    In this study we analyzed the design changes through increasing vertical angles of the top and bottom plates of the wind inlet of a Savonius rotor, in order to obtain better results and better system performances. A designed wind inlet is placed in the front part of the rotor in order to prevent negative torque opposing rotor rotation. The geometric parameters of the wind inlet are determined to obtain optimal performances. Analyses and tests have shown that the increase of the vertical angles of the top and bottom plates on the wind inlet of a Savonius rotor leads to better rotor performances in comparison to the use of a classic wind inlet. It was found that the best results are achieved with increasing vertical angles of the top and bottom plates of the Savonius rotor wind inlet for a total of 15°, where the rotor speed is 395 revolutions per minute. / В данной статье представлен анализ замены дизайна ротора Савониуса путем увеличения вертикальных углов верхней и нижней стенки конфузора, произведенной в целях улучшения эксплуатационных свойств системы. Конфузор для вихревого потока размещается фронтально для того чтобы предотвращать отрицательный крутящий момент противоположный вращению ротора. Анализ и испытания показали, что при учеличении вертикальных углов верхней и нижней стенки конфузора ротора Савониуса значительно улучшаются эксплуатационные свойства ротора. Выявлено, что наилучшие результаты достигаются при увеличении вертикальных углов верхней и нижней стенки конфузора ротора Савониус на 15° суммарно, при этом количество оборотов ротора достигает 395°/мин. / U radu je izvršena analiza promene dizajna kroz povećanje vertikalnih uglova gornje i donje ploče uvodnika za vetar Savoniusovog rotora, sa ciljem da se dobiju bolji rezultati i bolje karakteristike sistema. Dizajn sa uvodnikom za vetar smešten je u prednjem delu rotora kako bi se sprečila negativna obrtna sila suprotna rotaciji rotora. Geometrijski parametri uvodnika za vetar su određeni kako bi se dobile optimalne performanse. Analizom i ispitivanjem ustanovljeno je da se sa povećanjem vertikalnih uglova gornje i donje ploče na uvodniku za vetar Savoniusovog rotora dobijaju bolje performanse rotora nego samo korišćenjem klasičnog uvodnika za vetar. Utvrđeno je da se najbolji rezultati postižu sa povećanjem vertikalnih uglova gornje i donje ploče uvodnika za vetar Savoniusovog rotora za ukupno 15o, gde se dobija broj obrtaja rotora 395o/min

    In this paper the relevant legislation for the geothermal energy in the European countries and Serbia is reviewed. There is a variety of the incentives for the geothermal production which are well known throughout the European Union. The governmental policies for the support of the geothermal development have so far focused on the power generation only. It is necessary to make serious efforts in order to harmonize the legislation and to simplify the procedures of establishing and implementing the policies for boosting the direct use of the geothermal energy. The Law on Energy of the Republic of Serbia which was adopted by the Parliament and the Energy Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia until 2015 have defined the privileged power producers, but only by passing the Regulation on the incentive measures for the production of electricity using the renewable energy sources combined with the production of electricity and the thermal energy, which came into force on January 1st 2010

    ROUTE OPTIMIZATION TO INCREASE ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND REDUCE FUEL CONSUMPTION OF COMMUNAL VEHICLES

    Collection and transportation within the system of solid waste management may account more than 60% of the overall budget, most of which is for fuel costs. Furthermore, municipal vehicles have great environmental impact through exhaust gases emissions. The aim of this research was to estimate the potential for reduction of fuel consumption and thus the emission of CO2 through the communal vehicles route optimization. General methodology for route optimization is also presented. For the area under study, detailed field experimental research in the City of Kragujevac was conducted. Using GIS and GPS technology, whole municipally infrastructure for waste collection was scanned and all paths of communal tracks was recorded and allocated in developed database. Based on experimental and numerical results, one typical municipal vehicle route was analyzed by using ArcGis software. The obtained result indicates 2700 km of possible savings per year concerning one communal vehicle. In addition, the most fuel-economical route was extracted and compared with the original route, and with the routes extracted from criterions concerning the traffic time and shortest distance. According to available information for the City of Kragujevac and the results from this study, it was estimated that the total savings could be 20% in costs and the associated emissions

    DETERMINATION ANALYSIS OF TEMPERATURE REGIMES, FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND SLIDING CURVES OF A HYDRODYNAMIC CLUTCH

    Analysis of output quality of power transmitters is possible in position when characteristics are determined earlier. This is the reason why we focused on determination of these characteristics for a concrete power hydro-transmitter. This means that the investigation task primarily consisted of determination of functional characteristics, defining of the sliding curves and temperature regimes of a concrete hydrodynamic clutch. Results of velocity and pressure field investigations in the working space of this clutch, obtained by use of the same test setup, are the basis for determination and analysis of the functional characteristics, sliding curves and temperature regimes. In this work we also analyzed function of the hydrodynamic transmitter in assembly with an internal combustion engine, as well as a process of acceleration and deceleration of a vehicle with this assembly in it

    This paper presents a methodology development and the results achieved in the process of establishing energy management system in the City of Kragujevac (Serbia) and in its public services. The paper is an overview of influential factors in the field of energy management, analyzing their impact on raising the energy efficiency of individual utility service and the city of Kragujevac, as a whole. The paper also presents the most interesting scientific and research projects realized in the cooperation of several actors which were coordinated by Regional Euro Energy Efficiency Center Kragujevac. The municipal companies together with the city administration are the direct beneficiaries of the results realized in the following areas: -Development of energy management in municipalities and the establishment of energy planning at the local level; -Improvement of municipal services by applying energy efficiency measures in public enterprises: "Energetika" (heating), "Cistoca" (communal waste management), and "Vodovod i kanalizacija" (water and waste water management)
