    In 2003/2004 the NA48/2 experiment collected a large sample of K± decays. Using a run with minimal trigger conditions, samples of 2.5 x 10610^6 KΌ3±K^±_{\mu3} and 4.0 x 10610^6 Ke3±K^±_{e3} events were selected. These samples allow precise measurements of the form factors in various parametrizations. This report describes the event selections and the fitting procedure and gives a preliminary result

    Der semileptonische Zerfall K^±→π^0 ÎŒ^± υ ist ein geeigneter Kanal zur Be-stimmung des CKM-Matrixelementes 〖|V〗_us |. Das hadronische Matrixelement dieses Zerfalls wird durch zwei dimensionslose Formfaktoren f_± (t) beschrieben. Diese sind abhĂ€ngig vom ImpulsĂŒbertrag t=〖(p_K-p_π)〗^2 auf das Leptonpaar. Zur Bestimmung von 〖|V〗_us | dienen die Formfaktoren als wichtige Parameter zur Berechnung des Phasenraumintegrals dieses Zerfalls. Eine prĂ€zise Messung der Formfaktoren ist zusĂ€tzlich dadurch motiviert, dass das Resultat des NA48-Experimentes von den ĂŒbrigen Messungen der Experimente KLOE, KTeV und ISTRA+ abweicht. Die Daten einer Messperiode des NA48/2 -Experimentes mit offenem Trigger aus dem Jahre 2004 wurden analysiert. Daraus wĂ€hlte ich 1.8 Millionen K_ÎŒ3^±-Zerfallskandidaten mit einem Untergrundanteil von weniger als 0.1% aus. Zur Bestimmung der Formfaktoren diente die zweidimensionale Dalitz-Verteilung der Daten, nachdem sie auf Akzeptanz des Detektors und auf radiative Effekte korrigiert war. An diese Verteilung wurde die theoretische Parameter-abhĂ€ngige Funktion mit einer Chiquadrat-Methode angepasst. Es ergeben sich fĂŒr quadratische, Pol- und dispersive Parametrisierung folgende Formfaktoren: λ_0=(14.82±〖1.67〗_stat±〖0.62〗_sys )×〖10〗^(-3) λ_+^'=(25.53±〖3.51〗_stat±〖1.90〗_sys )×〖10〗^(-3) λ_+^''=( 1.40±〖1.30〗_stat±〖0.48〗_sys )×〖10〗^(-3) m_S=1204. 8±〖32.0〗_stat±〖11.4〗_(sys ) MeV/c^2 m_V=(877.4±〖11.1〗_stat±〖11.2〗_(sys ) MeV/c^2 LnC=0.1871±〖0.0088〗_stat±〖0.0031〗_(sys )±=〖0.0056〗_ext Λ_+=(25.42±〖0.73〗_stat±〖0.73〗_(sys )±=〖1.52〗_ext )×〖10〗^(-3) Die Resultate stimmen mit den Messungen der Experimente KLOE, KTeV und ISTRA+ gut ĂŒberein, und ermöglichen eine Verbesserung des globalen Fits der Formfaktoren. Mit Hilfe der dispersiven Parametrisierung der Formfaktoren, unter Verwendung des Callan-Treiman-Theorems, ist es möglich, einen Wert fĂŒr f_± (0) zu bestimmen. Das Resultat lautet: f_+ (0)=0.987±〖0.011〗_(NA48/2)±〖0.008〗_(ext ) Der fĂŒr f_+ (0) berechnete Wert stimmt im Fehler gut mit den vorherigen Messungen von KTeV, KLOE und ISTRA+ ĂŒberein, weicht jedoch um knapp zwei Standardabweichungen von der theoretischen Vorhersage ab.The semileptonic decay K^±→π^0 ÎŒ^± υ provide a accurate and theoretically clean way to measure the CKM matrix element 〖|V〗_us |. The hadronic matrix element of this decay is described by two dimensionless form factors f_± (t), which depend on the squared four-momentum t=〖(p_K-p_π)〗^2 transferred to the lepton system. These form factors are important input parameters to the phase space integral of those decays for the determination of 〖|V〗_us |. Also the discrepancies of the NA48 results in comparison to the results of the experiments KLOE, KTeV and ISTRA+ motivats this analysis. The data of the minimum bias run collected in 2004 by the NA48/2 experiment were analysed and 1.8 million K_ÎŒ3^±candidates, with a background contamination of less then 0.1%, were selected. The following parameter values were obtained from a modified Χ^2 fit to the dalitsplot destiny, using the quadratic, pole and dispersive parametrisation: λ_0=(14.82±〖1.67〗_stat±〖0.62〗_sys )×〖10〗^(-3) λ_+^'=(25.53±〖3.51〗_ stat±〖1.90〗_sys )×〖10〗^(-3) λ_+^''=( 1.40±〖1.30〗_stat±〖0.48〗_sys )×〖10〗^(-3) m_S=1204.8±〖32.0〗_stat±〖11.4〗_(sys ) MeV/c^2 m_V=(877.4±〖11.1〗_stat±〖11.2〗_(sys ) MeV/c^2 LnC=0.1871±〖0.0088〗_stat±〖0.0031〗_(sys )±=〖0.0056〗_ext Λ_+=(25.42±〖0.73〗_stat±〖0.73〗_(sys )±=〖1.52〗_ext )×〖10〗^(-3) This results are in good comparison with the ones given by KLOE, KTeV und ISTRA+, and offers a improvement of the global fit of the form factors. Using the dispersive parametrisation of the form factors in combination with the Callan-Treiman-theorem, a calculation of f_+ (0) was done. The value is given below: f_+ (0)=0.987±〖0.011〗_(NA48/2)±〖0.008〗_(ext ) The result is in good comparison with the values given by KLOE, KTeV and ISTRA+ but shows a two sigma discrepancy from the theoretical prediction

