    Get PDF
This chapter describes the design and development of broadband slotted waveguide array (SWA) antenna. Conventional SWA antenna offers a few percentages of bandwidth, which can be enhanced using proposed novel differential feeding technique which electrically divides large resonating SWA into wideband subarrays by creating virtual shorts. This chapter discusses concepts to achieve broadband nature of SWA antennas, design, development, and characterization of edge fed slotted waveguide array antenna, coupling slot fed SWA antenna, and high efficiency broadband slotted waveguide array. The developed SWA antennas are characterized and their measured results are presented. The developed prototype of proposed SWA antenna demonstrates measured return loss better than −17 dB over 7.6% bandwidth and achieves 90.2% antenna efficiency. This chapter also briefs about planar broadband SWA antenna and its prototype development and characterization

Cloud computing now a day’s provides numerous number of benefits to their users. As the Cloud infrastructure is not directly under control of user its seems to be difficult for user to have a better security. Other side as the number of user grow even it become more difficult to manage a data such a way that user needs for any data are satisfied efficiently. There are lots of chances to misuse the data of user. So, here Cloud providers need to balance this two fundamental of Privacy handling and efficient analysis of data together is become very important. When we talk about the health records of patient or medical firm and available on remote machine issue of privacy of record provided by the anonymization fundamental. Here various researcher provided a technique T- Closeness to achieve this goal. It also important to provide the security of stored data using obfuscation mechanism . Some time full obfuscation of file consume more time so many researcher provided scheme of attribute based obfuscation which lessen the burden of Cloud server by providing adequate security and also help to execute user query faster. In this paper we aim to provide survey on various fundamental given by the different researcher

A rare case report of ovarian torsion with sigmoid volvulus

    Get PDF
Ovarian torsion results from twisting of the ovary about the suspensory ligament, which contains the ovarian artery and vein, lymphatic’s, and nerves. Volvulus is a torsion of a segment of the alimentary tract, that often leads to intestinal obstruction. Ovarian torsion leading to sigmoid volvulus is the rarest complication which authors found in this case. Hence the case was presented. A 28-year-old women presented with acute pain in abdomen since 14 hours, followed by 2 episodes of vomiting, abdominal distension since 10 hours. Plain X-ray Abdomen erect was done which showed ‘Coffee bean’ sign with multiple air fluid levels suggestive of sigmoid volvulus. On laparotomy, after opening the peritoneum, large right ovarian cyst around 12×11×10 cm with solid and haemorrhagic content with long pedicle around 8 cm with 3 turns of torsion was noted. Abutting the ovarian mass, sigmoid colon was seen twisted around its mesentery including the twisted ovarian pedicle. Hence, the twisted component included the twisted ovarian pedicle and twisted sigmoid mesentery. Stepwise detorsion of ovarian pedicle followed by oophorectomy was done. For sigmoid volvulus, resection of vascular compromised sigmoid colon and descending colon stoma was done. Reanastomosis was done later after 3 months post operatively

Pyogenic liver abscess during pregnancy is an extremely rare condition. Although rare, in situations of sepsis or septic shock in pregnancy, as well as the common sources of infection, a possibility of a liver abscess should be considered. We present a case report of 32-year-old primigravida 37.3 weeks by date, 37 weeks by scan with breech presentation with premature rupture of membranes and pain in abdomen since 12 hours with breathlessness, fever and diarrhoea since 2 days came in emergency to study hospital. General condition of the patient on arrival was pulse-140 beats per minute, blood pressure was 90/60 mmHg, respiratory rate was 40/min, on per abdominal examination, breech presentation with fetal heart rate of 150 beats per minute on doppler was noted. Per vaginal examination revealed cervical os 5 cm dilated, 40% effacement, breech presentation, absent membranes. With urgent report of complete hemogram and acid blood gas analysis, metabolic acidosis was noted which was corrected and patient was taken for emergency lower segment caesarean section. Intra-operative, 250 ml greenish pus flakes fluid was noted inside the abdominal cavity. Fluid was drained and sent for culture sensitivity with maximum aseptic precautions, uterus was opened, baby was delivered followed by uterus closure. Ruptured liver abscess 6×4×2 cm in 2nd and 3rd segment of liver was noted, abdominal wash with antibiotics and NS was given, drain was kept. Appropriate antibiotics were started and was discharged on day 14 after suture removal

Prediction of cold flow properties of Biodiesel

    Get PDF
Biodiesel being environmentally friendly is fast gaining acceptance in the market as an alternate diesel fuel. But compared to petroleum diesel it has certain limitations and thus it requires further development on economic viability and improvement in its properties to use it as a commercial fuel. The cold flow properties play a major role in the usage of biodiesel commercially as it freezes at cold climatic conditions. In the present study, cold flow properties of various types of biodiesel were estimated by using correlations available in literature. The correlations were evaluated based on the deviation between the predicted value and experimental values of cold flow properties

The present experimental work was done to check the performance enhancement in distillate productivity between CSS and MSS in climatic conditions of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India (23.21° N, 72.63° E). In modified solar still (MSS) fins, evacuated tubes and newly designed zig-zag shape air-cooled condenser were attached. An MSS was prepared to achieve the higher temperature in water inside the basin and maintain a lower temperature of glass cover than CSS. The highest obtained water temperature and temperature of inner glass cover for CSS and MSS were 63.75 °C & 69.21 °C and 54.37 °C & 54.93 °C separately. Modified solar still gives around 6 °C higher water temperature by maintaining the same inner glass cover temperature as CSS. The maximum distillate output for CSS and MSS was 2.26 kg/m2 and 3.92 kg/m2, respectively. It gives 73.45% of higher productivity than CSS. In a thermal analysis of a system, higher fractional exergy evaporation could be achieved for MSS. Also, in the still with different modifications, higher thermal efficiency was obtained. In cost analysis, the water achieved for CSS and MSS were 0.013 and 0.015 USD/L, respectively. Exergo-economic and exergo-environmental analysis for MSS shows that the modified system was highly beneficial from economic point of view and generation of less carbon value by CO2 mitigation.Kishor Kumar Sadasivuni: Supervision, Project administration, Acquisition of the financial support for the project leading to this publication.Scopu
