Arqueología Virtual y Ciber-Arqueología: la implementación de las nuevas tecnologías en el Campo de Montiel

This paper analyzes through a historiographic perspective the implementation of Virtual and Cyber Archaeology in the Campo de Montiel region. Throughout the extent and execution mode of these new technologies in the region, it is possible to measure its implementation as a powerful registry tool and sociocultural and economic development instrument.Este artículo analiza con fines historiográficos la implementación de la Arqueología Virtual y la Ciber-Arqueología en la Arqueología del Campo de Montiel. A través del grado de presencia y modo de ejecución de estas nuevas tecnologías en la comarca es posible pulsar su implantación así como se muestra una potente herramienta de registro y desarrollo sociocultural y económica básica

UNA HIPÓTESIS VIRTUAL PARA PEÑAFLOR, ALDEA FORTIFICADA DE REPOBLACIÓN MEDIEVAL EN LA SUBMESETA SUR DE LA PENÍNSULA IBÉRICA (A Virtual Hypothesis for Peñaflor, a Fortified Village of Medieval Repopulation in the Southern Sub-Plateau of the Iberian Peninsula)

Se presenta el proceso y resultados de la primera hipótesis virtual del asentamiento medieval de Peñaflor. Las visualizaciones obtenidas aúnan el análisis e interpretación integrada de fuentes escritas, arqueológicas y etnográficas, prospección geofísica y fotogrametría realizada. Se pretende ayudar a comprender y difundir la única aldea fortificada en altura de la repoblación del siglo XIII en la Submeseta Sur de la península ibérica formalmente en estudio; además de incidir en la importancia y variabilidad de los asentamientos durante esta época, más allá de los grandes castillos. ENGLISH: This paper presents both workflow and results of the first virtual hypothesis for the Medieval settlement of Peñaflor. The resulted visualisations are derived from the analysis and integrated interpretation of written, archaeological and ethnographic sources, together with geophysical prospection and photogrammetry techniques. From the one side, the aim is to help understanding and disseminating the knowledge about the only fortified medieval repoblación hilltop settlement in the southern Meseta of the Iberian Peninsula which is formally under research. On the other, to bring the importance and archaeological variability of the repopulation pattern apart from great castles
