GR-405 Boosting Clickbait Detection through Semantic Insights and Attention-Driven Neural Network
The digital age has witnessed an explosion of online content, making it increasingly challenging for users to differentiate between reliable information and clickbait, which is often misleading or sensationalized. Clickbait contributes to the spread of misinformation, phishing attacks, and illegal marketing practices, and manipulates users’ decisions. Even from a business standpoint a clickbait might not lead to a conversion, A user might land on the page by following a clickbait and get frustrated and close the page. Additionally, with the increase in the usage of large language models for content writing it is even more challenging for the general user to differentiate between clickbait and genuine content. As a result, clickbait detection has become an important research topic. Existing clickbait detection models often work on rule-based techniques which lack the nuanced understanding of human semantic knowledge, making them vulnerable to sophisticated clickbait techniques
Review on Performance Analysis of Fire Tube Boilers
Boilers in which hot flue gasses flow inside the tubes and water is surrounded by the tubes, thereby heat interaction taking place are called fire tube boilers. One of the most important performance factors that we know is the thermal efficiency of the boiler. So, the boiler is to be designed in such a way that there should be minimum heat losses through exhaust gases, and fully insulated boiler drum and minimum thermal resistance between heat transfer surfaces. The boiler auxiliaries such as the economizer, air preheater, superheater, heat recovery parts must be included. Consumers expect new and custom designs, so there is a need to change in design aspects and to increase the efficiency of the boiler
Role of Residual Stresses on Mechanical Properties of Obsidian: Naturally Occurring Glass
Obsidian is a natural glass that is formed by the rapid cooling of viscous lava. Obsidian's mechanical properties in structure mechanics are visible in aspects such as fracture pattern, elastic modulus, hardness and fracture toughness when compared to soda lime glass. Obsidian forms sharper edges than any best surgical steel can do. The reason for the sharpness is speculated because of its structure and the way it fractures. Being an igneous rock, obsidian illustrates conchoidal fracture. As this natural glass cools very rapidly, the residual stresses in obsidian affects the way in which it fractures. This research is focused on studying the effect of residual stresses in obsidian and understanding the consequence of thermal annealing on the mechanical properties of obsidian. Results from nanoindentation show that obsidian has a higher hardness compared to soda-lime glass. Microstructures of obsidian and soda lime glass are also compared. The presence of alumina in obsidian, allows obsidian to have less non-bridging oxygen than soda-lime glass. Thermal annealing of obsidian shows an increase in apparent elastic modulus and hardness around Tg measured from nanoindentation experiments. This apparent increase is speculated because of the presence of residual stresses in obsidian.Mechanical Engineerin
A Scientific Review on Polyphenols Found in Different Fruits in India and Their Health Impact on Humans
Polyphenols are phytochemicals found in various plant-based foods, including fruits, vegetables, and nuts. They have been associated with numerous health benefits, including anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-diabetic effects. In India, understanding the polyphenol content of seasonal fruits is essential due to the potential health benefits associated with their consumption. Several studies have analyzed the polyphenol content of various fruits, such as grapes, guavas, mangoes, pomegranates, and amla. The results have shown that the polyphenol content varies among fruits depending on factors such as ripeness, growing conditions, and method of extraction. A diet rich in polyphenols has been suggested to help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. Therefore, identifying the polyphenol content of seasonal fruits in India can aid in promoting healthier food choices and potentially preventing chronic diseases
A new antibacterial imidazole from the marine sponge Iricinia fusca
A new imidazole alkaloid (1) along with two known compounds, variabilin (2) and iricinialactam A (3) have been isolated from the Arabian marine sponge Ircinia fusca. The structure of the new compound was established as 4-((1, 2-dihydroxy-5-(methyl (1-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-yl) amino) pentan-3-yl) oxy)-3, 5-dimethoxy-1-methylpyrrolidin-2-one (1) by 1D and 2D NMR, and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESIMS). Compound 1 exhibited selective growth inhibitory activity against gram-positive bacteria S. aureus at 100 µg/mL
