The study on the calculation of the amount of cerebral natriuretic peptide involved 96 outpatients with diastolic chronic heart failure (CHF) and a preserved left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction (EF) and a control group of 50 practically healthy people. The level of the N-terminal fragment of the cerebral natriuretic peptide in the blood serum was determined using a test system (Vectorbest, Russia). Its concentration in patients was 108.18 ± 21.64 pg/ml compared with the control of 7.6 ± 1.38 pg/ml. A positive correlation was found between the concentration of the hormone and the area of the left atrium (r = 0.35), E/e’LV indicators (r = 0.6), and LV systolic volume (r = 0.48). The level had no connection with FC CHF (r = 0.23) as well as with the stage of CHF (r = 0.23). Thus, patients with diastolic heart failure and preserved PV in 67% of cases had a level of cerebral natriuretic peptide in the blood below the diastolic thresholdВ исследовании о подсчёте количества мозгового натрийуретического пептида участвовали 96 амбулаторных пациентов с диастолической хронической сердечной недостаточностью (ХСЧ) и сохраненной фракцией выброса (ФВ) левого желудочка (ЛЖ) и контрольная группа из 50 практически здоровых людей.

Cerium oxide (CeO2) nanoparticles present an interesting material for various applications in biotechnology and medicine. The mechanism of CeO2 nanoparticles biological activity is supposed to be related to the presence both Ce3+ and Ce4+ ions on the surface of the nanocrystal. We studied and compared the catalytic activity of CeO2 nanoparticles synthesized by chemical and physical methods. The cerium oxide was found to demonstrate catalase-like and peroxidase activity. CeO2 nanoparticles obtained by a chemical method showed more pronounced catalytic properties. In addition, this material catalyzed the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide by the enzyme horseradish peroxidase. © NANOCON 2019.All right reserved. This work was supported by the Russian Science Foundation, project no. 18-72-00041.
