    The Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) emerges as a justification for problems in schooling, often resulting from a quick and superficial evaluation. The variation in the number of ADHD reports between 2015 and 2020 in public schools was investigated, showing an increase of 594%. The biologizing conception of ADHD is questioned, the consequence of which is medicalization. It proposes the development of attention and voluntary control of behavior in the set of psychological functions. The importance of planning based on the cultural-historical conception is pointed out, as well as the urgency of public investment in teacher qualification.El Trastorno por Déficit de Atención con Hiperactividad (TDAH) surge como justificación de los problemas en la escolarización, siendo muchas veces el resultado de una evaluación rápida y superficial. Se investigó la variación en el número de reportes de TDAH, entre 2015 y 2020, en escuelas públicas, observándose un aumento del 594%. Se cuestiona la concepción biológica del TDAH, cuya consecuencia es la medicalización. Se propone el desarrollo de la atención y el control voluntario de la conducta en el conjunto de funciones psicológicas.     La ricerca fornisce un contributo agli studi inerenti la relazione tra rappresentazione di sé e creatività nella prima adolescenza. Hanno partecipato alla ricerca 160 soggetti (età media =13 anni) frequentanti l’ultimo anno di scuole medie inferiori della Campania. Sono stati utilizzati due strumenti self-report per la valutazione delle dimensioni della rappresentazione di sé (SPP, Harter 1998) e della creatività (TPC, Williams, 1993). I risultati emersi forniscono un tassello interessante alla comprensione delle relazioni tra le dimensioni considerate. Da un punto di vista generale, sembra che il valore personale globale, cui corrisponde una valutazione positiva della propria persona, oltre che al sentirsi accettati e apprezzati dagli altri, sia legato a caratteristiche personali inerenti le dimensioni della creatività prese in esame

    Integrated Ecosystem Design: An Evaluation Model to Support the Choice of Eco-Compatible Technological Solutions for Residential Building

    The technological components regarding building cladding are designed for ensuring thermo-hygrometric comfort conditions within habitable spaces and realising smart buildings. Often the solutions adopted are identified referring only to the characteristics of mechanical and energy materials without considering the ecological–environmental properties in an urban context. Thus, it is appropriate to choose technological components not only according to material type, but also ecological aspects pursued through presence and/or structured integration of natural elements. The technical-design forms based on “building–nature” integration allows, on one hand, the sustainable soil use with multiple benefits (ecosystem services) that natural systems produce, on the other hand, the identification of technological solutions sized referring environmental quality levels achieved through appropriate natural species use. In this way, it can be obtained lower buildings investment and maintenance costs, and greater energetic–environmental benefits. So, it is proposed an evaluation protocol for settlement transformation interventions structured considering environmental effects obtained with Nature-Based Solutions (NBSs) into the project. According to ecological–environmental quality level achieved with NBSs, the technological component is sized according to preliminary design parameters (noise reduction and solar irradiation degree) obtained through NBSs. The total performance level of technological solutions is expressed using Economic–Environmental Indicators. The protocol is tested on social housing case in Anagnina district of Rome (Italy)

    A Systematic Review of the Existing Literature for the Evaluation of Sustainable Urban Projects

    From the 21st century to the present(2021), a worldwide awareness that cities’ development must be based on projects for socio-economic growth and environmental protection is increasing. World governmental agencies and the European Union have suggested action strategies for the construction of «prototype cities» whose value must be founded on the inclusion and/or preservation of anthropic-natural elements and their effects on territories. In order to minimize the theoretical– practical gap between planning and project design with a view to sustainable development and the evaluation of their performance from economic, social and environmental points of view, the present contribution aims to outline a framework useful for systematizing the main scientific contributions concerning sustainability and the evaluation of urban transformation projects. The objective is pursued by analyzing bibliographic references with specific regard to the use of logical-operative methodologies used to rationalize the processes of interventions’ evaluation and selection. The task of examining the available literature is carried out with an investigation protocol of four sequential steps. From the implementation of the last one, the evidence expressing the heterogeneity of the examples in the literature is described. Accordingly, the theoretical-methodological framework for the project evaluation from an urban sustainability perspective is illustrated

    FAMILIARIDADE COM A TAREFA: ATÉ ONDE PODE FAVORECER O DESENVOLVIMENTO COGNITIVO?

