本稿は,2005年におこなわれた第44回衆議院選挙において,若い女性層が,どのようなメディアから影響を受け,その結果としてどのように考え,投票したのかを探ることを目的としている。予想外の結果となった今回の総選挙は記憶に新しいが,特筆すべき点として,これまで選挙に関心のなかった若年層が郵政解散選挙の「劇場型政治」に"踊らされる"かのように影響を受けて与党支持に流れたこと,ブログやWebなどの新しいメディアが投票行動に影響を与えたと考えられていることなどがある。そこで本稿では,その現状を探るためにアンケート調査をおこなった。調査の結果を分析すると,若年女性層の投票行動は,特に「劇場型政治」に"踊らされて"投票をしたとは言えないことがわかった。また,ブログなどの新しいメディアはほとんど影響を与えていなかった。一方で,若年女性層の投票行動にもっとも影響を与えていたのは家族であり,各種のメディアよりも家族の中でのさまざまな情報交換に信頼を置いている傾向を確認することができた。The 44th the House of Representatives election has provoked a controversy because it ended in the sweeping victory of the government party. Numerous attempts have been made by scholars to say that due to the young people\u27 voting who use Information Communication Technology. This paper is intended as an investigation of the effects of all kinds of media and others on young women\u27s voting behavior. The results obtained were contrary to our intention. It clearly shows that young women\u27s voting behavior is irrelevant to ICT media. From this survey, we realize that nothing will explain their voting better than the effects of their family member\u27s opinion. These results lead us to the conclusion that the political attitudes of young women have connections with the situations of their families

本稿では、大学生の若年層に、現在の生活環境、メディア利用状況、そして社会参加の状況を聞いた「社会参加力とICT利用に関する調査」の単純集計の結果を報告しつつ、試験的な分析をおこなった。その結果、2つの主要な成果を得た。まず、若年層の生活環境やメディア利用の現状について、また社会参加の状況について詳しく知ることができた。さらに、予備調査の段階であるにもかかわらず、個人の社会環境やメディア利用状況が社会参加に影響を与えている、いくつかの可能性を知ることができた。その結果、先行研究が十分ではない中、社会参加の実態がより深刻に問われている、福祉・医療分野での本格的な調査のために重要な示唆を得ることができた。This paper is of interest as an investigation on the living conditions, skills of media, and social activities of young people. Little attention has been given to the relations among these factors concerning the social participation. We performed a pilot survey of "Social participation and Media literacy" to gather data from a number of university students, and analyzed it in detail. As a result of this analysis and cross tabulations, we have seen the conditions of young person\u27s daily life and various situations of using media. In addition, we have understood that living conditions and skills the of media have some complex connections with social activities. To sum up, the relations of these factors for social participation remain as a matter to be discussed further. The results of this pilot survey would clarify the key to an understanding for people with disabilities who have great difficulties in social participation
Development of Kupffer cell targeting type-I interferon for the treatment of hepatitis via inducing anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory actions
Because of its multifaceted anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, delivering type-I interferon to Kupffer cells has the potential to function as a novel type of therapy for the treatment of various types of hepatitis. We report herein on the preparation of a Kupffer cell targeting type-I interferon, an albumin-IFNα2b fusion protein that contains highly mannosylated N-linked oligosaccharide chains, Man-HSA(D494N)-IFNα2b, attached by combining albumin fusion technology and site-directed mutagenesis. The presence of this unique oligosaccharide permits the protein to be efficiently, rapidly and preferentially distributed to Kupffer cells. Likewise IFNα2b, Man-HSA(D494N)-IFNα2b caused a significant induction in the mRNA levels of IL-10, IL-1Ra, PD-L1 in RAW264.7 cells and mouse isolated Kupffer cells, and these inductions were largely inhibited by blocking the interferon receptor. These data indicate that Man-HSA(D494N)-IFNα2b retained the biological activities of type-I interferon. Man-HSA(D494N)-IFNα2b significantly inhibited liver injury in Concanavalin A (Con-A)-induced hepatitis model mice, and consequently improved their survival rate. Moreover, the post-administration of Man-HSA(D494N)-IFNα2b at 2 h after the Con-A challenge also exerted hepato-protective effects. In conclusion, this proof-of-concept study demonstrates the therapeutic effectiveness and utility of Kupffer cell targeting type-I interferon against hepatitis via its anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory actions
