The article provides an overview of philosophical and humanitarian approaches to training parents in an inclusive education and the training system itself. The study purpose is to substantiate, develop and test a system for preparing parents of children with disabilities for assistance in the education, based on the humanistic approach and the axiological concept of philosophy. These approaches in the parent training system lead society to the fact that parental competencies should be based on the special education methods, techniques and technologies for educating children with special needs; to predict the result of education and manage the correctional and pedagogical process based on an individual approach to the child. The implementation of the developed system resulted in a high level of parents’ readiness to participate in inclusive children education.

Phase Transformation in UHMWPE Reactor Powders Synthesized on Various Catalysts in Mechanical and Thermal Fields

Nowadays, a solvent-free method for production of high performance fibers directly from ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) reactor powder is being actively developed. It causes the interest in the morphology of the reactor particles and their behavior in thermal and mechanical fields. Changes in the phase composition in virgin particles of ultra-high molecular-weight polyethylene reactor powders and in particles of powders compressed at room temperature under different pressures were studied in real time using synchrotron radiation with heating in the range of 300–370 K. It was found that the content of the monoclinic phase in reactor powders depends on the type of catalyst used for synthesis and on the applied pressure. It is shown that there are monoclinic phases of different nature: a structurally stabilized monoclinic phase formed during synthesis, and a monoclinic phase resulting from plastic deformation during compaction at room temperature. The behavior of these phases in temperature and mechanical fields is compared

Metallic AsSb nanoinclusions strongly enriched by Sb in AlGaAsSb metamaterial

International audienceWe have elucidated the microstructure of Al0.28Ga0.72As0.972Sb0.028 metamaterial containing a developed array of AsSb nanoinclusions. The AlGaAsSb films were grown by low-temperature molecular-beam epitaxy followed by high-temperature postgrowth thermal treatment. The process resulted in an array of self-organized AsSb nanoinclusions with an average diameter of 15 nm (after annealing at 750 °C), which occupied about 0.003 of the volume of the crystalline AlGaAsSb matrix. The nanoinclusions were found to have an A7-type rhombohedral microstructure and contained a very high concentration of antimony that exceeded 90%, whereas the Sb content in the AlGaAsSb matrix was 2.8 at. %. The strong enrichment of the inclusion with Sb resulted from the local thermodynamic equilibrium between the solid AlGaAsSb matrix and the As0.1Sb0.9 inclusions that became liquid at an annealing temperature of 750 °C. The inclusion-matrix orientation relationship was established to be (003)p || {111}m and [2¯110]p || 〈220〉m, similar to that for pure As precipitates in low-temperature grown GaAs despite a rather large difference in particle lattice constants and the c/a ratio. The increased inclusion-matrix lattice mismatch resulted in the generation of (001) prismatic dislocation loops associated with the inclusions bigger than 8.5 nm in diameter. The Burgers vector of the dislocation was determined as b = amatrix[001]. The established microstructural and compositional features create an opportunity to specify plasmonic resonance conditions in the low-temperature grown AlGaAsSb metamaterial

Dependence of the efficiency of III-N blue LEDs on the structural perfection of GaN epitaxial buffer layers

cited By 2International audienceIII-N blue LED structures with active regions based on InGaN nanoislands are studied. The structures are grown by metalorganic vapor-phase epitaxy (MOVPE) on GaN layers deposited by various methods for the initial formation of an epitaxial layer. It is shown that, due to strong carrier localization in narrow-gap InGaN nanoislands, the electroluminescence efficiency is independent of the crystal perfection of the material

AlGaAsSb and AlGaAs films as thick as 1 μm with Al content as high as 60% were successfully grown by low-temperature (200 °C) MBE. To overcome the well-known problem of growth disruption due to a high aluminum content and a low growth temperature, we applied intermittent growth with the temperature elevation to smooth out the emerging roughness of the growth front. Post-growth annealing of the obtained material allowed us to form a developed system of As or AsSb nanoinclusions, which occupy 0.3–0.6% of the material volume. While the As nanoinclusions are optically inactive, the AsSb nanoinclusions provide a strong optical absorption near the band edge of the semiconductor matrix due to the Fröhlich plasmon resonance. Owing to the wider bandgap of the grown Al0.6Ga0.4As0.97Sb0.03 compound, we have expanded the spectral range available for studying the Fröhlich plasmon resonance. The grown metamaterial represents an optically active medium of which the formation process is completely compatible with the epitaxial growth technology of semiconductors

X-ray determination of threading dislocation densities in GaN/Al<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>(0001) films grown by metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy

cited By 13International audienceDensities of a- and a+c-type threading dislocations for a series of GaN films grown in different modes by metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy are determined from the x-ray diffraction profiles in skew geometry. The reciprocal space maps are also studied. Theory of x-ray scattering from crystals with dislocations is extended in order to take into account contribution from both threading and misfit dislocations. The broadening of the reciprocal space maps along the surface normal and the rotation of the intensity distribution ellipse is attributed to misfit dislocations at the interface. We find that the presence of a sharp AlN/GaN interface leads to an ordering of misfit dislocations and reduces strain inhomogeneity in GaN films

A New Approach to Estimating the Parameters of Structural Formations in HDPE Reactor Powder

The morphology of virgin reactor powder (RP) of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with MW = 160,000 g/mol was investigated using DSC, SEM, SAXS, and WAXS methods. The morphological SEM analysis showed that the main morphological units of RP are macro- and micro-shish-kebab structures with significantly different geometric dimensions, as well as individual lamellae of folded chain crystals. A quantitative analysis of an asymmetric SAXS reflection made it possible to reveal the presence of several periodic morphoses in the RP with long periods ranging from 20 nm to 60 nm, and to correlate them with the observed powder morphology. According to the DSC crystallinity data, the thickness of the lamellae in each long period was estimated. Their surface energy was calculated in the framework of the Gibbs—Thompson theory. The presence of regular and irregular folds on the surface of different shish-kebab lamellae was discussed. The percentage of identified morphoses in the RP was calculated. It has been suggested that the specific structure of HDPE RP is due to the peculiarity of polymer crystallization during suspension synthesis in a quasi-stationary regime, in which local overheating and inhomogeneous distribution of shear stresses in a chemical reactor are possible
