Caminhos de Pedra Attractive ‑ Bento Gonçalves – Rio Grande do Sul: A reflection about the number of visitors in the period 1997‑2011.

O turismo rural é um segmento do turismo que utiliza o espaço da ruralidade como principal atrativo, através das manifestações dos hábitos e costumes de uma determinada cultura. O objeto de estudo foi o Roteiro Caminhos de Pedra, localizado no interior da cidade de Bento Gonçalves, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. No local, o visitante pode conhecer a história dos descendentes de imigrantes italianos e ter contato direto com os moradores locais. O método de investigação se deu através de pesquisa documental do histórico das visitações no roteiro. Os resultados demonstraram que o número de visitantes cresceu consideravelmente desde sua implantação, assim como o número de empreendimentos, demonstrando assim um constante crescimento do Roteiro contribuindo para sua consolidação.Rural tourism is a segment of tourism that uses the spaceof rurality main attraction, through the manifestations of the habits and customs of a particular culture. The object of study was the Caminhos de Pedra Attractive, located in Bento Gonçalves city, at Rio Grande do Sul state. In This local, the visitors can learn about the history of the Italian descendants immigrants and have direct contact with the locals. The research method was through desk research oft hehistoryofvisitations in the local. The results showed that the number of visitors has grown considerably since its was introduce, as well as the number of enterprise, demonstrating a good example of rural tourism done contributing this way to its consolidation

Mayan knowledge systems and Premium Tourism in the Yucatan Peninsula

El artículo introduce al lector en el estudio de los sistemas de conocimiento desarrollados por las culturas mesoamericanas, -particularmente la maya -, su trascendencia histórica y su importancia en la realidad actual en la Península de Yucatán, México. Mediante la conjunción de investigaciones arqueológicas, etnográficas y ecológicas se analizan diversas actividades realizadas por los herederos de este conocimiento, como la recolección de sal, el aprovechamiento forestal o la celebración de ceremonias religiosas mayas en la región del sitio arqueológico de Xcambó, en la costa del Estado de Yucatán. También se exponen los daños patrimoniales causados por el auge actual de la industria turística en la península, mediante el análisis del impacto que el desarrollo turístico residencial Flamingo Lakes Golf and Country ClubResort tiene en el patrimonio cultural y natural de las comunidades costeras cercanas a Xcambó.This article introduces the reader in the study of knowledge systems developed by Mesoamerican cultures –particularly by the Mayan culture -, in their historical transcendence and their importance in actual Mexico´s Yucatán Peninsula reality. Archaeological, ethnographical and ecological research are taken as a whole to analyze diverse activities performed by the heirs of this knowledge, such as salt gathering, forest use or Mayan religious ceremonies in the region of the archaeological site of Xcambó, in Yucatán State´s coast. The article also states heritage damages caused by the actual rise of tourism industry in Yucatán Peninsula, trough the analysis of the impact that the touristic and residential development Flamingo Lakes Golf and Country Club Resort has in cultural and natural heritage of coastal communities nearby Xcamb

Cultura gaúcha: a percepção dos frequentadores da XXIX Semana Frroupilha do CTG Nova Querência - Boa Vista - Roraima

The gaucho culture is in a constant process of (re)construction which corroborates the process dynamics of cultures. The Gaucho Tradition Centers (CTGs) became independent of the state where they are located an area of valuation of gaucho culture, becoming a space of integration and cultural exchange, where anyone can have contact with the gaucha culture. The aim of the event was to study the Farroupilha’s Week held at CTG New Querencia (Boa Vista/RR) in order to identify the perception of their regulars when the gaucho culture. 124 interviews were administered and subjects were divided into two categories: Gauchos and not Gauchos. The results showed that the recovery of traditionalism emphasized on the perception of the gaucho culture, for both categories of the surveyA cultura gaúcha encontra-se em um constante processo de (re)construção o que corrobora com o processo de dinamicidade das culturas. Os Centros de Tradições Gaúchas (CTGs) se tornaram um espaço de valorização da cultura gaúcha, independente do Estado onde estejam localizados, tornando-se um espaço de integração e trocas culturais, onde qualquer pessoa pode ter contato com a cultura sul-rio-grandense. O objetivo do artigo foi estudar o evento da Semana Farroupilha realizado no CTG Nova Querência (Boa Vista/RR), a fim de identificar a percepção dos seus frequentadores quando a cultura gaúcha. Foram aplicadas 124 entrevistas e os indivíduos foram divididos em duas categorias: Gaúchos e Não Gaúchos. Os resultados demonstraram que a valorização do tradicionalismo destacouse na percepção da cultura gaúcha, por ambas as categorias do universo da pesquisa