ベリニ管由来が示唆された乳頭状腺癌の1例
76歳男, 健康診断のため施行された腹部CTで左腎腫瘍が疑われ根治的左腎摘出術が施行された。摘除腎の髄質に割面黄褐色で直径約2cmの腫瘍を認め病理組織学的に円柱状で好酸性胞体を有する悪性細胞が乳頭状に増殖していた。レクチンおよび2種のモノクローナル抗体を用いた検討では, Soybean agglutinin, Peanut agglutinin, Dolichos biflorus agglutinin, Lotus tetragonolobus agglutininおよびCytokeratinは弱陽性でTamm-Horsfall proteinが陰性であった。腫瘍の肉眼的および組織学的所見は, 本腫瘍がベリニ管上皮由来であることを強く示唆した。患者は手術後1年を経たが腫瘍の再発を認めず健在であるA case of Bellini duct carcinoma is reported. A left renal tumor was detected by abdominal computerized tomography in a 76-year-old male, although he had no symptoms, such as hematuria, weight loss or flank pain. Radical nephrectomy was performed under the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma in the left kidney. Macroscopic examination of the resected kidney revealed a tumor 2.0 cm in diameter, with a yellow-brown cut surface, located in the renal medulla. Histological examinations showed malignant tumor cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm with a papillary growth pattern. Immunohistostaining examinations using Lectin and two kinds of monoclonal antibodies demonstrated no significant staining with soybean agglutinin, peanut agglutinin, Dolichos biflorus agglutinin, Lotus tetragonolobus agglutinin or cytokeratin, and negative staining with Tamm-Horsfall protein. Although the results of immunohistostaining did not provide support, both macroscopic and microscopic findings strongly suggested that this tumor originated from Bellini duct epithelium (Bellini duct carcinoma). The patient is alive with no evidence of disease 1 year after surgery. Bellini duct carcinoma is a rare malignant condition and the prognosis is usually poor. Differential diagnosis from other renal or pelvic tumors is difficult and long-term careful follow-up is necessary

Engineering of a Long-Acting Bone Morphogenetic Protein-7 by Fusion with Albumin for the Treatment of Renal Injury
The bone morphogenetic protein-7 (BMP7) is capable of inhibiting TGF-β/Smad3 signaling, which subsequently results in protecting the kidney from renal fibrosis, but its lower blood retention and osteogenic activity are bottlenecks for its clinical application. We report herein on the fusion of carbohydrate-deficient human BMP7 and human serum albumin (HSA-BMP7) using albumin fusion technology and site-directed mutagenesis. When using mouse myoblast cells, no osteogenesis was observed in the glycosylated BMP7 derived from Chinese hamster ovary cells in the case of unglycosylated BMP7 derived from Escherichia coli and HSA-BMP7. On the contrary, the specific activity for the Smad1/5/8 phosphorylation of HSA-BMP7 was about 25~50-times lower than that for the glycosylated BMP7, but the phosphorylation activity of the HSA-BMP7 was retained. A pharmacokinetic profile showed that the plasma half-life of HSA-BMP7 was similar to that for HSA and was nearly 10 times longer than that of BMP7. In unilateral ureteral obstruction mice, weekly dosing of HSA-BMP7 significantly attenuated renal fibrosis, but the individual components, i.e., HSA or BMP7, did not. HSA-BMP7 also attenuated a cisplatin-induced acute kidney dysfunction model. The findings reported herein indicate that HSA-BMP7 has the potential for use in clinical applications for the treatment of renal injuries
