Bifurcation analysis in an associative memory model
We previously reported the chaos induced by the frustration of interaction in
a non-monotonic sequential associative memory model, and showed the chaotic
behaviors at absolute zero. We have now analyzed bifurcation in a stochastic
system, namely a finite-temperature model of the non-monotonic sequential
associative memory model. We derived order-parameter equations from the
stochastic microscopic equations. Two-parameter bifurcation diagrams obtained
from those equations show the coexistence of attractors, which do not appear at
absolute zero, and the disappearance of chaos due to the temperature effect.Comment: 19 page
Energetics and electronic structures of polymeric all-benzene hollow-cages and planar networks
We studied the energetics and electronic structure of polymerized benzene hollow-cages and sheet using the density functional theory with the generalized gradient approximation. The energetics and electronic structure of the polymeric benzene cages and sheet depend on their size and dimensionality. Because of the symmetric network topology as well as the constituent benzene units, the cages possess highly bunched states around the Fermi level. The energy gap between the highest occupied and the lowest unoccupied states of the cages is approximately proportional to their curvature, owing to the decrease of the strain. The polymerized benzene sheet is a direct gap semiconductor with the gap of 2.4 eV between the less dispersive states of the highest branch of the valence and the lowest branch of the conduction bands
Asymptotic density of states in 2d CFTs with non-invertible symmetries
It is known that the asymptotic density of states of a 2d CFT in an
irreducible representation of a finite symmetry group is
proportional to . We show how this statement can be generalized
when the symmetry can be non-invertible and is described by a fusion category
. Along the way, we explain what plays the role of a
representation of a group in the case of a fusion category symmetry; the answer
to this question is already available in the broader mathematical physics
literature but not yet widely known in hep-th. This understanding immediately
implies a selection rule on the correlation functions, and also allows us to
derive the asymptotic density.Comment: 42 pages; v2: minor revisio
Effective Single Twymeeg Administration for Elderly Patient with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D), Arthralgia and Depression as Common Medical Problems
Background: Imeglimin (Twymeeg) has been effective for patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D).
Case Presentation: The patient is an 82-year-old female with T2D, arthralgia, and depression.
Results: She was given duloxetine hydrochloride (Cymbalta) and Twymeeg, leading to improved symptoms of low back pain (LBP), knee osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, depression, and possible mild cognitive impairment (MCI). HbA1c decreased from 8.8% to 7.1% for 4 months with a single administration of Twymeeg 2000mg/day.
Discussion: In recent clinical practice, elderly cases often tend to have simultaneously these problems, which are medical and social crucial problems. Twymeeg and Cymbalta may be indispensable agents for future practice
