Physiological basis for allelopathic potential of different wheat cultivars in heading period on the Loess Plateau of China
The relationship between fluorescence kinetics and allelopathic expression of four winter-wheat ecotypes in heading period was discussed. With the breeding history from No. 1 Bima, No. 3 Fengchan, No. 1 Ningdong to No 22 Xiaoyan and agronomic properties of winter wheat like thousand seed weight and yield, etc increased gradually. Meanwhile, allelopathic potential was also enhanced. It was explained well by physiological basis of fluorescence kinetics. Fm' and F was induced to increase, furthermore, photosynthesis system PSII would be expressed superiorly under arid press. Significant relationship among growth traits, florescence kinetics and allelopathic potential was discovered. Three kinds of parameters like yield, chlorophyll and allelopathic potential of winter wheat in heading period formed a complex network system. So, allelopathy variation was mainly determined and regulated by the presumed net system in plants. It is important in screening and breeding of allelopathic crops cultivars, including development of sustainable agriculture.Key words: Allelopathy trait, fluorescence kinetics, Triticum aestivum L., dryland farming, network system
Who Will Buy in the Next Visit?
Increased propensity of consumers directly visiting the e-commerce website is the most prominent effect of display advertising. Therefore, understanding consumers’ directed revisit behaviors is important for advertisers to arrange their advertising delivering activity. In this paper, authors used an e-commerce website’s consumers browsing data and advertising clicking data to examine the relationship between consumers’ previous shopping behaviors and their direct revisit. Besides, they also consider the visit channels (i.e., direct visit, generic advertising, and retargeting advertising). The results show that for consumers entering the website through different channels, their previous behaviors have different effect on the probability of revising directly in the future. The findings extend previous direct visit studies and can help website to advertise
INFORMATION SYSTEMS RESEARCH IN CHINESE UNIVERSITIES: AN EXAMINATION OF THE INPUT SIDE
Along with the rapid growth of the Chinese economy over the past decades, information systems (IS) research in China has undergone a profound transformation. This exploratory study reports on a survey involving 107 university researchers, focusing on the input aspects of IS research and how institutional factors affect the input. In this paper, input mainly refers to research activities, effort, methods and reference disciplines. Data show researchers are withdrawing from IS development projects, while increasing their effort in academic research. Compared to the past, IS research topics are now more aligned to the international mainstream. A major hurdle for empirical research is the lack of familiarities with empirical research methodology, as indicated by nearly half of the respondents. Effort in academic research tends to correlate with the researchers\u27 income scheme, i.e., sources and proportion of base salary and benefits in their overall income. However, surprisingly, emphasis on quality of publication has not significantly influenced researchers\u27 effort yet, nor has the increased degree of internationalization affected the selection of research methods and the shift to empirical research. The underlying reasons are explored, and implications are also discussed
Electrochemical behavior of lansoprazole at a multiwalled carbon nanotubes-ionic liquid modified glassy carbon electrode and its electrochemical determination
The electrochemical behavior of lansoprazole (LNS) has been investigated at a
glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and the electrode modified by a gel containing
multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and an room-temperature ionic liquid
(RTIL) of 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIMPF6) in 0.10
M phosphate buffer solution of pH 6.8. It was found that an irreversible
anodic oxidation peak with Epa as 1.060 V appeared at MWCNTs-RTIL/GCE. Under
the optimized experimental conditions a linear calibration curve were
obtained over the concentration range from 5.0 ÎĽM to 0.20 mM by differential
pulse voltammetry with the limit of detection (LOD, S/N = 3) as 0.28 ÎĽM. In
addition, the novel MWCNTs-RTIL/GCE was also characterized by the
electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and the proposed method has been
successfully applied in the electrochemical quantitative determination of
LNS content in commercial tablet samples and the determination results could
meet the determination requirement
