We research especially the behavioral pattern of the user regarding the openings of the door and we prove that there are obvious relations between the pattern and some specific features, such as day of the week and hours of the day

    Innovative Platform for Designing Hybrid Collaborative & Context-Aware Data Mining Scenarios

    The process of knowledge discovery involves nowadays a major number of techniques. Context-Aware Data Mining (CADM) and Collaborative Data Mining (CDM) are some of the recent ones. the current research proposes a new hybrid and efficient tool to design prediction models called Scenarios Platform-Collaborative & Context-Aware Data Mining (SP-CCADM). Both CADM and CDM approaches are included in the new platform in a flexible manner; SP-CCADM allows the setting and testing of multiple configurable scenarios related to data mining at once. The introduced platform was successfully tested and validated on real life scenarios, providing better results than each standalone technique-CADM and CDM. Nevertheless, SP-CCADM was validated with various machine learning algorithms-k-Nearest Neighbour (k-NN), Deep Learning (DL), Gradient Boosted Trees (GBT) and Decision Trees (DT). SP-CCADM makes a step forward when confronting complex data, properly approaching data contexts and collaboration between data. Numerical experiments and statistics illustrate in detail the potential of the proposed platform.Comment: 15 figure

    A SYSTEM FOR REMOTE MONITORING OF THE HUMAN BODY PARAMETERS

    We present an invention (pending patent number A 201100939) related to a system that monitors human body parameters, such as heart rate and blood pressure, and when they are out of the regular range, it transmits a remote warning signal along with the GPS coordinates of the patient to the special intervention services, or to the tutors, so that they can take action in the shortest time. The most important aspect of the system is its mobility, the patient being able to live her normal life, not having to stay in a fix perimeter, as it is the case for most monitoring equipments. The scope of the invention is the health of people, both individually and at the institutions involved in health insurance, such as clinics, hospitals, emergency services, rescue, SMURD, social settlements, etc

We conclude that they are on the right track, good devices, however, are still in an incipient, before the market stage and need a lot of technical (both hardware and software) improvements to be up to the needs of the real market

    <p><strong>Purpose –</strong> Our paper looks into the main characteristics of modern CRMs and analyze the implementation stage and immediate effect analysis in 10 diverse Romanian SMEs in a post COVID-19 world.</p><p><strong>Methodology/approach – </strong>The research team conducted a semi structured questionnaire with 10 executive managers and used personal observations, through studying the reactions before and after CRM implementation.</p><p><strong>Research limitations/implications – </strong>Only SME's which implemented the AIDA CRM solution since 2019 were selected as case studies, so that the interviewed managers have a fresher perspective on post-implementation organizational changes and the immediate effects of CRM implementation during the pandemic.</p><p><strong>Practical implications – </strong>Modern CRMs have the ability to increase business profitability and streamline workflows, automating various tasks and achieving team synergies, in order to increase organizational performance and efficiency.</p><p><strong>Originality/value – </strong>The current research gap, considered a missing piece in the research literature, is the area that determines the process and benefits of implementing a modern CRM for Romanian SMEs. Therefore, through this scientific paper we analyzed the determinants of a modern CRM implementation and analyze the immediate benefits in 10 Romanian SME's, each operating in a different field of activity.</p&gt

    The Innovative Use of Intelligent Chatbot for Sustainable Health Education Admission Process: Learnt Lessons and Good Practices

    This article presents the methodology of creation of an innovative used by intelligent chatbots which support the admission process in universities. The lifecycle of the ontology, unlike the classical lifecycles, has six stages: conceptualization, formalization, development, testing, production and maintenance. This leads to sustainability of the chatbot, called Ana, which has been implemented at the “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Cluj-Napoca during the admission session throughout July–September 2022, for international candidates. The sustainability of the chatbot comes from the continuous maintenance and updates of the ontology, based on candidates’ interraction with the system and updates of the admission procedures. Over time, the chatbot is able to answer the questions according to the present situation of the admission and the real needs of the candidates. Ana had a huge impact, succeeding to resolve a number of 5173 applicants requests, and only 809 messages was transferred to the human operators, statistics which show a high cost-benefit improvement in terms of reducing the travel expenses for the candidates and also for the university.     The Risk of Generating Technical Debt Interest: A Case Study

    Technical Debt (TD) interest refers to the extra maintenance costs incurred by the very existence of TD items in a system. The generation of TD interest can make or break a system: too little interest and the effect of TD is negligible; too much interest and the system becomes unsustainable. In this paper, we consider the generation of interest as a risk and present a metric to quantify this risk. Subsequently, we validate this metric in two ways. First, we explore whether the metric can be effectively used to prioritize TD remediation. Second, we investigate if adding new code reduces the risk of interest generation. The results of the study suggest that: (a) the proposed risk management metric is capable of efficiently prioritizing TD items; and (b) that the new code that is introduced in the system is usually less risky for producing interest, compared to legacy code