    Search for heavy neutrinos in K+→Ό+ΜΌK^+ \rightarrow \mu^+ \nu_{\mu} decays

    International audienceThe NA62 experiment recorded a large sample of K+→Ό+ΜΌ decays in 2007. A peak search has been performed in the reconstructed missing mass spectrum. In the absence of a signal, limits in the range 2×10−6 to 10−5 have been set on the squared mixing matrix element |UÎŒ4|2 between muon and heavy neutrino states, for heavy neutrino masses in the range 300–375 MeV/ c2 . The result extends the range of masses for which upper limits have been set on the value of |UÎŒ4|2 in previous production search experiments

    Measurement of the form factors of charged kaon semileptonic decays

    International audienceA measurement of the form factors of charged kaon semileptonic decays is presented, based on 4.4 × 106^{6}K±^{±} → π0^{0}e±^{±}Îœe_{e} (Ke3±_{e3}^{±} ) and 2.3 × 106^{6}K±^{±} → π0^{0}Ό±ΜΌ_{ÎŒ} (KÎŒ3±_{ÎŒ3}^{±} ) decays collected in 2004 by the NA48/2 experiment. The results are obtained with improved precision as compared to earlier measurements. The combination of measurements in the Ke3±_{e3}^{±} and KÎŒ3±_{ÎŒ3}^{±} modes is also presented

    International audienceThe NA48/2 experiment at CERN reports the first observation of the K±^{±} → π0^{0}π0^{0}Ό±^{±}Îœ decay based on a sample of 2437 candidates with 15% background contamination collected in 2003–2004. The decay branching ratio in the kinematic region of the squared dilepton mass above 0.03 GeV2^{2}/c4^{4} is measured to be (0.65 ± 0.03) × 10−6^{−6}. The extrapolation to the full kinematic space, using a specific model, is found to be (3.45 ± 0.16) × 10−6^{−6}, in agreement with chiral perturbation theory predictions
