On the basis of the facts summarized above, the application of the additives is rational, when the technology of supplement can be supervised. And the recovery of dust content from the flue gas has been elucidated, otherwise the disadvantageous offset the benefits expected

NOx AND SO2 EMISSIONS OF HUNGARIAN ELECTRIC POWER PLANT BOILERS

    Get PDF
Coal fuelled power stations are responsible for about the half of SO2 emission in Hungary. Specific emission values may be 5 to 10 times the ultimate value admitted in the FRG. Introduction of various desulfurization attachment methods has to be endeavoured in coal fired power stations. The share of Hungarian power stations in NOx emission is some lower, about a quarter. The high specific NOx emission attributable to firing methods (construction) is of importance especially for gas firing. Introduction of (primary) firing methods has to be endeavoured, to prevent NOx formation

STRESS COMPUTATION ALGORITHM FOR TEMPERATURE DEPENDENT NON-LINEAR KINEMATIC HARDENING MODEL

In this work, we derive a stress algorithm for a non-linear kinematic hardening model. The algorithm is implemented in a FEM code. On a simple shear test, we compare the numerical results with the analytical ones

Requirements of the gas engines considering the use of biogases

    Get PDF
In the present publication we are examining the requirements of biogases needed by gas engines. Szolnok University College Technical and Agricultural Faculty as well as Budapest University of Technology and Economics are the two main bases of the research. In the course of our research work, of all the potentially available biogases we chose those ones that seem optimal to operate engines - on the grounds of gas production and methane production. The reasons of our choosing are based on the relatively high energy content, the maximum quantity yield, and the as constant output and quality as possible. In the course of the utilization in the internal combustion engine (in biogas engine) we collected some information on what effects the biogases produced by different kinds of recipes have on the operation of the gas engines, the efficiency and performance with special regards to the emission

Energetic utilisation of biogases in IC engines

Due to increasing energy demand from the human population and in order to keep the development sustainable there is a major need to utilize alternative energy sources. The use of biogases as a source of renewable energy for combined heat and power generation could provide an effective and alternative way to fulfil remarkable part of this energy demand as a possible solution of decentralized power generation. Therefore the role of utilization of biogases grows rapidly in Europe and all around the world. As biogases have a high inert content, their heating value is low. The energetic utilization of these low heating value renewable gaseous fuels is not fully worked out yet because their combustion characteristics differ significantly from those of natural gases, and in this way they are not usable or their utilization in conventional devices is limited. At the Department of Energy Engineering of BME in cooperation with the Szolnok University College Technical and Agricultural Faculty investigation was made to d etermine the energetic usability of biogases. At Szolnok University experiments were made to increase the quantity and quality of biogas produced from different kind of basic materials and mixtures and at the Department of Energy Engineering of Budapest University of Technology and Economics the IC Engine utilization of biogases was investigated. The power, efficiency, consumption and exhaust emission were measured and in-cylinder pressure data acquisition was made to determine the pressure and heat release in the cylinder at various engine working conditions and CO_2 contents

DIESEL ENGINE SMOKE AND THE UNO-EEC CHECKING REGULATION No. 24

    Get PDF
It was studied whether the actual smoke exhaust by Diesei wehicle engines - is it that in steady-state or in unsteady-state operation at free acceleration, or does it differ from either? Smoke values obtained in steady-state operation are in themselves not typical of those in unsteady-state operation (e. g. urban traffic). No direct relationship can be found between smoke values in either operation. To check real (unsteady-state) smoke exhaust, Diesel engines have to be cycle tested - similar as for Qtto engines

Robotical Handling of Polyurethane Foams with Needle Grippers

    Get PDF
The handling of non-rigid materials implicates different problems than handling usual rigid parts. The soft polyurethane foam is widely used in the production of car seats. Automating the handling of these materials requires special gripping methods. In this paper we focus on the needle gripping method. This method is based on a set of needles penetrating into the foam and lifting the foam by using the frictional force between the needles and the foam. A mechanical model is proposed for the calculation of the force needed to pull out a needle from a foam part. The theory is based on continuum mechanics and fractal geometry. The theory is then compared with the test values and measured results. A method for the principle of designing a needle gripper is also presented and explained on a newly developed gripper