    The professional education starts in infancy, since the basic school educationalready comprises some abilities and some knowledge required for the professional areas. Infact, school represents the main institution to mediate the transmission of systematizedknowledge, contributing to the development of the logical thinking. Piaget (1972) states thatthe subjects can develop the formal structures at the endogenous level, although they do not use these structures in the same way. It was thought that the individuals could think in ahypothetical-deductive way in their professions; however, since they are not attending formaleducation anymore, they apparently could not present a hypothetical-deductive thinkingwhen they are required to undertake the Piagetian tasks. For this reason, this study aimed tocarefully investigate this issues by comparing the results found by Szymanski (1983a) in thePiagetian tests, in which 90% of the subjects had been classified at the pre-operational orconcrete operational level, and the performance of the same subjects in the task “Filling outof the Graph Table” related to their activities – therefore, familiar tasks – which demand theformal operational level of thinking for their execution. It was still thought that the subjectscould be at the Formal Operational Stage, under the endogenous viewpoint, but their mentalstructures would be only used operationally, in this sense, in the everyday situations. Themajority of the subjects were classified as GOOD in their performance of the familiar task“Filling out of the Graph Table”, but it was found that low values in the table correspondedto low values in the final score obtained in the Piagetian tests, showing correlation betweenthese two variables (Kendall). In order to investigate this issue more carefully, the heads ofthe Nursing Department of the three biggest hospitals in town were interviewed, and theystated that not all students are skilled for the task “Filling out of the Graph Table” at the endof the course. However, with time and with the supervision of a more experienced attendant(Zone of Proximal Development), all employees can undertake the task successfully.A formação profissional inicia-se na infância, pois a formação escolar básica jácompreende algumas habilidades e conhecimentos a ela necessários. Nesse percurso, a escoladestaca-se como a principal mediadora na transmissão do saber sistematizado, contribuindopara o desenvolvimento do raciocínio lógico. Piaget (1972) afirma que os sujeitos poderiamter desenvolvido as estruturas formais ao nível endógeno, embora não as utilizassemnecessariamente da mesma forma. Assim, os indivíduos poderiam raciocinar de uma maneirahipotético-dedutiva dentro do campo de suas profissões, mas, por estarem afastados doensino regular, ao se defrontarem com as tarefas piagetianas, poderiam aparentemente nãoapresentar um raciocínio hipotético-dedutivo. Pretendeu-se por isso, no presente estudo,investigar melhor essas questões, comparando-se o resultado obtido por Szymanski(1983a)nas provas piagetianas, nas quais 90% dos sujeitos haviam se classificado no nívelpréoperatório ou operatório concreto, com o desempenho dos mesmos sujeitos na tarefa“Preenchimento do Quadro Gráfico” relacionada ao trabalho por eles executado, e portanto,familiar., a qual exige o nível operatório formal de raciocínio para sua consecução. Supunhase,ainda, que os sujeitos poderiam estar no Estádio Operatório Formal, do ponto vistaendógeno, porém suas estruturas mentais só seriam utilizadas operatoriamente nesse sentido,nas situações de vivência diária. A maioria dos sujeitos classificaram-se como BOM, nodesempenho da tarefa familiar “Preenchimento do Quadro Gráfico”, mas constatou-se que avalores baixos no quadro gráfico correspondiam valores baixos quanto ao escore final obtidona provas piagetianas, havendo correlação entre essas duas variáveis( Kendall3).Para investigar melhor essa questão, entrevistaram-se as chefes do Serviço de Enfermagem dostrês hospitais de maior porte na cidade, as quais afirmaram que nem todos os alunosdominam a tarefa ”Preenchimento do Quadro Gráfico” ao final do curso. Mas, com o passardo tempo e a supervisão de outra atendente mais experiente(Zona de DesenvolvimentoProximal), todos os funcionários chegam a realizá-la a contento

