Women's long kimono (or Yukata), cream, light pink and green floral print, with matching obi (that has been theatrically altered to close and hold in position with hook and eye closures at the back to hold ornament in place), Plain cotton weave fabric with a crepe texture.</p

bathing suit

Men's Navy ribbed knit wool swimsuit with sewn-in shorts, underarm cutouts, maker label says "Wright and Ditson Athletics", 1930s. </p

shoes

white leather slippers with a heel and pink rosette decoration, hand written 'AAA' on sole, stitching around the top edge has come undone leaving holes, heels have some wear and tear damage in fair condition. c1850-1890.</p

shoes

Black or Navy leather heels with fur trim lining around the edge and scrollwork pattern over the top. black lather toe cap. shoe upper is possibly suede with a calico pattern printed on it. 1900-1940s.</p

boots

Cream silk faille fabric lace up boots with leather sole. Note the chevron pattern produced by the construction and interior lining fabric is cotton twill, eyelets are hand finished, cotton string is used a laceing (may not be original)</p

skirt

Beaded Full Length wool skirt with Jet beaded trim down the front and around the hem, generously pleated in the back. c.1890-1900 Missing original waistband, Center front is dipped into a v shape to accommodate bodice which is missing.</p

Shoes

White satin ladies heels with large bow decoration, maker label 'Thayer McNeil and Hodges, 7 temple street Boston', 1850-1890.</p

Cage Crinoline

Bustle era belle shaped cage crinoline, 1870-1880s, thin metal bands covered with cotton tape (with some rust), held in place by wide cotton tape with woven diamond pattern and waistband has maker's information on it stamped in red "Beau Mode Skirt, 20 springs, M. K. Day, Ripton V.T." overall good condition leather binding on the front edge (some of it is coming off because of age) a few of the metal bands are broken (displayed on dress form with bloomers and corset cover from our collection-not a set)</p
