Study of the inhibition of the corrosion of copper and zinc in HNO3 solution by electrochemical technique and quantum chemical calculations
Corrosion inhibition of 70Cu-30Zn alloy in 0,5 M HNO by 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole
The inhibitive action of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (ATA)
on 70Cu-30Zn alloy corrosion in HNO 0,5M was examined. Gravimetric
and electrochemical tests were used. The results obtained show that the ATA
reduces effectively the dissolution of 70Cu-30Zn alloy. The inhibition
efficiency in aerated acid increased with increasing ATA concentration to a
maximum of 69% at 10M. The adsorption of the inhibitor is found to
obey to the Langumir adsorption isotherm