    A p-Coumaroyl-CoA Biosensor for Dynamic Regulation of Naringenin Biosynthesis in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

    In vivo biosensors that can convert metabolite concentrations into measurable output signals are valuable tools for high-throughput screening and dynamic pathway control in the field of metabolic engineering. Here, we present a novel biosensor in Saccharomyces cerevisiae that is responsive to p-coumaroyl-CoA, a central precursor of many flavonoids. The sensor is based on the transcriptional repressor CouR from Rhodopseudomonas palustris and was applied in combination with a previously developed malonyl-CoA biosensor for dual regulation of p-coumaroyl-CoA synthesis within the naringenin production pathway. Using this approach, we obtained a naringenin titer of 47.3 mg/L upon external precursor feeding, representing a 15-fold increase over the nonregulated system

    Contributo alla validazione della versione italiana della scala del Social Support di Susan Harter

    Scopo del presente lavoro è proporre una versione italiana della Social Support Scale for adolescents di Susan Harter (1985) e di testarne le proprietà psicometriche. La scala permette di valutare il grado di supporto sociale percepito dal soggetto e la considerazione che sente di riceve da parte di altri significativi. La versione italiana è stata somministrata, in fase di pre-test, a 80 soggetti. I rilievi emersi hanno condotto ad alcuni adattamenti; la versione così ottenuta è stata somministrata ad un campione di 1203 soggetti (11-18 anni). Le analisi statistiche hanno consentito di verificare la consistenza interna e la struttura fattoriale della scala. Tali analisi hanno confermato l’attendibilità e la validità della versione italiana rispetto allo strumento originario. È stato inoltre realizzato un modello di Equazioni Strutturali, al fine di verificare la presenza di una struttura fattoriale sovrapponibile a quella originaria proposta dalla Harter. I rilievi emersi sembrano indicare che anche la versione italiana della scala proposta rappresenta un utile strumento per la comprensione e lo studio del supporto che l’adolescente percepisce di ricevere da parte di altri significativi. SUMMARY. In this paper we aim to propose an Italian version of the Social Support Scale for adolescents of Susan Harter (1985) and to explore its psychometric properties. The Social Support Scale allows to estimate the subject degree of perceived social support and the consideration from significant others. The Italian version was administered, in pre-test phase to 80 subjects. The results lead to some adaptations and this version was administered to a sample of 1203 subjects (11-18 years). The statistical analyses verified the internal consistency and the factorial structure of the Italian version with respect to the structure of the original scale. It was performed a Structural Equations modelling, to assess the properties of factorial structure. These results seem to indicate proposed Italian version of Social Support Scale can be a useful instrument to study the support that the adolescent perceives to receive from significant others

    ISSR markers show differentiation among Italian populations of Asparagus acutifolius L

    BACKGROUND: Asparagus acutifolius L. is a dioecious and native plant species, widely distributed in the Mediterranean Basin. It is known for its fine flavour and could represent an important resource for cultivation programs in desert areas. Few molecular studies have been performed on this species. In the present paper, the ISSR technique was employed to study genetic diversity in Italian A. acutifolius. RESULTS: Twenty-three primers produced a total of 228 polymorphic fragments used to evaluate genetic variation. F(ST )(0.4561) and Theta B (0.4776) values indicate a wide genetic variation among the samples examined. The distance UPGMA tree grouped together the genotypes strictly according to their geographical origin, showing that each sample is genetically structured and can be considered a distinct population. AMOVA analysis further confirmed genetic structuring of the populations. Population-specific fragments were also detected. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that ISSR markers are useful in distinguishing the populations of A. acutifolius according to geographical origin, and confirm the importance of genetic studies for designing germplasm conservation strategies
