMG/AMP criteria as carrying pathogenic or likely pathogenic variants. The clinical features of FH and the relationship of FH to the average 16.6-month risk of cardiovascular events (CVEs) were assessed.ResultsThe prevalence of molecularly defined FH in enrolled patients was 26.9%, and coronary artery lesions were more severe in patients with FH than in those without (Gensini score 66.0 vs. 28.0, respectively; P < 0.001). After lipid lowering, patients with FH still had significantly higher LDL-C levels at their last visit (73.5 ± 25.9 mg/dL vs. 84.7 ± 37.1 mg/dL; P = 0.013) compared with those without. FH increased the incidence of CVEs in patients with ACS [hazard ratio (HR): 3.058; 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.585–5.900; log-rank P < 0.001].ConclusionFH is associated with an increased risk of CVEs in ACS and is an independent risk factor for ACS. This study highlights the importance of genetic testing of FH-related gene mutations in patients with ACS
