Physical activity in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome and obesity

    Get PDF
Polycystic ovary syndrome and obesity are probably the most frequent endocrine disorders among women of fertile age, affecting approximately 20% of the female population. Polycystic ovary syndrome is characterized by elevated ovarian production of androgens, disturbed ovulation and ultrasound findings of polycystic ovaries. Although the aetiology of polycystic ovary syndrome remains largely unknown, there are strong indications of a genetic predisposition

The research is focused on the analysis of potentiality of diagnostics and differentiation of cholelithiasis of patients with chronic cholecystitis and diabetes mellitus type 2 by means of new technique of polarization correlometry of human bile layers laser images. The techniques of laser polarimetry diagnostics of optical anisotropic structure have become widely spread among optical diagnostic methods of human biological tissues. A number of techniques of early diagnostics and differentiation of pathological changes in biological tissues structure, connected with their degenerative-dystrophic and oncological changes were developed. Biological fluids are much more accessible for direct laboratory analysis if compared with traumatic techniques of the biological tissue biopsy. In terms of the above mentioned the task of searching new additional parameters for laser diagnostics of biological fluids’ optical anisotropic structure appears to be topical. There was investigated a new technique of estimating the structure of laser images based on measuring coordinate distributions of mutual polarization degree is suggested that characterizes the homogeneity of optically isotropic and optically anisotropic components in biochemical composition of bile. The statistical (mean, dispersion, asymmetry and excess), correlation (correlation area of distribution of mutual polarization degree values) and fractal (dispersion of extremes of log-log dependencies of power spectra of mutual polarization degree values distribution) criteria of polarization-correlation diagnostics of cholelithiasis latent course and its stages differentiation on the background of chronic cholecystitis, diabetes mellitus type 2 and complex pathology are determined and substantiated

LASER POLARIZATION-VARIABLE AUTOFLUORESCENCE OF THE NETWORK OF OPTICALLY ANISOTROPIC BIOLOGICAL TISSUES: DIAGNOSTICS AND DIFFERENTIATION OF EARLY STAGES OF CANCER OF CERVIX UTERI

This research presents the results of investigation of laser polarization fluorescence of biological layers (histological sections, cytological smears) in the task of diagnostics and differentiation of early stages of cancer: Dysplasia β€” cervical microinvasive carcinoma of cervix uteri. The analytical conditions of polarization-optimal probing of biological layers were determined basing on the model of linear birefringence and dichroism of birefringent (fibrillar, porphyrin) networks. The technique of polarization-variable laser autofluorescence was developed and experimentally tested. The objective criteria (statistical moments) of differentiation of histological sections autofluorescent images of endometrium biopsy and cytological smears of it mucous coat were defined. The operational characteristics (sensitivity, specificity, accuracy) of this technique were determined concerning the positions of probative medicine, and clinical efficiency

The theoretical background of correlation and phase analysis of laser images of human blood plasma with the spatial-frequency selection of the manifestations of mechanisms of linear and circular birefringence of albumin and globulin is presented. The comparative results of measuring the coordinate distributions of the module of complex degree of coherence (CDC) of laser images of blood plasma taken from the patients of three groups-healthy patients (donors), the patients suffering from the rheumatoid arthritis, and those with stomach cancer (adenocarcinoma)-are shown. The values and ranges of change of the statistical (moments of the 1st–4th order), correlation (excess of autocorrelation functions), and fractal (slopes of approximating curves and dispersion of the extremes of logarithmic dependencies of power spectra) parameters of CDC coordinate distributions are studied. The objective criteria of diagnostics of the pathology and differentiation of the inflammation and oncological state are determined

We propose an optical model of the Mueller-matrix description of mechanisms of optical anisotropy of polycrystalline films of urine, namely, optical activity and birefringence. The algorithm of reconstruction of distributions of parameters-optical rotation angles and phase shifts of the indicated anisotropy types-are elaborated upon. The objective criteria of differentiation of urine films taken from healthy donors and albuminuria patients by means of statistical analysis of such distributions are determined. The operational characteristics (sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy) of the Mueller-matrix reconstruction method of the optical anisotropy parameters are defined

In this part the description of the basic types of human biological fluids is given. Experimentally measured coordinate divisions of Jones-matrix elements of optically thin polycrystalline networks are cited. Algorithms are provided and experimental methodology of measuring Jones-matrix imaging is analyzed. Experimental results of investigation of statistic, correlational and fractal parameters characterizing Jonesmatrix imaging of polycrystalline networks of the basic types of human biological fluids are represented. The system of classification of optical anisotropic peculiarities of biological fluids’ membranes based on statistic, correlational, space-frequency and spectral approach is suggested
